Answer: false for almost everything that matters 😮 Your skin renews on a cycle of roughly 28 days, and real change needs at least one full cycle, usually two. A client nearly proved this the hard way. Two weeks into her new routine: "nothing's happening, I want to change everything" 😩 What we told her: week 2 is exactly when most people quit, and exactly when quitting costs the most. The work was happening below the surface where she couldn't see it yet. She stayed. Week 6, the texture smoothed. Week 10, she sent us a selfie with no caption. None needed 🥹✨

Tonight's quiz 💤 True or false: if a product really works, you'll see results within a week 🤔 (Answer tomorrow at 8am ☀️)

Answer: oily skin still needs moisturizer 🎯 The other three can stay in the bin where they belong. Final week of the series, and we saved the biggest myths for last: the ones about the journey itself. How fast results should come, what one product can do, and when it's time to stop going it alone 🛤️ These are the myths that don't just waste money. They're the ones that make people give up two weeks before the good part 😔 Starting tonight ✨

Week 3 recap quiz 💤 Which one of these is actually TRUE? 🤔 (Answer tomorrow at 8am ☀️)

Two myths, one post, because they're mirror images 🪞 "I'm too young to think about ageing." Sunscreen in your 20s IS the anti-ageing routine. The damage that shows at 40 is mostly booked decades earlier ☀️ "It's too late for my skin to change." Tell that to LK, who started with us at 55 and glows harder than most of our twenty-somethings 😌 Skin is never too young for protection and never too old to respond. The only bad time to start understanding it is never 🌱✨

Fresh from our Google reviews 🥹 Six months of consultations, every question answered patiently by Faye, and the scoreboard reads: less redness, fewer whiteheads, and counting 📉 "The service is so personal." That's how skin questions deserve to be answered. For YOUR skin, not the average face in a myth 🤍✨

Answer: false, and half our studio chairs can confirm 😅 Acne doesn't check your birth certificate. Adult breakouts are extremely common, especially for women, and they play by different rules: more hormonal patterns around the jaw and chin, on skin that's often drier and more sensitive than a teenager's 😮 Which is why the harsh teenage treatments usually fail adult skin. Stronger isn't the answer when the skin underneath has changed. If your breakouts came back in your late 20s or 30s, nothing went wrong with you. Your skin changed chapters, and your approach gets to change with it 🤍✨

A client once popped a pimple she swore was ready. We met the result: a dark mark on her cheek, six months old and still visible 😔 Here's what squeezing actually does: whatever comes out the top, part of it also goes DOWN, deeper into the skin. That's how one blocked pore becomes a bigger inflammation, and how a 5-day pimple becomes a 6-month mark 😳 What we told her: hands are for spot treatment, not pressure. And proper extractions are a professional skill with sterile tools, done at the right depth, at the right time. The pimple always leaves faster than the mark it leaves behind 💡✨

This morning's myth, meet tonight's proof 💧 Her "before" skin was doing exactly what we described: stripped of moisture, overproducing oil to cope, congested from the chaos. The fix wasn't skipping moisturizer. It was the right one, plus a routine that stopped scaring her skin into survival mode 😌 Hydrated, balanced, calm. Oily skin can get there too 👉 bit.ly/4bQeiwO

11
Answer: false, and skipping it usually backfires 😮 When oily skin goes without moisture, it reads the dryness as an emergency and pumps out MORE oil to compensate. You end up shinier than when you started 😅 Remember the oily-but-thirsty client from last month? Same physics. Oily skin doesn't need no moisturizer. It needs the right one: lightweight gels and lotions that hydrate without the heaviness 💧 Hydrated oily skin is calmer oily skin. Every time ✨

Sunday reminder 🤍 A breakout is not a grade. A flare is not a failure. Skin responds to a hundred things, and only some of them are in your control. You can do everything right and still have a hard skin week. That's biology, not blame 🌱 Care for your skin like you'd care for a friend: consistently, kindly, and without keeping score ✨

Myth amnesty week 💬 Send us the skincare "fact" you've always believed and never questioned. The one from your mum, your group chat, that one video 👀 Drop it on Instagram @befoundstudios. No judgment, we've heard everything 😌 We'll fact-check the top 3 right here on the channel next week 🤍

A client once told us the sun was the only thing that cleared her breakouts ☀️ Every beach trip, smoother skin. She was half right, and that's what made it dangerous. Sun exposure dries the skin's surface and the redness hides behind a tan, so breakouts LOOK better for a week or two 😮 Then the rebound: her skin, stripped dry, produced more oil than before. And every breakout that healed under UV left a darker, more stubborn mark 😔 What we told her: the sun wasn't treating her acne, it was charging interest on it. SPF went from her most-skipped step to her most protected one 💡✨

Today's myth deserves a real story 🤍 Abigail came to us with deep, painful acne after a lifetime of clear skin, "at a loss as to how to begin fixing it." Not a hygiene problem. A skin problem that needed understanding. By the end of her programme the acne was gone, and her takeaway says everything: "I understand my skin now and know to approach skincare advice and products with more caution and intention" 💡 Understanding first. Everything else follows ✨
336
17
New week, heavier myth 🤍 "Breakouts mean your face is dirty." This one doesn't just spread bad advice, it spreads shame. People scrub harder, wash more, and feel like their skin is a verdict on their habits 😔 The truth: acne is hormones, genetics, oil production and bacteria interacting, not a cleanliness score. Some of the most diligent routines we've ever seen belonged to clients with the most stubborn breakouts. And over-washing strips the barrier, which makes everything angrier. Remember month 1? Gentle won then. Gentle wins now 🤍✨

Makeup week confession time 🙈 Which myth were you living by before this week?
328
19
Answer: still false 😅 And if you remembered from August, we're genuinely proud. The refresher: to get the SPF printed on the compact, you'd need around 7 times more foundation than anyone actually wears. Nobody's doing that. The order that works: sunscreen as its own full step, let it set for a few minutes, then makeup on top as a bonus layer ☀️ Bonus tip while we're here: that setting time is also what stops pilling. Most "my products ball up" problems are just layers that never got a minute to settle 💡✨

The comeback round 😏 We asked this in August. Did it stick? True or false: the SPF in your foundation or cushion is enough protection for the day 🤔 (Answer tomorrow at 8am ☀️)
