Me stesso. Una volta dentro, saremo perfetti. di Ajahn Brahm (monaco buddhista inglese) da: “Una camionata di merda” 🌈 If you find it difficult to say to someone else ‘The door to my heart will always be open to you, whatever you do’, that difficulty pales in comparison to the difficulty you will face in saying to yourself: ‘Me. The person I have been close to for as long as I can remember. Myself. The door to my heart is open to me too. To every part of me, no matter what I’ve done. Come in.” This is what I mean by loving ourselves: it’s called forgiveness. It means freeing ourselves from the prison of guilt; it means being at peace with ourselves. And if you find the courage to say these words to yourself, in all honesty, in the privacy of your inner world, then you will rise up, rather than stoop down, to encounter sublime love. Sooner or later we must all say these words to ourselves, or something similar, with sincerity, without any games. When we do so, it will be as though a part of us that has been rejected, that has lived out in the cold for so long, has finally come home. We will feel whole, complete, and free to be happy. Only when we love ourselves in this way can we understand what it means to truly love one another – no more and no less. And please remember that you don’t have to be perfect, without blemish, to grant yourselves this kind of love. If you wait for perfection, it will never come. We must open the door of our hearts to ourselves, whatever we may have done. Once inside, we will be perfect. by Ajahn Brahm (UK buddhist monk) from: "A truckload of shit"

All’epoca ero solo un adolescente. When I was about thirteen, my father took me aside and told me something that would change my life. It was just the two of us in his dented old car on a side street in one of London's poorest suburbs. He turned to me and said: 'Son, whatever you do in life, know that the front door will always be open to you. I was just a teenager at the time. I didn't really understand what he meant, but I knew it was something important, so I remembered it. My father would die three years later. When I became a monk in Northeast Thailand, I thought back to my father's words. Our home at the time was a small flat in a council block in a poor London suburb, not much of a home to open a door into. But then I realised that this was not what my father meant. What his words contained, like a jewel wrapped in cloth, was the most solid expression of love I know: "Son, whatever you do in life, know that the door of my heart will always be open for you." My father was offering me unconditional love. With no strings attached. I was his son, and that was enough. It was beautiful. He was sincere. He meant it. It takes courage and wisdom to say those words to another person, to open the door of the heart to someone else, without "ifs" and "buts". Perhaps we might have the doubt that he might take advantage of us, but that is not how it works, at least in my experience. When you see yourself offering that kind of love, it is like receiving the most precious of gifts. You guard it carefully, you hold it close to your heart, so as not to run the risk of losing it. Even though at the time I only partly understood what my father meant, I would never hurt such a man. If you offer these words to someone close to you, if you mean them, if they come from your heart, the person will rise, instead of lowering, to meet your love. by Ajahn Brahm (uk buddhist monk) from: "A truckload of shit"

There are two fundamental fears: - losing what you have - not getting what you want There is only one solution: to fall in love with who you are. There At last we realise that our partners, what we do, our religions, our possessions, our trophies, our bank balances, the fabulous certificates hanging on our walls and even our perfect bodies will not make us happy. Not permanently, at least. This realisation is disillusionment, the shattering of illusions, the fading of childhood dreams, and it often manifests itself as depression, anxiety, existential nausea… But disillusionment can be a marvellous thing. For, at its very heart, lies an invitation to move beyond all the comforts and pleasures of the world—which will never truly deliver on their promises—and to rediscover That Which Never Changes. When you realise that nothing, no external ‘thing’ – no person, no object, no substance, circumstance, revelation, no singular experience – has ever had the power to make you permanently happy, you discover a deeper invitation; you realise that ‘nothingness’, which is you, is the source of true happiness and that all experiences contain the key to it. Nothing can make you happy, so happiness is within you, and this is the source of great joy. by Jeff Foster (US spiritual guide) from facebook

https://www.tiktok.com/@rustic.wood.and.d/video/7662365217652821280 Remember that this human experience is temporary; you arrive with nothing, spend your life chasing after everything, and in the end you leave again with nothing. Money, cars, your home – all the things you’ve stressed over, the promotions for which you’ve sacrificed your health – none of it will come with you. So what was the point? We wear ourselves out collecting things that will never follow us through the exit door. Make sure your soul gains more than your hands. Make sure you’ve lived, not just accumulated. Make sure you’ve loved deeply, not just worked endlessly. The things you can’t measure are the ones that matter. Your hands will be empty when you leave. Make sure your soul isn’t.

Love this solitude. Invite a warm, curious attention into your bones. Until there is no more solitude, only self-love. You are worthy, in this stillness. You are full, in this emptiness. There is no 'original sin'. www.tiktok.com/@katoh_5/video/7668443510860746016 Buddhism teaches that fear need not be an enemy; it can be a teacher. Instead of running away from it, we can learn to understand it and transform it into a path of personal growth. Nothing is permanent; everything changes all the time. Nothing in life stays the same for very long. What seems stable today can change in an instant, and this is one of the main sources of anxiety. The fear of losing something or of not being able to predict the future can leave us paralysed, trying to control every detail, but the truth is that the only thing guaranteed in life is change. However, when we accept that everything passes – both the joys and the challenges – we free ourselves from the anxiety of trying to control what is uncontrollable. Resistance to change is one of the main triggers of fear. To apply this idea to your daily life, try changing your perspective on the fear of change. Instead of seeing it as a threat, consider it an invitation to grow.
