| 2 | "I saw the end of Tsarist Russia, I remember in detail. In Tsarist times everything was peaceful and pious. I remember going out into the garden and hearing the ringing of the church bells. How good it was to the soul, as if heaven had come down to earth, and one felt an incomprehensible and profound peace. I remember how exactly grandmother took the newspaper and said the following: 'This is the end of Russia!' On the front page in big letters it was written that the Sovereign had abdicated the throne. I remember the unforgettable difference when the revolution broke out. Everything changed, heaven changed. A mystical fear descended on everyone. Everyone lost their inner peace."
~ Metropolitan Vitaly (Ustinov) of ROCOR

| 3 | "Comrade Stalin says that with regard to Germany it was necessary to conclude [lit. “enter into”] a half-hearted peace in the form of the Versailles Treaty. Versailles became a half-hearted peace when they began to give privileges to Germany. Such a peace not only stimulated [lit. “promoted the conception of”] the idea of revenge, but also made this revenge possible. It would be possible to conclude a different peace, leaving Germany with its territories, Sudetenland to Czechoslovakia, and Alsace-Lorraine to the French. But this is a very dangerous combination. A third combination is to weaken Germany - take away its industry, disarm its army and thus weaken Germany by 50 years. He, Comrade Stalin, believes that [it is] exactly this combination [that] must be adopted... Comrade Stalin, hardly thinks that England will violate its agreements. America is interested in destroying the industry of Germany and Japan. Germany and Japan have cheap labor. It is difficult to compete with Japan. Japan quickly copies the technical achievements [of others] and has a force of cheap labor. The only way to eliminate Germany and Japan as competitors is to destroy their industry. This is beneficial even to us. Only when we break the Hitlerite government and state, will we, that is the United States, England, and Russia, be in the same camp. He, Comrade Stalin, considers that this is in our general interests. This is his Bolshevik view of this question."

| 12 | The Irish National Liberation Army (INLA) was a Republican Socialist paramilitary organisation which operated mainly in Northern Ireland during The Troubles. It is the military wing of the Irish Republican Socialist Party, both of which were founded in 1974 by former members of the Official IRA.
The disagreement on the armed campaign stemmed from a fundamentally ideological dispute. The Stickies had taken a Stalinist approach to socialist struggle, believing that Protestant and Catholic workers would have to unite before having a chance at victory. Costello, and thus the INLA, advocated for a broad front of militant republicanism and socialism in Ireland. Costello believed that a militant campaign alone would never defeat the British army, and that the fusion of militant activism and widespread public agitation was the only way to fulfil their goals. It was the desire for a broad front in Ireland which led the INLA to lead a number of meetings between the INLA, Provisionals and the Communist Party of IR | 1 255 |

| 14 | On the meaning of the word "Homeland" in nationalist thinking
"The homeland is the essential spiritual and physical family that unites the land of the ancestors and maintains its traditions. The village, the home country, are not the homeland. The motherland excludes both the idea of LOCAL as well as the idea of UNIVERSAL. The mind must not try to delimit "the homeland" to be delimited by the territory of a certain state... the motherland is also not a coalition of special interest groups, or some solidarity of civil or military adventurers who are in search of gains or glory from someone else. The motherland pre-exists, like the race; we commune in the motherland by the heart... it exists to higher degrees and does not fit into a precise framework of the state. It starts with the territory, but is beyond just the Breton borders, to places far away. Some shores across the Channel are for us, a little bit of motherland. Thus Brittany, Alsace, Flanders are homelands within other larger, more crowded homelands: Celtia, Germania"

| 20 | On June 7, 1927, 19-year-old Russian student Boris Koverda executed Voikov, the murderer of the Royal Family.
Peter Voykov (Weiner Pinchus), who arrived in Russia among Lenin’s associates in the famous “floating car,” was sent to the Urals and became one of the direct participants in the murder of the Royal Family on July 4/17, 1918. He led the disposal of the bodies, ensuring the delivery of acid. In 1924, Voikov became the Soviet envoy to Warsaw. During the pivotal year of 1927, under the influence of drunken embassy staff at an evening gathering, he recounted the terrible story of the Royal Family’s murder in the House of Ipatiev to the future non-returner, Besedovsky.
Boris Koverda responded to the Bolsheviks for their crime.
In his speech at the trial, Boris Koverda said:“I avenged Russia for millions of people (...) whether there is a monarchy or a republic in Russia, if only there are no gang of scoundrels from whom so many Russian lives have been lost.” | 3 665 |
