🚨 Scheduled Maintenance - AWS infrastructure on July 9, 2026

Maintenance Time: 21:00-23:00 UTC
On July 9, we will carry out scheduled AWS infrastructure maintenance.
Starting at 21:00 UTC, gateways will be upgraded sequentially. Each upgrade will take 15 minutes, with 6 gateways in total, bringing the full maintenance window to around 2 hours. This will only impact clients who are using our AWS Private Link connectivity.
If you encounter any issues with AWS Direct Connectivity, you can continue to access Deribit via www.deribit.com as a fallback.

| 11 |  Changes to Deribit’s Fee Structure
As Deribit continues to expand and prepare for the listing of more derivative instruments, we are updating our fee structure to make it simpler, cheaper and more reflective of current market conditions, effective August 1, 2026.
What is Changing?
• Lower Barriers to VIP Status: We have reduced the 30-day volume thresholds across all VIP fee tiers. This means it is now easier and faster for you to qualify for higher tiers and unlock discounted fees.
• Refined Fee Schedules: Updated maker and taker fees across futures, perpetuals, and spot instruments.
• All maker and taker fees for Spot markets will be temporarily waived until our spot markets are fully connected to the Coinbase spot markets.
• Introducing the VIP7 Tier: An exclusive tier specifically tailored to deliver maximum cost-efficiency and benefits for our highest-volume traders.
• Unified Liquidation Fees: A standard 1% liquidation fee will apply across all products (for options, the premium cap stays at 25%).
• Extended Tier Protection: To ensure a smooth transition, we are extending the tier downgrade freeze through July. Your current VIP status is fully protected for the entire month, giving you ample time to optimize your volume.

| 16 |  🚨 Change to Deribit Inverse Option Delivery Process
In April 2026, Linear (USDC settled) Options transitioned from being directly cash-settled to being future-settled. Effective August 1, 2026, before the 8:00 UTC expiry, Inverse (BTC resp. ETH settled) Options will also become future-settled.
What is changing?
Instead of settling directly into a coin, expiring inverse options will now be physically settled into an inverse futures contract with the same expiry date at 8:00 UTC. The expired inverse futures contract is then coin-settled in the usual manner. This also means that each inverse option expiry will have an associated inverse futures contract during its entire lifecycle.
What does it mean for you?
✅ Consistency: Structural change to the delivery mechanism - no impact on your final P/L or settlement currency.
✅ Lower Fees: Delivery fees are now charged only on the net remaining futures position. This means your fees will either decrease or stay the same.
✅ Performance: Improved engine stability during major expiries.
Note for API Users: Ensure your systems account for the brief transition from option to future during the 08:00 UTC expiry window.
