Correction to Previous API Announcement
Please note the following corrections to the earlier API change announcement (https://t.me/Bybit_API_Announcements/445):

groupId="5" will be used to query the Altcoin fee group.
* groupId="1", "6", "7", and "9" remain unchanged.

| 3 | [API Update] Upcoming Changes to Instrument Info API
There are two upcoming API updates for the Instrument Info endpoints.
### Change 1 — displayName Supports Unicode Characters, Production: 26 Aug 2026
The displayName response field will support Unicode characters, including Chinese characters.
Clients should ensure that their systems properly support UTF-8/Unicode when parsing, processing, or storing the displayName field.
### Change 2 — New PendingOpen Status, Production: 1 Sep 2026
A new instrument status, PendingOpen, will be introduced.
Previously, you may occasionally have received symbols with "status=Trading" while the contract was not yet fully ready for order placement. During this period, orders could be temporarily rejected.
With this update, such contracts will return "status=PendingOpen" when querying Instrument Info without specifying the "status" parameter. The status will automatically change to Trading once the contract is fully ready, after which you can start trading it.
Please make sure your system can properly recognize and handle the new PendingOpen status. This change applies to Linear and Inverse categories.

1. `asset-overview` Response Structure
Following our previous announcement (https://t.me/Bybit_API_Announcements/437) regarding the new `categories` field for `GET /v5/asset/asset-overview`, we would like to clarify that:
This response structure change applies only to `accountType: "UnifiedTradingAccount"`.
Other account types are not affected by this update.
Please ensure your integrations take this scope into consideration before the mainnet release.
2. `execType` Enum Updates
Following our previous announcement (https://t.me/Bybit_API_Announcements/430), the following updates will be introduced:
The previously introduced `CorporateAction` enum will be deprecated and replaced by:
* `ForwardSplitSettle` — Settlement for residual amounts from stock splits
* `ReverseSplitSettle` — Settlement for residual amounts from reverse stock splits

A new `Dividend` enum value will also be added to identify executions generated by dividend distributions.

1. A new `categories` field will be added to the API response.
* Type: `list`
* It contains the asset details that were previously returned under `coinDetail`.
* Each category will be identified by the `category` field, which can be:

* `STOCKS`
2. A new `equity` field will be added under each category to represent the total equity of that category.
3. The `equity` field under each category represents the total equity of all assets belonging to that category, while `coinDetail` provides the detailed breakdown by coin.
