| 3 |  10ms Speed Bump Extended to BTC and ETH Linear Perpetual Futures
Following positive results from the 10 millisecond speed bump on SOL, XRP and HYPE perpetuals, we are extending the 10 millisecond speed bump to BTC and ETH linear perpetual futures.
The change will take effect on 23 September 2026 at 09:00 UTC and remain in effect until further notice.
BTC and ETH inverse perpetual futures are not subject to the speed bump as part of this change.

| 4 |  Updated Maximum Position Sizes (NMax) For Perpetual Futures
We have reviewed and updated the maximum position size (NMax) parameters across our perpetual futures to better reflect current market liquidity.
Most NMax values have increased.
Altcoin perpetuals have the largest increases. Most clients can expect larger position size limits and more favourable margin requirements.
A small number of instruments have decreased their maximum position size. Clients holding substantial PAXG positions may see a modest increase in their margin requirements.
These changes apply to Standard Margin accounts only. No liquidations are expected.
The updated values take effect on Thursday, 24 September 2026 at 09:00 UTC.

| 5 |  🚀 Deribit’s New Matching Engine: From Milliseconds to Microseconds
Deribit’s new matching engine is built to process high order volumes with faster and more predictable response times.
Measured results following the rollout:
🔹 Median request-response latency fell from 4.7 milliseconds to 76 microseconds, an improvement of roughly 61×.
🔹 P99 latency, covering the slowest 1% of responses, fell from 124 milliseconds to 234 microseconds, an improvement of roughly 531×.
The new matching engine introduces deterministic matching, dedicated order-entry and market-data paths, and a 10-millisecond speed bump for aggressing derivatives orders, where applicable.

Based on positive results, including tighter bid ask spreads and significantly deeper liquidity, we have decided to keep the 10 ms speed bump active on SOL, XRP and HYPE linear perpetual futures until further notice.
This supersedes the previously communicated end time of 20 September 2026 at 16:00 UTC.
