🌟 Achieve Excellence with AUPP Faculty: Kenneth Lee Sutherland
Meet Kenneth Lee Sutherland, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Digital Technologies at the American University of Phnom Penh — an educator whose global journey bridges computer science, engineering, and real-world innovation.
Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and a PhD in Computer Engineering and Medical Physics from the University of Hokkaido. With over 30 years of professional experience in Japan, he has worked across video game development, medical imaging, and medical research.
His expertise spans:

Students from the Law and Legal Systems 101 course at AUPP recently visited the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) Resource Center for an educational learning experience.
During the visit, students explored the history of the Khmer Rouge, gained insights into the ECCC's mandate and its role in delivering justice for victims, and learned about its lasting legacy in Cambodia. They also toured the Resource Library, Archives, and Multipurpose Hall, and were introduced to the ECCC Legacy Website as a valuable resource for legal research and historical learning.
At AUPP, experiential learning extends beyond the classroom, providing students with opportunities to engage directly with Cambodia's legal institutions and deepen their understanding of justice, history, and the rule of law. | 410 |

Meet Bunnat Noeun, AUPP Class of 2023, whose journey reflects leadership, dedication, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
A graduate of AUPP’s dual degree Law program, Bunnat is currently serving as an Assistant to Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia. He also serves as a member of the Policy Department of the National Committee for Promoting the Implementation of Key Measures for the Education Sector of the Royal Government, 7th Legislature of the National Assembly.
Expanding his academic journey beyond Cambodia, Bunnat is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Relations at Monash University, further strengthening his expertise in global affairs and public policy.

On Thursday, June 25th, students from the Legal Ethics class at the American University of Phnom Penh, along with other law students, visited the Cambodian Bar Association for an academic engagement session.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to meet with the Deputy Secretary General of the Bar and his assistant, gaining valuable insights into legal ethics and professional standards in practice. The session encouraged open dialogue, with students actively asking thoughtful and critical questions on contemporary legal issues in Cambodia.
This experience allowed students to connect classroom learning with real-world legal practice, demonstrating strong analytical thinking, professionalism, and engagement with legal experts.

The American University of Phnom Penh was honored to welcome representatives from the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh and the U.S. Air Force Pacific Brass Band for a special Music Diplomacy Program held in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.
The event brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests for a morning of music, dialogue, and cultural exchange. Participants enjoyed an inspiring performance by the Pacific Brass Band, engaged in meaningful discussions during a Q&A session, and joined a collaborative jam session that highlighted the power of music to connect people across cultures.

The American University of Phnom Penh proudly congratulates Team ចក្ខុវិស័យ for achieving Top 2 at Unipreneur, one of Cambodia's leading entrepreneurship development programs organized by Khmer Enterprise in collaboration with Reactor School.
Competing against 75 teams from 18 universities, Team ចក្ខុវិស័យ impressed the judges with their innovative project, Bondus (បណ្ដុះ), an AI-powered personalized learning platform designed to help high school and university students prepare for entrance exams, scholarship exams, IELTS, HSK, and more.

| 16 |  +6🚀 Another International Win for Strokify: AUPP Students Secure Top 3 at CAIEC!
We are incredibly proud to share that Hieng Dara and Van Meysorng represented Cambodia at the 4th China-ASEAN International Entrepreneurship Competition (CAIEC) Finals in Vientiane, Laos, where their startup, Strokify, earned 3rd place among 500 teams from across China and ASEAN. 🇱🇦
Competing alongside enterprise companies and student teams working in healthcare, education, manufacturing, and other industries, they advanced to the finals and secured a place on the podium. Our students were also the only Cambodian undergraduate team to reach the finals.
Beyond the competition, the experience provided valuable opportunities to reconnect with old friends, build new regional connections, and exchange ideas with innovators from across ASEAN and China.

Meet Nhim Chhouby, a passionate International Relations and Diplomacy student at the American University of Phnom Penh whose journey reflects purpose, leadership, and impact.
Beyond academics, she is actively engaged in social advocacy, working on initiatives related to gender equality, civic liberty, environmental protection, and youth empowerment.
Chhouby is also the founder of “Women in Politics” and “Green Miracle Project,” both aimed at raising awareness and inspiring meaningful change among young people in Cambodia.
Her journey is also shaped by meaningful academic and professional opportunities, including her role as an AYSE Public Policy Fellow, where she explores governance and reform in Cambodia.
