The Trump administration is working to restore the 988 "Press 3" crisis line for LGBTQ+ youth after Congress directed its return, but it plans to do so in a manner consistent with Executive Order 14168, which recognizes only two sexes under federal policy. Opponents of the specialized program argue that every person experiencing a mental health crisis should receive help through the same 988 system rather than creating identity-based services funded by taxpayers. They contend that crisis counseling should focus on preventing suicide and addressing mental health needs, not reinforcing contested views about gender identity. The administration maintains that 988 will continue providing 24/7 access to trained counselors for all Americans, while critics of restoring the specialized service argue that equal access to care does not require separate programs based on sexual orientation or gender identity. https://www.advocate.com/politics/national/trump-restoring-988-lgbtq-crisis#toggle-gdpr

U.S. authorities and international partners seized approximately 5,612 pounds (2,546 kilograms) of cocaine worth more than $305 million in three recent operations involving Panama, Mexico, and Guatemala, resulting in the arrest of 11 suspected traffickers. Separately, the U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a vessel near Puerto Rico carrying 40 illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Uzbekistan, with most repatriated. The operations are part of broader efforts to disrupt drug trafficking and illegal migration. The Trump administration has also expanded its campaign against cartels and transnational criminal organizations, including military strikes against drug-smuggling vessels, designation of cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, and a national drug control strategy focused on stopping illicit drug flows, securing supply chains, and combating criminal networks. https://archive.ph/C8a4I

President Trump endorsed Rep. Mike Collins in Georgia’s Republican U.S. Senate runoff, calling him a longtime MAGA ally and highlighting his support for policies such as the Laken Riley Act, which requires detention of illegal immigrants accused of certain crimes. Collins advanced to the runoff after leading the primary but failing to secure a majority. His opponent, former football coach Derek Dooley, responded by emphasizing his outsider status, support from Gov. Brian Kemp, and argument that he is better positioned to defeat Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in November. The runoff winner will face Ossoff in one of the nation’s most closely watched Senate races as Republicans seek to flip a key battleground-state Senate seat. https://archive.ph/0FciL

Arizona voters are expected to decide a series of legislative referrals in November 2026. HCR 2001 would require voter identification for all voting methods and is being promoted as the "Fast Election Results Act." HCR 2003 would require athletic associations to separate sports based on biological sex and would restrict access to bathrooms, locker rooms, and other private facilities based on biological sex. SCR 1004 would prohibit most photo-enforcement traffic cameras unless approved by voters where existing contracts are in place. HCR 2048 would protect scholarship funds designated for military families and prevent those funds from being redirected for other purposes. HCR 2040 would prohibit public school resources from being used to support labor organization activities. HCR 2007 would require larger school districts to devote a greater share of operational spending to direct classroom instruction and limit administrative spending. HCR 2044 would prohibit state-funded discrimination based on race, sex, color, national origin, or ethnicity and targets DEI-related policies. Measures previously referred to the ballot include a proposal to designate drug cartels as terrorist organizations, a measure prohibiting mileage-based vehicle taxes, and a measure limiting local grocery taxes. The referrals strengthen election integrity, protect women's sports, increase educational accountability, safeguard military families, and limit government overreach, while Democrats argue some proposals could restrict voting access, affect transgender students, weaken union activities, or impact public education funding. Arizona voters will have the final say in November 2026 and we must ensure these bills are passed by showing up to VOTE. https://www.kjzz.org/politics/2026-06-13/here-are-the-10-measures-lawmakers-sent-to-the-arizona-ballot-in-november

A 21-year-old woman, Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, died in Brazil after workers allegedly pushed her from a bridge during a rope-swing attraction without attaching the required safety rope. Witnesses reported that bystanders shouted warnings that she was not secured as she fell approximately 130 feet into a ravine. Authorities detained six people connected to the event as investigators examined how multiple safety checks reportedly failed. Video of the incident circulated widely online, and local reports indicate the attraction normally includes safety equipment that allows participants to swing beneath the bridge. The tragedy has drawn widespread attention and raised serious questions about safety procedures and oversight. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/horror-workers-throw-thrill-seeking-woman-bridge-brazil

A decomposing body wrapped in a black bag was discovered in the trunk of an abandoned SUV in a supermarket parking lot across from Caliente Stadium in Tijuana, where Iran’s national soccer team is training for the 2026 World Cup. Authorities found the body after residents reported a foul odor coming from the vehicle, which had reportedly been parked there for several days and showed signs of damage. The victim has not been identified, and investigators found evidence of violence. The discovery occurred under heavy security as Iran prepared for its opening match against New Zealand. Authorities have not indicated any connection between the death, the Iranian team, or the World Cup, while the incident highlights the ongoing violence and organized crime problems that have long plagued Tijuana. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/mexican-authorities-make-gruesome-discovery-outside-irans-world

Sen. John Fetterman publicly criticized the media’s handling of allegations surrounding Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner, arguing that journalists should press him about his long-term use of the messaging app Kik, its reputation for child-exploitation issues, and allegations about his online activity. Fetterman said Platner could address the controversy by releasing relevant communications and answering questions about his conduct. The controversy includes reports of sexually explicit messages sent while married, a Kik account dating back to 2016, a tattoo linked by critics to Nazi imagery, deleted social media posts containing offensive comments, self-described communist or socialist views, and allegations from former girlfriends involving abusive behavior. Despite the allegations, Platner remains the Democratic nominee challenging Sen. Susan Collins in a closely watched Senate race. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/john-fetterman-presses-kristen-welker-confront-graham-platner

President Trump’s name was removed from the Kennedy Center after federal courts upheld a ruling that only Congress has the authority to rename the institution. Judge Christopher Cooper blocked both the renaming of the Kennedy Center and the planned two-year closure for renovations, prompting overnight crews to remove Trump’s name from the building. The Trump administration’s appeal was denied, and supporters of the lawsuit celebrated the decision. Trump had appointed a new board aligned with his vision for the arts, and that board had voted to rename the venue the Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts. Following the court rulings, Trump stated that if the Kennedy Center cannot close for renovations and modernization, he would work with Congress to transfer responsibility for the institution back to Congress for future decisions. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/leftists-suffering-tds-cheer-as-workers-remove-trumps https://www.ntd.com/trumps-name-removed-from-kennedy-center_1152308.html

The New York Knicks won their first NBA championship in 53 years, but celebrations in Manhattan quickly devolved into chaos as crowds vandalized property, damaged vehicles, took over buses, launched fireworks into crowds, and attacked NYPD officers and mounted police, prompting numerous arrests. Similar incidents reportedly occurred during previous playoff celebrations, continuing a pattern of property destruction and confrontations with law enforcement. Winning a championship should be a reason to celebrate, not an excuse to damage a city. We will never understand how anyone thinks destroying property, attacking police, or endangering others is acceptable behavior, and those who turn a historic victory into riots and destruction do not deserve a win. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/knicks-win-title-nyc-burns-rioters-attack-nypd

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), which represents approximately 887,000 electricians, is accused of directing the overwhelming majority of its political spending toward Democrats despite growing Republican support among many rank-and-file union members. Between 2017 and 2024, about 98% of more than $11 million in contributions to party committees went to Democratic organizations, while roughly 87% of candidate contributions supported Democrats. Union leadership endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024, opposed Donald Trump, and continues to back Democratic candidates and policies, including support for former Senator Sherrod Brown. The union is also accused of spending member funds on activities disconnected from workers' priorities, including more than $1.5 million on golf-related expenses between 2017 and 2024. Significant salary disparities are highlighted between union leadership and members, with IBEW President Kenneth Cooper earning more than $1.1 million annually while the average union electrician earns about $83,000. Critics argue that union leadership has become politically and financially disconnected from many members, using dues-funded resources for partisan activism, executive compensation, and entertainment rather than advancing workplace priorities and member interests. https://www.dailywire.com/news/major-trade-union-exposed-for-bias-against-republicans

Senate Republicans approved three ballot referrals for the Nov. 2026 election focused on military families, classroom spendin+1
Senate Republicans approved three ballot referrals for the Nov. 2026 election focused on military families, classroom spending, and taxpayer accountability. One measure would constitutionally protect scholarship funds for military children from being diverted for other purposes. A second would require larger school districts to spend at least 60% of operational funds on direct classroom instruction and establish consequences for repeated noncompliance. A third would prohibit districts from using taxpayer-funded resources—including payroll systems, communications platforms, facilities, and other public assets—to support labor organization activities. The referrals aim to protect military families, direct more education dollars into classrooms, and ensure public resources are used for students rather than political or organizational activities. https://www.azsenaterepublicans.gov/press-releases/arizona-voters-poised-to-decide-key-reforms-backing-students-military-families-taxpayers

A convicted child molester who had been on the run for nearly 10 months was arrested in Scottsdale by the FBI Phoenix Desert Hawk Fugitive Task Force. Carl W. Cacconie was convicted in California in July 2025 on six counts of committing lewd acts on a child under 14 but failed to appear for sentencing after being released on $1 million bail. Authorities said his monitoring device stopped transmitting days before his scheduled sentencing, and he disappeared after last being seen in San Francisco. A federal warrant was later issued for unlawful flight, and investigators ultimately tracked him to Scottsdale. He is expected to be extradited to California for sentencing, where officials say he will finally be held accountable for his crimes. https://www.azfamily.com/2026/06/13/convicted-child-molester-found-scottsdale-after-nearly-10-months-run/

Pueblo High School is undergoing a rare culture and climate review after numerous teachers, former students, and community members raised concerns about sexism, intimidation, preferential treatment, and leadership failures under Principal Frank Rosthenhausler. Staff described a workplace where professional input is dismissed, employees are publicly shamed or threatened, and concerns about working conditions have persisted across a broad cross-section of the campus. The review was initiated after employees contacted the Tucson Unified School District Governing Board and will continue through the summer. Despite the complaints, Rosthenhausler stated he has signed his contract for next year and remains in his position while the investigation proceeds. The district says culture and climate reviews are uncommon and are conducted when significant concerns arise regarding employee treatment, workplace conditions, and the effectiveness of school leadership. https://azluminaria.org/2026/06/12/leadership-review-underway-at-pueblo-high-after-staff-complaints

The Senate unanimously passed legislation to examine how federal rules affect wildfire prevention and mitigation across federal, state, tribal, and private lands, sending the bill to President Trump for signature. The measure directs the Government Accountability Office to identify barriers that slow coordination and recommend ways to improve wildfire response when fires cross jurisdictional boundaries. Wildfires do not stop at property lines and that excessive bureaucracy and fragmented authority can hinder effective prevention and response efforts. The legislation reflects a focus on improving coordination, reducing regulatory obstacles, and ensuring that government agencies work together more effectively to protect communities, public lands, and local economies from increasingly destructive wildfires. https://azluminaria.org/2026/06/11/senate-unanimously-passes-gallego-wildfire-bill-measure-heads-to-president

Jeff Metcalf said the conviction of Karmelo Anthony brought him a sense of peace and relief for the first time since his son Austin was murdered, allowing the healing process to begin after more than a year of anxiety and grief. He described the pain of watching body camera footage from the scene and hearing Austin’s twin brother, Hunter, desperately calling for help. While saying Anthony deserves a life sentence and pledging to oppose any future parole, Metcalf also expressed a desire to forgive so he does not carry hatred and anger for the rest of his life. He condemned the harassment, doxxing, and racist attacks directed at his family by Anthony’s supporters, rejected attempts to portray the case as racially motivated, and emphasized that the case was about the murder of his son, not race. During victim impact statements, Austin’s family directly confronted Anthony, with Hunter declaring that Austin’s memory would endure long after Anthony is forgotten, and Jeff telling Anthony that he had been sentenced to a lifetime without his son. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/watch-austin-metcalfs-father-speaks-after-karmelo-anthony

The United States men's soccer team defeated Paraguay 4-1 in World Cup play, scoring four goals in a match for the first time in U.S. World Cup history. Before the game, every American player stood at attention with a hand over the heart during the National Anthem in front of more than 70,000 fans. After the victory, the entire team gathered at midfield for a group prayer, reflecting the openly expressed Christian faith of several prominent players, including captain Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie. Russian officials released documents in March 2022 alleging that Ukraine was operating biological laboratories near the Russian border and ordered the destruction of biological materials at the start of the Russian invasion. The released documents referenced pathogens including Salmonella and E. coli, while separate reporting highlighted U.S.-funded research involving anthrax and plague at a laboratory in Odessa. Archived U.S. Embassy documents showed Department of Defense funding for Ukrainian biological research facilities and veterinary laboratories. Additional reporting connected the origins of some of these facilities to a 2005 partnership involving then-Senators Barack Obama and Dick Lugar and cited testimony from Victoria Nuland acknowledging concerns about biological research facilities in Ukraine falling into Russian hands. Reporting also referenced documents concerning U.S.-funded coronavirus research in Ukraine, emails from Hunter Biden's laptop related to funding for contractors involved in pathogen research, and Tulsi Gabbard's announcement that evidence regarding U.S.-funded biolabs in 30 countries would be declassified. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/confirmed-barack-obama-was-involved-creation-us-biolabs Related Post: https://t.me/Fighting4_AZ/46730

John Cornyn sharply criticized President Trump after losing the Texas Republican Senate primary to Attorney General Ken Paxton, predicting Republicans could suffer significant losses in the midterm elections and warning that Trump could face a difficult final two years in office if that occurs. Cornyn expressed frustration over Trump's endorsement of Paxton despite describing Cornyn as a friend, accused Trump of expecting complete loyalty from Republican lawmakers, and argued that backing Paxton could make elections more difficult and expensive for Republicans. He also suggested that retiring senators and those no longer facing voters would have greater freedom to challenge the White House agenda. Cornyn's defeat ended a Senate career spanning more than two decades, while Paxton secured victory by positioning himself as the stronger MAGA candidate and winning Trump's support. Despite his criticism, Cornyn maintained that his voting record aligned with Trump's agenda nearly all of the time and said he is looking forward to life after Congress. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/am-bitter-sen-john-cornyn-goes-crying-new

An 88-year-old Trans New York man, Harvey Marcelin, was sentenced to life without parole for the 2022 murder and dismemberment of 68-year-old Susan Leyden. A jury convicted him of first-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, and concealment of a human corpse after prosecutors showed he killed Leyden in his apartment, dismembered her with a saw, and disposed of her remains. Leyden's torso was found in a shopping cart, while additional body parts and evidence were recovered from Marcelin's apartment. The conviction marked Marcelin's third killing of a woman. He had previously been convicted of murdering one girlfriend in 1963 and another in 1985, serving more than 50 years in prison before being paroled. The judge imposed the maximum sentence, concluding that Marcelin repeatedly killed after being released and would likely do so again if ever freed. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/elderly-transgender-serial-killer-harvey-marcelin-sentenced-life

A 79-year-old Michigan widow was nearly defrauded out of almost $700,000 after scammers convinced her that her Social Security number was connected to terrorism, drug activity, and money laundering and instructed her to convert her savings into gold coins. A coin shop owner recognized the warning signs, alerted law enforcement, and helped investigators set up a sting operation in which a courier accepted a package of chocolate gold coins instead of real gold. The courier, 20-year-old Yug B. Chauhan of Illinois, was arrested and charged with felony fraud offenses and is also subject to an ICE detainer. The victim recovered all of her money. Authorities say similar gold-based scams targeting elderly Americans are increasing nationwide, often involving fraudsters posing as government officials or law enforcement agents and pressuring victims to convert large sums of money into gold. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/michigan-coin-dealer-foils-700000-social-security-terrorism
