A group of Summerville High School students organized an anti-ICE walkout, and adult liberal activist and pub owner Dinah Chollet entered their private Instagram group chat, praised their activism, told them adults would support the protest and offered to help make it “the BEST.” The chat included minors as young as 14 and contained discussions about weapons, vandalizing or egging a conservative blogger’s home, finding his address, assaulting him and killing President Trump, although some students rejected those ideas and Chollet did not make the threatening statements herself. Conservative blogger Corey Allen Whittington accused Chollet of encouraging the students, and she was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but a judge dismissed the charge after finding no evidence connecting her to threats against Whittington and noting that the planned walkout never occurred. Adults have no business inserting themselves into private political organizing chats with children and encouraging minors to participate in partisan activism during the school day. Regardless of whether Chollet committed a crime, an adult joining a chat of high-school students to encourage their political protest was idiotic and crossed an appropriate adult-child boundary; adults should be protecting children from political radicalization, not participating in or facilitating it.

| 9 | Flock Safety is attempting to remove a public map identifying roughly 300,000 devices connected to its nationwide surveillance network, including more than 170,000 cameras and 130,000 acoustic sensors and other devices. Cybersecurity researcher Joshua Michael created the map using location data from a December 2025 snapshot of Flock records and received a trademark complaint demanding that he stop using the “FLOCK SAFETY” name and remove the map despite a disclaimer stating that the site is unaffiliated with the company. Flock previously sent a cease-and-desist letter to the creator of the DeFlock map, which now catalogs more than 100,000 automated license-plate-reader locations, and CEO Garrett Langley called DeFlock a “terroristic organization” before apologizing. | 10 | Arizona Army veteran David Navidad-Parra, 27, was murdered in December 2022 after disappearing while giving Abel Uribe a test drive during a private vehicle sale in Phoenix. Navidad-Parra was found fatally shot, and the stolen vehicle was later discovered burned in Glendale. Uribe pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and additional offenses including kidnapping, armed robbery, theft, arson, fraudulent use of a credit card and prohibited possession of a weapon. During Uribe’s sentencing hearing, Navidad-Parra’s 55-year-old father-in-law, Alberto Ontiveros Sanchez, delivered an emotional victim-impact statement and then attacked Uribe after hearing him laugh and snicker, striking him four or five times in the back of the head before court personnel intervened. The courtroom was cleared and proceedings temporarily halted. Sanchez, who had no prior criminal offenses, was arrested on aggravated-assault and misdemeanor allegations related to the courtroom disturbance and later released on his own recognizance. Uribe was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of release after 25 years for the murder, followed by a consecutive prison term for kidnapping.

Farooq and Dr. Karim AbuZaid lead Authentic Ilm Mission, which is raising money for a four-acre, 40,000-square-foot Islamic facility near Plano, Texas, that would provide K-12 Islamic education, a seminary and Da’wah training for Islamic proselytization. The project has raised $300,000 toward an $800,000 goal from about 1,500 donors in 50 countries. Farooq said the center would train young Muslims to defend Islam and refute Christian apologists, Islamophobes and others challenging Islamic teachings. He warned Muslims against compromising their principles and invoked historic Muslim military conquests in Portugal, Spain, Sicily and Europe, saying Muslims achieved victories when they went forward with “sword in hand” and the Quran in their hearts and actions, while centuries of compromise ultimately resulted in their defeat. Farooq has previously defended polygamy and the permissibility of sex with female captives and was barred from entering the United Kingdom over such comments; during a 2025 appearance in Birmingham, he declared, “The future is ours” and said fears of a Muslim Europe would come true. The proposed Texas facility would be located near the East Plano Islamic Center, a 10,000-member mosque involved in an ongoing legal dispute over a planned development containing more than 450 housing plots.

| 14 | The Department of Justice asked the U.S. Supreme Court to again pause a lower court order blocking the Trump administration from deporting illegal aliens to third countries rather than their countries of origin. The administration has now sought emergency Supreme Court intervention three times in the case. The Supreme Court previously voted 6-3 to stay District Judge Brian Murphy’s preliminary injunction, and after Murphy maintained that his order remained effective, the Court ruled 7-2 that its stay did apply to the injunction. Justice Elena Kagan, despite disagreeing with the original decision, said she did not see how a district court could enforce an order the Supreme Court had stayed. Murphy issued a final judgment blocking third-country deportations in February, and although the 1st Circuit initially stayed that decision, subsequent rulings allowed the blockade to resume. The administration maintains that Murphy’s latest order relies on the same fundamentally flawed legal reasoning previously rejected and that the case for allowing continued enforcement of the deportation policy has grown stronger. Tim Walz calling ICE the “modern-day Gestapo,” former Rep. Eric Swalwell comparing ICE agents to KGB officers, and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker invoking Nazi Germany. This rhetoric has made ICE officers less safe while they enforce federal immigration laws and has contributed to anti-ICE protests and violence. The Democratic Party has also reversed its previous position on illegal immigration: its 1996 platform declared that the country “cannot tolerate illegal immigration” and “must stop it,” while Democrats today tolerate illegal immigration and resist efforts to stop it.

| 20 | Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said about 300 of roughly 400 attorneys in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division left after the Trump administration directed the division to implement executive orders eliminating DEI policies and prioritizing voter-roll cleanup. Dhillon subsequently recruited more than 100 legal professionals to rebuild the division despite budget and hiring constraints. The previous Civil Rights Division had become a woke stronghold that failed to treat discrimination against Asian students, white applicants and others disadvantaged by DEI policies as race discrimination and resisted efforts to address illegal voting and inaccurate voter rolls. Reviews of tens of millions of voter records found hundreds of thousands of ineligible registrations, including more than 300,000 deceased voters, along with noncitizens registered for federal elections. The rebuilt division is focusing on race discrimination in employment and education, voter-roll maintenance, illegal voting, discrimination by federally funded universities, campus antisemitism, religious liberty and church blockades. Dhillon said the division is now operating as one unit and pursuing categories of civil-rights cases that the previous division would not have opened.
