The Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple in Triplicane is one of the most famous and ancient Vaishnavite Divya Desams in Chennai.
1.Significance and History Behind the Name
Location: The temple is situated in the Thiruvallikeni area of Chennai. In ancient times, this region was known as Tulasi Vanam (the sacred grove of Tulasi plants). In Tamil, the area is called Thiruvallikeni.
History: This sacred temple was built around the 8th century during the reign of the Pallava kings. It was subsequently expanded and developed under the Chola and Vijayanagara dynasties.
Divya Desam: The temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams, the most sacred Vishnu temples revered by Sri Vaishnavites. It has been glorified in the hymns of the Alwars, the great Vaishnavite saints.
2.Unique Features of the Temple
Presiding Deity (Moolavar): The principal deity is Lord Krishna, worshipped as Sri Parthasarathy the charioteer of Arjuna in the Mahabharata. The main idol stands in the form of Sri Venkata Krishna.
Distinctive Features: The face of the Lord bears small marks believed to represent the wounds caused by Bhishma's arrows during the Mahabharata war. Unlike most depictions of Lord Vishnu, the deity here has a moustache.
Furthermore, Lord Krishna had vowed not to wield weapons during the Kurukshetra war. In keeping with this divine promise, the main deity does not hold the Sudarshana Chakra; instead, He holds only the conch.
Five Divine Forms: Within the same temple complex, devotees can have the darshan of five distinct forms of Lord Vishnu:
Sri Parthasarathy
Sri Ramachandra
Sri Narasimha
Sri Ranganatha
Sri Gajendra Varadaraja
Divine Consort (Thayar): The Goddess is worshipped here as Sri Vedavalli Thayar.
3.Pushkarini (Sacred Temple Tank)
Outside the temple lies the sacred Kairavini Pushkarini, the temple tank. It is believed to contain five sacred theerthams (holy waters): Indra Theertham, Soma Theertham, Meena Theertham, Agni Theertham, and Vishnu Theertham.
4.Festivals and Celebrations
Brahmotsavam: The grand annual Brahmotsavam festival is celebrated during the Tamil month of Chithirai (April–May), attracting large numbers of devotees.
Vaikunta Ekadasi: During Vaikunta Ekadasi, observed in the Tamil month of Margazhi (December–January), the temple hosts the celebrated Pagal Pathu (ten-day daytime festival) and Ra Pathu (ten-day nighttime festival). These sacred celebrations draw huge crowds of devotees seeking the blessings of the Lord.
The Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple is a remarkable spiritual landmark where ancient Vaishnavite traditions, the divine leelas of Lord Krishna, and centuries of devotion come together. It remains one of the most cherished pilgrimage destinations for devotees of Lord Vishnu.

ఐదు రూపాలు: ఈ ఒక్క ఆలయ ప్రాంగణంలో విష్ణుమూర్తి యొక్క అయిదు వేర్వేరు రూపాలను (పార్థసారథి, రామచంద్రుడు, నరసింహస్వామి, రంగనాథుడు, గజేంద్ర వరదరాజస్వామి) దర్శించుకోవచ్చు.
తాయార్: ఇక్కడ అమ్మవారిని శ్రీ వేదవల్లి తాయార్ అని పిలుస్తారు.
పుష్కరిణి (తీర్థం) ఈ ఆలయం వెలుపల కైరవిణి పుష్కరిణి (కొనేరు) ఉంది. దీనిలో ఇంద్ర, సోమ, మీన, అగ్ని, విష్ణు తీర్థాలు కలిసి ఉన్నాయని నమ్ముతారు.
ఉత్సవాలు మరియు పండుగలు ప్రతి సంవత్సరం తమిళ మాసం చిత్తిరై (ఏప్రిల్ - మే) లో బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు వైభవంగా జరుగుతాయి.
వైకుంఠ ఏకాదశి (మార్గశిర మాసం) సమయంలో జరిగే పగల్ పత్తు, రా పత్తు ఉత్సవాలకు భక్తులు భారీ సంఖ్యలో వస్తారు.

The Sri Jaganmohini Keshava Gopala Swamy Temple in Ryali is one of the most famous and sacred pilgrimage sites in Andhra Pradesh.
It is located in Ryali village, Atreyapuram Mandal, in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district (formerly part of East Godavari district).
This temple is revered by devotees as one of the most remarkable and unique temples dedicated to Lord Maha Vishnu.
Unique Features of the Temple
1 Single Stone Idol Depicting Both Male and Female Forms
The presiding deity of this temple is considered exceptionally rare. Carved from a single piece of black Saligrama stone, the magnificent idol presents two distinct forms: when viewed from the front, it depicts Lord Maha Vishnu as Keshava Swamy, while the rear reveals the enchanting feminine form of Jaganmohini.
2 The Mysterious Birthmark
One of the most fascinating features of the Jaganmohini form is a naturally appearing birthmark on the rear of the idol, traditionally associated with a woman of the Padmini type. This remarkable detail is regarded as a testament to the extraordinary craftsmanship of the sculpture.
3 The Sacred Ganga Flowing from the Lord’s Feet
A continuous stream of water, believed to represent the sacred River Ganga, flows from near the feet of the presiding deity. This holy water is used for performing the ritual bathing, or Abhishekam, of the Lord.
4 Darshan Through a Mirror
A mirror placed behind the idol allows devotees to view the exquisite beauty of Goddess Jaganmohini in her complete feminine form.
Sthala Purana – The Sacred Legend and History
According to the temple legend, during the churning of the Cosmic Ocean (Ksheera Sagara Mathanam), the divine nectar of immortality, known as Amrita, emerged from the ocean. To prevent the demons from obtaining the nectar, Lord Maha Vishnu assumed the captivating form of Jaganmohini, an enchantingly beautiful woman.
The beauty of Jaganmohini was so extraordinary that even Lord Shiva became captivated by her charm and followed her. During this divine episode, a flower fell from Jaganmohini’s hair. According to the Sthala Purana, the place where the flower fell came to be known as Ryali. In Telugu, the word raali means “to fall,” and this is traditionally believed to be the origin of the village’s name.
As time passed, King Ghanta Chola received divine inspiration through a dream. Following this revelation, he ordered excavations at the site, where the extraordinary idol depicting both masculine and feminine forms was discovered. The temple was subsequently established at this sacred location.
Today, the Sri Jaganmohini Keshava Gopala Swamy Temple stands as a remarkable testament to the divine mysteries of Lord Maha Vishnu and continues to attract devotees seeking His blessings and the divine grace of Goddess Jaganmohini.

| 12 | శ్రీ జగన్మోహిని కేశవ గోపాల స్వామి ఆలయం (ర్యాలి) ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లోని ప్రసిద్ధ పుణ్యక్షేత్రాలలో ఒకటి. ఇది డాక్టర్ బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ కోనసీమ జిల్లా (గతంలో తూర్పు గోదావరి జిల్లా) ఆత్రేయపురం మండలంలోని ర్యాలి గ్రామంలో ఉంది. ఈ క్షేత్రం శ్రీమహావిష్ణువుకు సంబంధించిన అత్యంత అద్భుతమైన మరియు విశిష్టమైన దేవాలయంగా భక్తుల విశ్వాసంలో నిలిచింది.

స్వామి వారి పాదాల నుంచి గంగ: మూలవిరాట్టు పాదాల దగ్గర నుండి ఎల్లప్పుడూ జలధార (గంగ) ప్రవహిస్తూనే ఉంటుంది. ఈ నీటితోనే స్వామివారికి అభిషేకాలు జరుగుతుంటాయి.
అద్దంలో దర్శనం: విగ్రహం వెనుక వైపు ఏర్పాటు చేసిన అద్దంలో చూస్తే జగన్మోహిని దేవి అపురూప సౌందర్యం స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తుంది.
స్థల పురాణం (చరిత్ర)
క్షీరసాగర మథనం సమయంలో అమృతం ఉద్భవించినప్పుడు, రాక్షసులకు అమృతం దక్కకుండా శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు అత్యంత మోహనకరమైన 'జగన్మోహిని' అవతారాన్ని ధరిస్తాడు.
ఆ జగన్మోహిని రూప సౌందర్యానికి సాక్షాత్తు పరమశివుడే మోహావేశానికి లోనై ఆమె వెనుక పరుగులు తీస్తాడు. ఆ సమయంలో జగన్మోహిని జుట్టులో నుంచి ఒక పూవు రాలిపడుతుంది. ఆ పూవు పడిన ప్రాంతమే 'ర్యాలి' (ర్యాలి అంటే తెలుగులో రాలడం అని అర్థం) అని స్థల పురాణం చెబుతోంది.
కాలక్రమేణా ఘంట చోళుడు అనే రాజుకు స్వప్నంలో దైవప్రేరణ కలగడంతో, ఇక్కడ తవ్వకాలు జరిపించగా ఈ అద్భుతమైన స్త్రీ-పుంభావ రూప విగ్రహం లభించిందని, ఆపై ఇక్కడ ఆలయం ప్రతిష్ఠించబడిందని చరిత్ర చెబుతోంది.

During DG power operation, only essential electrical loads will be supported. Heavy-load appliances such as geysers, air conditioners, and other high-power equipment may not function.
As informed by the electricity lineman, a power shutdown is expected after 9:30 AM for approximately one hour to facilitate the repair of a damaged electrical cable near Hanuman Temple, My Home Avatar.
The EB power supply is expected to be restored after the repair work is completed. We will keep you informed of any further updates.

The Sri Krishna Temple at Oothukadu, Tamil Nadu, is a renowned sacred shrine celebrated for its beautiful and unique deities of Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal (Lord Krishna), Sri Rukmini Devi, and Sri Satyabhama Devi.
Presiding Deity (Moolavar): Sri Veda Narayana Perumal, a form of Lord Maha Vishnu.

Lord Krishna's left foot rests on the serpent's hood in a distinctive manner, appearing to hover without actually touching it. He holds the serpent's tail with the thumb of His left hand, while His right leg is raised gracefully in a beautiful dancing posture.
This unique representation of the Lord's divine dance makes the temple especially revered among devotees.

వివాహం కాని వారు, సంతానం లేని దంపతులు ఈ ఆలయాన్ని దర్శించి పూజలు చేస్తారు.
రాహు-కేతు దోషాలు మరియు సర్ప దోష నివారణకు ఇది ప్రత్యేక పరిహార క్షేత్రంగా నమ్ముతారు.
