Dear Avatarians,
✨ Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy, Bright, and Prosperous Diwali! ✨
Diwali is a celebration of light, joy, gratitude, and sharing. As we prepare our homes for the festive season, let us also take a moment to share our blessings with those who support our community throughout the year.
With this spirit of giving My Home Avatar Welfare Association is delighted to announce our Annual Donation Drive.
We invite you to contribute pre-loved items that are in good condition and can bring happiness to someone else. We will be collecting:
👕 Clothing
👟 Footwear
🧸 Toys
📚 Books
🍳 Kitchen Appliances & Utensils
🚲 Bicycles
The donated items will be distributed among our dedicated Facilities Management Services (FMS) staff, including security personnel, housekeeping staff, gardeners, and domestic helpers. Any remaining items will be donated to the Goonj Foundation (NGO), ensuring that every contribution reaches a deserving recipient.
📍 Event Details
Dates: Saturday, 31st October & Sunday, 1st November 2026
Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Near Security Gate No. 1 (beside the Cycle Repair Place)
Every Cloth, Book, Toy, Utensil or Bicycle you donate has the potential to make a meaningful difference in someone's life. A simple act of generosity from each of us can bring warmth, dignity, and joy to many families this festive season.
The success of our previous donation drives has always been a reflection of the kindness and community spirit of Avatar residents. We look forward to your continued support in making this year's drive another memorable success.
🪔 Let us celebrate the festival of lights by lighting up lives. Together, we can make this Diwali brighter for everyone.

| 18 | Famous Vaishnava Divya Desams and the Pancha Krishna Kshetrams of Tamil Nadu
1. Thirukannangudi – Sri Lokanatha Perumal Temple
Thirukannangudi is one of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams, the sacred temples revered by the Alwar saints.
The presiding deity (Moolavar) of this temple is Sri Lokanatha Perumal, also known as Shyamala Meni Perumal.
The temple is located near Keevalur, in the Nagapattinam region of Tamil Nadu.
2. Dolak Krishna and the Pancha Krishna Kshetrams
Five sacred temples in Tamil Nadu associated with Lord Sri Krishna are traditionally known as the Pancha Krishna Kshetrams or Pancha Kannan Kshetrams.
They are:
Thirukannangudi – Sri Lokanatha Perumal Temple
Thirukannapuram – Sri Neelamegha Perumal Temple
Thirukannamangai – Sri Bhaktavatsala Perumal Temple
Kapisthalam – Sri Gajendra Varada Perumal Temple
Thirukovilur – Sri Ulagalantha Perumal Temple
These sacred shrines hold a special place in the Vaishnava tradition and are associated with the divine manifestations and leelas of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna.
3. Sri Lokanayaki and Sri Abhishekavalli Thayar
At the Divya Desam of Thirukannamangai, the Divine Mother is worshipped as Sri Kannamangai Nayaki, also known as Sri Abhishekavalli Thayar.
At Thirukannangudi, the Divine Consort is known as Sri Lokanayaki Thayar.
Both Goddesses are revered as manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi, the Divine Mother who bestows prosperity, grace, and blessings upon devotees.
4. Nagapattinam and the Surrounding Sacred Region
Several of these revered Divya Desams, including Thirukannangudi, Thirukannamangai, and Thirukannapuram, are located in the historic temple regions of Tamil Nadu, particularly around Nagapattinam and Thiruvarur districts.
These sacred destinations are important pilgrimage centres for devotees of Lord Vishnu and offer a profound spiritual connection to the rich heritage of Sri Vaishnavism.
