Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said Lebanon is keen on Syria’s stability, saying it mirrors Syria’s interest in Lebanon’s stability.
He said Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa had assured him Syria would not repeat its past role, adding a “new page” in relations under which Damascus would not side with any Lebanese faction but stand with all Lebanese, and that he welcomed a joint committee to safeguard mutual interests.
