Nestled amidst the Kumaon hills of Uttarakhand, Kainchi Dham is a renowned spiritual destination and a sacred temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. 🛕✨
This sacred place was established by Neem Karoli Baba (Maharajji). It is believed that the idol of Lord Hanuman was consecrated here on June 15, 1964. 🙏
🌿 How did Kainchi Dham get its name?
The name “Kainchi” means scissors. The place is believed to have received this name because the two surrounding hills appear to meet each other in the shape of a pair of scissors.
📍 Location: Kainchi Dham is situated on the Nainital–Almora road, approximately 17 km from Nainital and 9 km from Bhowali.
🌸 Every year on June 15, thousands of devotees from India and around the world gather here for the annual festival and Bhandara.
🙏 Through the spiritual influence of Maharajji, this sacred ashram has gained worldwide recognition, and many prominent personalities have visited the holy site.
