Atheists hate Paganism because it's not easily derided or discredited. (European) Christians hate Paganism because it reminds them from whence they truly descend. Conservatives hate Paganism because their 'moral' framework is Abrahamic. Jews hate Paganism because it stands outside of their narrative and disproves their special status. Marxists hate Paganism because it upholds permanent, natural, non-fungible identity and distinction. All of them seem to be in the process of uniting against Paganism, whether the individuals doing so are aware of it or not. On one hand Arch-Conservative Tucker Carlson is platforming people who are calling anything morally Bankrupt 'Pagan', while on the other, State-sponsored Marxist group 'Hope Not Hate' have this year focussed quite heavily on Heathens such as myself. Then there's one of Judaism's biggest mouthpieces bell-ends Ben Shapiro publishing videos titled things like 'Rise of the Pagans'. And by chance I just read that my friend Fiona Ædgar has had an old video on YouTube struck down and believes it's because she's begun to focus more on Paganism. This is how we know that Paganism is the answer to crooked modernity; All of its gatekeepers fear the Pagan revival.

My concerns were instantly put to rest after I began this course. Starting Heathenry by STJ (Thomas Rowsell) is amazing. I don’t say this because I talk to him or because I am a fan of his videos, but because with this program he has built something that Germanic Heathens have been needing for a long time. The accumulation of his studies in Germanic faith and Indo-European understandings come to an apex with the pinnacle of a concise Heathen how-to guide. He has packaged within this guide what many of us have been writing about for years, but in a way that you can digest, put it into practice, and come back many times for reminders. This isn't just a guide to belief and understanding, though it has plenty of that with great sources, but also a fully-fledged set of theological baselines and practices that should be used by any Germanic organization as a standard and starting point. While I knew much of what was being presented, there was more than plenty for even seasoned Heathens and Indo-European faith-based practitioners to learn from. I found confirmation of understandings that I had been writing about and putting into practice for years, but now a way to standardize them with the rest of heathenry and proper sources that back up my research. Uppsala University has positions opening for postdocs and visiting researchers at the Centre of Excellence for The World in the Viking Age (WIVA). The mission statement is full of contradictions. First they say they have a "spotlight on diversity" and they want to move past "eurocentric notions" and explore the "Afro-Eurasian world of the Norse" but they also say they wish "to recover a Viking Age that does not care what we think of it, a pluralistic past as it was" - fish don't know they are wet!
