| 2 | New at the Samidoun website: 5 years on the Freedom Tunnel: Mahmoud al-Ardaās call to the people of the world https://ift.tt/40P8gXc | 63 |
| 3 | On the fifth anniversary of the Freedom Tunnel, a call to the world from Mahmoud al-Arda, leader of the Gilboa 6 and liberated prisoner in Toufan al-Ahrar. He was liberated alongside Mohammed al-Arda, Ayham Kamamji and Zakaria Zubeidi. On this day, we renew our call for the liberation of Yaqoub Qadri, Munadil Nafa'at and all Palestinian, Lebanese and Arab prisoners in zionist jails ā and all prisoners for Palestine in imperialist & collaborationist jails.
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Today marks a cherished anniversary for us. On this exact day, we managed to wrest our freedom with our own hands from the heavily fortified Gilboa prison.
This heroic epic is a human saga and belongs to the free people of the world, from Ireland to South Africa. It is a cultural heritage for everyone who has walked the path of freedom in prisons.
On this day, I extend my greetings to all the free people of the world who stand in solidarity with their just cause in Palestine. For it is the cause of all humanity, and of those who carry the burdens of the prisoners enduring hardships in prisons.
I also send my greetings to you, and I urge you to persevere on this path until the Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners attain their freedom, and the Palestinian people achieve their right to self-determination.
Today, the prisoners are living under harsh conditions that surpass the medieval era. The free people of the world are called upon to stand together against the brutal Zionist tyranny until its arrogance is halted regarding the prisoners, and they gain their freedom.
Greetings to you once again. I salute you at every moment and every day. Freedom to the prisoners of freedom.
Peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of God. | 126 |
| 4 | Yesterday, in Barcelona, we took to the streets once again, this time alongside the Barcelona Anti-Repression Platform, to demand the immediate release of Fergie Chambers and oppose his extradition to the United States. We also stand in solidarity with all Palestinian and pro-Palestinian prisoners.
Fergie Chambers is a communist activist and philanthropist, and an advocate of internationalist solidarity. On July 10, 2026, Chambers was arrested in Ibiza by the Spanish National Police while he was with his family. The police were acting under an extradition order issued by the Justice Department of the Trump administration.
We demand that the Spanish government, which proclaims itself āpro-Palestinian,ā completely and fully sever relations with the criminal Zionist state and withdraw from the terrorist organization NATO.

Samidoun and the Barcelona Antirepression Platform organized the demonstration in solidarity with Fergie Chambers, just days before a decision is expected on whether he will be extradited to the United States. His case will set a precedent.

| 12 | The prisoner Asim Jamal Abu al-Haija, from Jenin, has been released after 40 months of imprisonment in Zionist prisons.
He is the son of the prisoner and leader Jamal Abu Haija, who has been detained since 2002 and is serving nine life sentences. He is the brother of the freed prisoner Abdel-Salam Abu al-Haija, released from Zionist prisons on august 28th 2026 after more than four years of detention, the brother of martyr Hamza Abu al-Haija, the brother of released prisoner Banan Abu al-Haija who was released from Zionist prisons on August 3rd 2026 after nearly a year and a half in detention and the brother of Imad who is being held by the Palestinian Authority. | 111 |
| 13 | š Ghufran Zamel, the fiancĆ©e of imprisoned Palestinian leader Hassan Salameh, shared excerpts from his last letter, where he is held in isolation in the Janot colonial prison:
"My condition is closer to death than to life."
Hassan summarizes his life in solitary confinement with this phrase.
In his last letter, he wrote:
"On August 13th, I was transferred by ambulance to Ramla Hospital, and I thought it was related to following up on my medical file. When I got off the ambulance, I was subjected to severe and violent beating, and then I was taken back to Ramla detention center. I am still suffering from the effects of it today.
No medical examination or procedure was performed on me there. When I was returned to isolation in Janot, I requested to be examined due to what I had experienced, but they refused. I also requested to see a doctor, but one came from behind the doors and only gave me pain medication."
Born in 1971 in Khan Younis, Gaza, he was deeply involved in the Palestinian liberation struggle from the time of the first great Intifada of 1987. A leader in the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades, he became known for the āHoly Revengeā resistance operations, in retaliation for the assassination of the al-Qassam engineer, Yahya Ayyash, in 1996.
He was arrested by the occupation in al-Khalil in May 1996 and sentenced to 46 life sentences by an occupation military court plus 33 years. The occupation has repeatedly refused to release him in prisoner exchanges. He previously spent 13 years in solitary confinement, only returned to his brothers and comrades among the Palestinian prisoners after the Karameh hunger strike of 2012.
Hassan Salameh married the released prisoner Ghufran Zamel in 2010, and the occupation continues to prevent her from visiting him since their marriage; she has only been able to visit him twice during his imprisonment. During his time in occupation prisons, he has written several books, including a memoir on solitary confinement, "5000 Days in the World of Barzakh," as well as writings about the Palestinian resistance. | 122 |

Security forces arrest Ghassan Najjar after raiding his home last night.

| 18 | The Free Lebanese Prisoners Campaign salutes the five liberated prisoners -- Malik Ghazi, Ali Shour, Hussein Ayash, Asaad al-Hasika and Wissam al-Samadi -- and wishes them the warmest, speediest return to their families, homes and lands, and we demand the immediate release of Hatem Abdel-'Al, Qassem Abdel-'Al and Ghazal Abdel-'Al. The liberation of prisoners is not a favor granted by the United States or the Zionist regime, it is a right that belongs to every free person held by the occupier, and the occupation's aggressive intentions are clear in its abduction of three more Lebanese just yesterday.
We call for the strongest, most organized action on all levels -- particularly the popular, official and legal levels -- to free the Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian prisoners from the occupiers' dungeons, and to obtain full documentation, visitation and access to all imprisoned Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians until their liberation is achieved.
**
Between 3-4 September 2026, five people illegally abducted from Lebanon by the Zionist occupation regime during their ongoing invasion and aggression against Lebanon were released by the occupation. At the same time, three more people were newly abducted by the Zionist occupation.
None of the five men released appear on the official list of 36 prisoners, indicating once again that the number of Lebanese held captive is much higher than known, because the Zionist occupation refuses to acknowledge the names of the people abducted from Lebanon imprisoned in its jails.
On Friday, 3 Sept, Malik Kamal Ghazi was released to the International Committee of the Red Cross. His family had been tormented for over a year with no knowledge of the state of their missing son.
The release of Malik Ghazi came just short hours after the abduction of Hatem Abdel-'Al, Qassem Abdel-'Al and Ghazal Abdel-'Al. Hatem Abdel-'Al, 70, is the father of a martyr and a member of the Halta municipal council.
Four more men were released on Friday morning, 4 September: Ali Shour, Hussein Ayash, Asaad al-Hasika and Wissam al-Samadi. The four had been reported missing in recent months, and none were documented as prisoners of the occupation. | 122 |
| 19 | š“ The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that its fighters had thwarted an attempted abduction carried out by a force of collaborator militias with support from Israeli unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. The incident took place in the al-Qarara area, north of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
In a military statement, the brigades said that at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, the collaborator force advanced toward al-Jameiza Street in an attempt to abduct one of its fighters.
That fighters in the vicinity detected the infiltration and engaged the advancing force at close range, using hand grenades and medium weapons. Several members of the force were killed or wounded.
The Al-Quds Brigades added that Israeli unmanned aircraft intervened to support the collaborator force and facilitate its withdrawal from the area. Before withdrawing, members of the force killed the abducted fighter, Fadi Ali al-Abadleh, by shooting him directly and leaving him at the scene, before evacuating their own dead and wounded.
The Al-Quds Brigades mourned Fadi Ali Saeed al-Abadleh, whom it identified as a member of the al-Qarara Battalion of the Khan Younis Brigade, and affirmed that it would continue confronting all attempts to target and pursue its fighters. | 133 |
| 20 | Yesterday, the body of the young martyr, Jadallah Jihad Jumah Jadallah, 15 years old, from the Far'a refugee camp south of Tubas, killed by zionist soldiers, was returned after being held by the occupation forces for approximately nine months.
