📝 Ghufran Zamel, the fiancée of imprisoned Palestinian leader Hassan Salameh, shared excerpts from his last letter, where he is held in isolation in the Janot colonial prison: "My condition is closer to death than to life." Hassan summarizes his life in solitary confinement with this phrase. In his last letter, he wrote: "On August 13th, I was transferred by ambulance to Ramla Hospital, and I thought it was related to following up on my medical file. When I got off the ambulance, I was subjected to severe and violent beating, and then I was taken back to Ramla detention center. I am still suffering from the effects of it today. No medical examination or procedure was performed on me there. When I was returned to isolation in Janot, I requested to be examined due to what I had experienced, but they refused. I also requested to see a doctor, but one came from behind the doors and only gave me pain medication." Born in 1971 in Khan Younis, Gaza, he was deeply involved in the Palestinian liberation struggle from the time of the first great Intifada of 1987. A leader in the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades, he became known for the “Holy Revenge” resistance operations, in retaliation for the assassination of the al-Qassam engineer, Yahya Ayyash, in 1996. He was arrested by the occupation in al-Khalil in May 1996 and sentenced to 46 life sentences by an occupation military court plus 33 years. The occupation has repeatedly refused to release him in prisoner exchanges. He previously spent 13 years in solitary confinement, only returned to his brothers and comrades among the Palestinian prisoners after the Karameh hunger strike of 2012. Hassan Salameh married the released prisoner Ghufran Zamel in 2010, and the occupation continues to prevent her from visiting him since their marriage; she has only been able to visit him twice during his imprisonment. During his time in occupation prisons, he has written several books, including a memoir on solitary confinement, "5000 Days in the World of Barzakh," as well as writings about the Palestinian resistance.

The Free Lebanese Prisoners Campaign salutes the five liberated prisoners -- Malik Ghazi, Ali Shour, Hussein Ayash, Asaad al-Hasika and Wissam al-Samadi -- and wishes them the warmest, speediest return to their families, homes and lands, and we demand the immediate release of Hatem Abdel-'Al, Qassem Abdel-'Al and Ghazal Abdel-'Al. The liberation of prisoners is not a favor granted by the United States or the Zionist regime, it is a right that belongs to every free person held by the occupier, and the occupation's aggressive intentions are clear in its abduction of three more Lebanese just yesterday. We call for the strongest, most organized action on all levels -- particularly the popular, official and legal levels -- to free the Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian prisoners from the occupiers' dungeons, and to obtain full documentation, visitation and access to all imprisoned Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians until their liberation is achieved. ** Between 3-4 September 2026, five people illegally abducted from Lebanon by the Zionist occupation regime during their ongoing invasion and aggression against Lebanon were released by the occupation. At the same time, three more people were newly abducted by the Zionist occupation. None of the five men released appear on the official list of 36 prisoners, indicating once again that the number of Lebanese held captive is much higher than known, because the Zionist occupation refuses to acknowledge the names of the people abducted from Lebanon imprisoned in its jails. On Friday, 3 Sept, Malik Kamal Ghazi was released to the International Committee of the Red Cross. His family had been tormented for over a year with no knowledge of the state of their missing son. The release of Malik Ghazi came just short hours after the abduction of Hatem Abdel-'Al, Qassem Abdel-'Al and Ghazal Abdel-'Al. Hatem Abdel-'Al, 70, is the father of a martyr and a member of the Halta municipal council. Four more men were released on Friday morning, 4 September: Ali Shour, Hussein Ayash, Asaad al-Hasika and Wissam al-Samadi. The four had been reported missing in recent months, and none were documented as prisoners of the occupation.

🔴 The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that its fighters had thwarted an attempted abduction carried out by a force of collaborator militias with support from Israeli unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. The incident took place in the al-Qarara area, north of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. In a military statement, the brigades said that at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, the collaborator force advanced toward al-Jameiza Street in an attempt to abduct one of its fighters. That fighters in the vicinity detected the infiltration and engaged the advancing force at close range, using hand grenades and medium weapons. Several members of the force were killed or wounded. The Al-Quds Brigades added that Israeli unmanned aircraft intervened to support the collaborator force and facilitate its withdrawal from the area. Before withdrawing, members of the force killed the abducted fighter, Fadi Ali al-Abadleh, by shooting him directly and leaving him at the scene, before evacuating their own dead and wounded. The Al-Quds Brigades mourned Fadi Ali Saeed al-Abadleh, whom it identified as a member of the al-Qarara Battalion of the Khan Younis Brigade, and affirmed that it would continue confronting all attempts to target and pursue its fighters.

🇵🇸 Wael Nawar has been on hunger strike for 20 days! Freedom for all pro-Palestinian activists imprisoned in Tunisian prisons! On this occasion, we are sharing a letter from his father, published on August 28, 2026, on the 13th day of Wael Nawar’s hunger strike. “At dawn, throughout the journey from Monastir to Tunis to visit Wael, I gathered my thoughts, weighed each of my words, and kept reminding myself that I had to remain strong in front of my son, who was beginning his ninth day on hunger strike... I would not break down in front of him. I had to be his support, to give him strength and tell him about all the solidarity that had grown around him: that of his loved ones, his friends, his comrades and activists, but also that of all those people who had never met him and who, nevertheless, were standing by his side... Mornaguia Prison, 10 a.m. A guard calls Wael Nawar’s name. Along with his mother, his daughter Sumud and his son Yassar, we hurry to meet him. A double pane of glass separates us, and we can only speak to him by telephone. As always, Sumud is the first to speak to her father, followed by Yassar. As for me, I carefully observe Wael’s face, looking for the slightest sign of weakness or suffering. But all I see is his broad smile lighting up his face, and his hands, which without trembling form a heart or send us the most tender kisses. His mother could not hold back her tears when she asked him how he was doing. Even though I could not hear his answers, the expressions on his face and the smile that never left him were enough to reassure her. — Hello, Dad. — Hello, hero. Ever since our very first visit, I had made a habit of beginning each of my conversations with Wael with these words: “Hello, hero.” When I asked him how he was doing, he assured me that he was well and receiving the necessary medical care. Very quickly, he in turn began asking about Ghassan and Nabil, before taking an interest in what was happening in the country. Everything I had imagined and prepared before this visit to lift his spirits then collapsed. After saying goodbye to him, I realized that, in the end, he was the one who had given us strength. Today, I truly understood the full meaning of this sentence: “A fighter only dies when he surrender.”◽️

Dangerous escalation against Gaza prisoners in Ganot prison, including raids, assaults with rubber bullets, collective punishments, and threats of execution: - Security forces raided cell "14" and two other cells in section "4" of Ganot prison on August 30th, assaulting Gaza prisoners. - Several Gaza prisoners were injured by rubber bullets during the assault on section "4" in Ganot prison. - Gaza prisoners in Janot prison are repeatedly subjected to beatings, repression, insults, and retaliatory abuse. - The administration of Ganot prison punishes the prisoners collectively by depriving them of showers, prayers, and food whenever any noise comes from the rooms. - The guards threaten Gaza prisoners with execution and hanging, repeatedly telling them that they "will not see the light."
