Iāve been wanted by the FBI and Interpol for nearly 20 years, and the U.S. has tried to extradite me three times. Two fights were in Europe, one was elsewhere, and I won all three.
At some point, youād think the FBI would start checking the scoreboard.

I watched him reboot.
Lance went from embassy tough guy to divorced bar buddy in about three seconds. One minute he was grilling me inside a Bulgarian police station. The next he was trying to bond over ex-wives like we were two sad dudes crying into beers.
But the folder told a different story. A few fresh white pages sat on top. Underneath them was more than an inch of old yellowed papers, like somebody at the Embassy had built a prop folder to scare me, or theyād had a file ready and waiting for my arrival since 1985.
The actual Police Chief had been pushed out of his own office. My U.S. passport was sitting in Lanceās hands. I had an Interpol Red Notice over my head. And Lance, bless his little tactical heart, thought this was subtle.
Then he leaned forward, and the shark stopped pretending he wasnāt hungry.

| 4 |  I need help, and Iām asking people to step in now.
For anyone who doesnāt know the full background, Iāve been under a sealed U.S. federal criminal case for nearly twenty years. I was issued an Interpol Red Notice, arrested abroad, fought extradition, and I still have never had the underlying case heard by a judge.
We have a clear path to dismissal on venue. The problem is getting it pushed forward past the prosecutor who keeps blocking it and in front of a judge who can rule on it.
That means we need the right lawyer.
We now have a focused list of lawyers and organizations that are much more likely to handle a federal criminal case like mine, especially on a pro bono basis. What I need now is people helping contact them, making introductions, forwarding the case summary, and getting this in front of someone willing to take action.
Thereās also a situation in my life deteriorating fast, and I need movement on this now.

| 6 |  How do you measure a successful day? I used to go by what time I had my first beer, but that system falls apart when I wake up anywhere from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
So I need a better metric. W is wake-up time. W+4 means I made it four hours. W+2 means the day had some problems.

A little wine, a podcast in the dark, buried under the covers, slowly fading out. For a little while, the weight of everything gets quieter. Nothing needs me. Nothing hurts quite as much.

| 9 |  This photo was taken on one of the biggest days of my life. I had just returned to Russia after 15 years trapped in the Caribbean without the medical care I needed, followed by weeks in a Cuban hospital. Some days I could barely walk or talk, and I was heavily medicated because it was the only way I could make the trip.
For years, my life had been about surviving from one day to the next. Returning to Russia was the first moment I felt I might have a future again. Medical care was finally within reach, and for the first time in 15 years, I was moving toward something instead of simply trying to survive.

| 13 |  A U.S. Embassy officer walked into a Bulgarian police station with my passport and a thick file already waiting. That should bother you. It still bothers me. Why did he have my passport? Why was the file already prepared? Why did the Police Chief leave his own office? And why did the Embassy show up after I specifically told the police not to call them?
He didnāt ask where my son was. He didnāt ask what happened. He didnāt ask if I understood why I was there. He waited until the room was empty, then opened with prison. Not help. Not questions. Prison. That was the moment I understood the Embassy wasnāt there to protect me. They were there to break me.

| 14 |  This is what ānonurgent medical careā looks like according to the FBI.
This photo was taken after neurosurgery earlier this year. Iāve had two major surgeries in the past year alone, plus several other medical interventions since returning to Russia. A federal prosecutor searched online, decided my condition wasnāt serious, and used his own Google diagnosis to help deny me the care I desperately needed.
Russia and Cuba saved my life while my own government tried to kill me by preventing me from receiving medical care. Iām alive because other countries stepped in when my own refused.
But I still need help. I need this case resolved, and I need justice for what the FBI has done to my health, my freedom, and my life. | 85 |
| 15 | Iāve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on lawyers. We already raised the venue issue, but the prosecutor has resisted even letting the court consider it.
This case should be dismissed outright. It never shouldāve reached an indictment. The governmentās own records contradict the accusation, including where I was and whether the alleged conduct happened in Pennsylvania at all.
I need one experienced federal criminal defense lawyer willing to read the evidence and fight to get this case before a court.

| 16 | I still have food and beer. I have bowling too, although I only manage to find people to go once a week. At least thatās something. Iāve lost interest in nearly every other hobby except bike riding, and winter is about to take that away. I ride so much that I wear myself out and have to spend days recovering. Iāve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, including $100,000 on the last lawyer. Every filing and DOJ response meant another bill until there was nothing left.
Iāve offered to surrender for a trial within 70 days. The DOJ wants me in jail first but wonāt agree not to delay the trial. I might lose years of my life before ever being convicted.
Iām tired. Iām broke. My family is barely surviving, and I need one qualified lawyer willing to look before the government takes the rest of my life.
Please read this. More importantly, please help me get it in front of the right lawyer.
