The spokesperson elaborated on the slogan of the funeral ceremonies for the Mujahid Martyr Imam, stating: “The farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies are held under the title ‘The Leader of the Truth Seekers of Our Time’ and with the slogan ‘We Must Rise.’ The symbol of the ceremonies — a clenched fist — is inspired by the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Mujtaba Hosseini Khamenei, who stated that when he visited the pure body of the mujahid Martyr Imam, he saw that his left hand was tightly clenched.”
Iman Attarzadeh added: “In the Arabic context, the slogan of the ceremony will be ‘Qumu Lillah’ (Rise for God) — which is the same extension of ‘Qiyam Lillah’ (Rising for God) that was articulated by our beloved Leader (may his shadow endure) on June 4 (the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s demise) of this year, as the foundation of the school of the Great Khomeini and our dear Khamenei.”
The spokesperson noted that the ceremony is not limited to the people of Iran, emphasizing: “From the countries of the Resistance Front to the farthest corners of the world, free people and freedom-seekers, inspired by that same school, chant the divine call of ‘Qumu Lillah.’”
The spokesperson stated that ceremonies for paying tribute by official representatives of various countries, as well as political figures, elites, religious and scholarly personalities, and movement and resistance figures from around the world, will also be held, whose details will be announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The spokesperson announced: “The funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader will begin on Saturday, July 4, in Tehran. After two days of farewell ceremonies and one day of funeral procession in Tehran, the pure body of the mujahid Martyr Imam will be carried in a funeral procession in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday, July 7, and will then be buried on Thursday, July 9 — coinciding with the eve of the martyrdom of his ancestor, Imam Sajjad (pbuh) — following a funeral procession in Mashhad, at the heavenly shrine of Imam Reza (pbuh). Funeral prayers will be offered over his body in all of these cities.”
Iman Attarzadeh added: “In response to repeated requests from the people of Iraq, including tribes, elites, scholars, and political, cultural, and religious figures, a funeral ceremony for the pure body of the mujahid Martyr Imam will be held on Wednesday, July 8, corresponding to the 23rd of Muharram, in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala. Detailed information regarding the program will be announced by the Iraqi government.”
During these ceremonies, the pure bodies of the martyrs Dr. Misbah al-Huda Baqeri (son‑in‑law), Sayyida Bushra Hosseini Khamenei (daughter), Zahra Haddad Adel (wife of the Leader of the Revolution, Imam Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei), and Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani (granddaughter) will be carried alongside the body of the mujahid Martyr Imam.
Emphasizing the popular nature of the ceremony, the spokesperson stated: “Based on estimates from various institutions, the level of public interest in participating in this event is unparalleled in the past 47 years. The divinely risen people are the true owners of this ceremony, and they have announced their readiness through various initiatives, such as ‘Every Home a Mawkib’ and making Hussainiyahs and mosques available to host the people during the funeral ceremonies in the three cities of Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad.”
Attarzadeh added that various national institutions, from the first days following the martyrdom of the mujahid Martyr Imam, have mobilized all available capacities and resources to organize the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies and to host the people from within and outside the country.
