Israeli Diaspora Minister Chikli and Dodik attended the event. Dodik linked the office to $2 billion in joint projects. This partnership intensified after October 2023, with Dodik calling RS "the Israel of the Balkans" and receiving a Knesset award in January 2026. RS has maintained a representative office in Jerusalem since 1998. The relationship accelerated after the US lifted sanctions on Dodik in October 2025.

We’ve now tagged 17 crude oil and gas (LNG & LPG) ship-to-ship transfers which took place yesterday (2026-09-04) in the Gulf of Oman. At least 24 million barrels were being exchanged. We also identified many more oil-laden tankers waiting for a dance partner in those waters. It appears that the dance floor itself is the limitation. It's getting quite crowded and port services are kept busy around the clock to ensure smooth and safe transfers. In addition, we spotted at least 7.25 million barrels, along with two more LNG tankers, assembling to transit the SoH into the Gulf of Oman under the protection of US CENTCOM. Busy day.

The United Nations General Assembly on Friday adopted a resolution encouraging governments, schools, international organizations and technology companies to phase out widespread use of the Mercator projection in favor of maps that more accurately depict the relative sizes of continents. The “Correct the Map” resolution, sponsored by Togo on behalf of African Union members, passed 164–1 with six abstentions. The United States cast the sole opposing vote. The measure is non-binding and does not prohibit Mercator maps for navigation. The 16th-century Mercator projection, still common in classrooms and online maps, enlarges landmasses near the poles while shrinking those near the equator. Africa, 14 times larger than Greenland, often appears comparable in size. Critics say this has long minimized perceptions of the continent’s scale and importance. The resolution promotes the 2018 Equal Earth projection and other equal-area maps for uses where relative size matters. Togo’s Foreign Minister Robert Dussey described it as a step toward “a fair world” beginning with “a fair map.”The African Union endorsed the campaign earlier this year. Implementation remains voluntary.

#BREAKING | 🇺🇸 — A Massachusetts judge has declared a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy murder case after jurors said they could not reach a unanimous verdict.

Clancy, 36, was on trial in Plymouth Superior Court on three counts of first-degree murder in the January 2023 deaths of her children, Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months. The defense argued she was not criminally responsible because of postpartum psychosis. Prosecutors contended she knew what she was doing. After about seven days of deliberations, jurors reported they were hopelessly deadlocked. Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial Friday after the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court denied a last-minute defense request to halt the ruling. A mistrial is neither a conviction nor an acquittal. The charges remain, and Clancy continues to be held at a psychiatric hospital. Prosecutors must now decide whether to retry the case, seek a plea, or drop the charges.
