Forever A Stranger in this Prison We Call Paradise To the eyes of others this path was a dirt road and difficult journey, A path engulfed with thorns and thugs awaiting for a passerby, But at the end of this path laid a garden, That no one could see except the righteous, Its incense of musk is what drove them to continue walking. The others took a smoothly paved road, With beauty surrounding them at every moment, Accompanied by friends and family, Yet their hearts wanted nothing except evil for each other, And their eyes were blind from the abyss of fire ahead. You silently turned around and joined the other, Seeing nothing but what your heart truly desired, And alone, I traveled down this path. Forever a stranger amidst mankind, Forever a stranger in this prison we call paradise. — Rectifying Souls

"The reason that friendships based on Islam and love for the sake of Allah are more solid and everlasting than friendships based on personal interests is because, as humans, our personal interests are constantly changing as time goes on, and we then tend to lose touch with those whom we developed connections with due to those old interests. But when it comes to friendship for the sake of Allah, where Islam is your biggest interest in such a friendship, then Islam is always something that remains important and central to our lives (insha'Allah), so a friendship based on that is never outgrown nor does it get old." — Akh Abu Fateh (may Allah protect him)

Repost from Shield of Taqwā
In the night of Laylatul Qadr, one of its signs is that the night is filled with peace and tranquility as the Āyāh mentions; wherein no corruption will be caused. Allāh (تعالى) said in the Qur’ān: سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ “Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” [97:5] Here are a few explanations on this Āyāh: Mujāhid (رحمه الله) said: “The night of Qadr is a night of peace. No illness will occur in it nor will the Shaytān be sent out in it (i.e., they will be chained).” He also said: “The Shaytān will not be able to work his evil in that night, nor will he be able to work any harm.” Ibn ‘Abbās (رضي الله عنه) said: “In that night, the big jinn are chained, as well as the evil of jinns. The doors of heaven are opened entirely and Allāh will accept repentance for every person who is repentant. That is the meaning behind ‘Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.’” ‘Ubayy Ibn K’ab (رضي الله عنه) also mentioned: “The Shaytān will not be able to inflict a single bit of greed, nor illness, nor strike any form of corruption in it. Nor will the magician be able to perform any magic therein.”

#Duā | Verdict for sentencing will start in one hour by Allāh’s permission for Abū Bakr at-Tarābulsī. May Allāh make a way out for him from the oppression and protect him from their plans. Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله) said in “Majmū’ Rasā’il Ibn Rajab” (3/155): “Waiting for relief [from hardship] is worship, for verily the trials don’t last forever.”

1000 Deeds in One Minute! DO IT NOW 1000 deeds in 1 minute Say “Subhanallah” 100 times U will get 1000 deeds written, & 1000 sins will be wiped away.(Muslim) #Ramadan — Shaykh Ahmad Jibril

There is No Envy Except in Two The Prophet (ﷺ) informs us that the one who carries the Qur’ān deserves to be envied by the people – a praiseworthy jealousy – because he has taken up a great rank in this life and the Next. [Guidelines for Memorizing the Holy Qur'aan]

I've asked several people for advice and what they personally do or implement in Ramadhaan in terms of 'Ibaadah and much more and these are some of the responses I got: Customize a plan & Set realistic goals For many of us who cannot manage our time properly or we get easily distracted, it is very extremely crucial that we set up a realistic daily to do list/plan that we'll actually follow in sha Allaah. Al'hamdulillaah, I'm sure you'll find many great Ramadhan checklists on Google which one can utilize or get ideas from. I feel it's best to customize your own since everyone is at a different level. The most important thing is to have a daily plan ready before Ramadhaan begins, otherwise after the first couple of days you will lose focus. Some ideas and tips -Repent - Fix your realtionship with Allaah -Quran - Fix your relationship with the Quran -Ikhlaas & Renew Intentions Constantly -Increase in all 'Ibadaat -Don't miss a single night of Qiyaam - Even if it's only two rak'ahs! -Let go of your grudges and forgive -Reconciliation - Fix your relationship with all those you have issues with -If you owe anyone their rights, Ramadhan is an excellent time to rectify all of that! (Maybe you took something from someone that didn't belong to you like 10 years ago, maybe you backbitten/slandered someone, maybe you hurt someone, etc) -Limit social media (if you don't do anything beneficial) -Listen to lectures - especially those that will motivate you to better yourself and your worship (Someone recommended our beloved shaykh @@@ - may Allaah accept him and his family) -Write a letter to or support at least one prisoner this Ramadhan in sha Allaah. If you're already in touch with a prisoner, find another one. If the prisoners themselves don't need help, then help their families. Raise awareness for them. Fundraise for them. The least we should be doing is writing letters if we cannot help financially! -Be extra kind to your families and parents -I'tikaf -Prepare some gifts for your loved ones for 'Eid Dua -Make Dua'a for the Mujahideen everywhere -Make Dua'a for the righteous scholars who speak the truth and are harmed for it -Make Dua'a for all our imprisoned brothers and sisters -Make Dua'a for our sisters in the camps -Make Dua'a for your parents, siblings, relatives, and families -Make Dua'a for all the brothers and sisters who you promised you would make Dua'a for but keep forgetting to do it -Make Dua'a against all those parties who oppose Allaah, His Messengers, His religion, His awliyah! -Beseech Allaah for guidance and steadfastness -Ask Allaah for Shahadah -Ask Allaah to protect you from being playthings of shaytaan. -Beg Allaah to allow you to parttake in the best of deeds one can parttake in during our times! -Beg Allaah to not replace you and to use you for His sake! Other Miscellaneous Things Regarding Qiyaam - For those who have a hard time waking up for Qiyaam, try these things below and you will in sha Allaah be able to wake up: -Ask Allaah to help you with this -Stop sinning or minimize sinning as much as possible -Sleep early -Take a short nap at noon -Don't over eat -If you have a thick fat blanket as your cover at night, then switch it to a thinner one. This actually helps one in waking up for Qiyaam much more than you'd think as you're basically not sleeping too comfortably so its much easier to wake up, unlike when you're overwhelmed under thick weighted blankets. -For those who have trouble going to sleep then workout or go for a walk while listening to Quran or a lecture. After you return in sha Allaah you will fall asleep very quick. Regarding Charity -Try to be a part of those opportunities that will allow you to get the most Ajr in sha Allaah. -Unfortunately we still have lots of people (especially in the West) that are still haphazardly giving their zakah to masjids! Please brothers and sisters, if you see people doing this, then advise them and show them daleel that this is not permissible!

Memorization of the Qur’ān is Better Than the World and All That is In It If the people of this world take delight in their world and the people of status take delight in their status and the people of wealth take delight in their wealth, then the bearer of Qur’ān is more worthy of taking delight in the speech of Allāh which is not moved by the dunya and all that is in it of temporary enjoyment. Hifdh al-Qur’ān is One of the Causes of Protection from the Hellfire The Servant of Allāh hastens with all that they have in order to be saved from the punishment of Hellfire. Allāh has indeed written for the one who has memorized the Qur’ān – seeking thereby the Delight of Allāh – that the Fire will never touch them. [Guidelines for Memorizing the Holy Qur'aan]
