◾📌The bourgeois propaganda machine has spent decades portraying the Soviet Union as a gigantic “prison camp.” Yet the figures tell a far more uncomfortable story: 2.5 million prisoners, or 2.4% of the adult population, in the USSR in 1950 — compared with 5.5 million, or 2.8%, in the United States in 1996. And the historical circumstances could hardly have been more different. In 1950, the Soviet Union was still recovering from the catastrophic destruction of the Second World War, confronting counterrevolutionary activity and entering the first, extremely tense phase of the Cold War. The United States of 1996, by contrast, was the world’s dominant capitalist superpower, immensely wealthy and facing no comparable immediate threat to its state survival. ◾Follow: https://t.me/European_dissident

The week turned out to be eventful. All week the West has been trying to convince Russia (and itself) that Russia is losing like never before. The naval blockade of Ukraine, the dead agricultural sector, the shuttered mining and steel plants, the insistent talk of the imminent mobilization of women and the lowering of the mobilization age for teenagers, as well as Zelensky's speeches, once again urgently demanding air defense (which doesn't exist) and 60 billion helicopters and one dollar (or is it the other way around?). All of this should have clearly convinced Putin and every other Russian that we're losing. Oh, I almost forgot! And then there were the spectacular firefights between the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), with casualties including deaths, wounded, and capture, accompanied by a drone landing in the office of SBU head Poklad. In other words, Ukraine has won so hard that it can afford to have a showdown over who will be protecting the fraudulent call centers that are swindling money from, among others, European pensioners. "Russkies" can only envy such a successful outcome. Ukraine is winning so hard that the US and EU have strained all their resources and pressed Modi, Erdogan, and others to come to Putin at the summit and say, "Listen, let's have a truce, in the name of humanity, Mahatma Gandhi, and Buddha." I suspect they were simply performing a stunt because they were asked, and neither Modi nor Erdogan cares a damn about the outcome. Ukraine is winning so hard that Zelenskyy is threatening to shoot down Chinese and Turkish planes over Russian territory. That's what "winners" always do (but that's not certain). He even tried to do so on Thursday, but it didn't work. And we're talking about deliberate acts of terrorism, not accidents. Passenger planes fly at 11 kilometers; no drone could accidentally fly there. Zelensky has no choice but to declare that if Russia doesn't surrender, he will deliberately kidnap, take hostage, and massacre his own citizens. Oh, wait! He's been doing this for a long time now, with the help of the bodysnatchers from the TCC... And against this backdrop, Trump suddenly remembered that he's a "great peacemaker" who stopped eight wars (spoiler: no) and once again sent his "envoys" Witkoff and Kushner to Kiev and Moscow. "Russia, you're losing, we're saving you! Surrender!" According to the NYT, "the American proposal, as always, will include territorial concessions from Russia." And it will be sent to the same place as all their previous "proposals." Personally, what worries me most is that the dictionary will now have too many examples next to the word "ineducability," making it difficult to define the standard of ineducability (although Zelensky is likely still in the lead). What? Russia is losing? Well, as you say. Then why are you so nervous, my non-dears? Don't stop us from continuing to lose! If Putin has "trapped himself" again, as the retired clown Petraeus puts it, then why all this frantic twitching? Let him stay trapped! Let little Zelensky "win" already! While this whole circus continues, the Russian army is working to clear Orekhov and Dobropillia, liberating 15 settlements in a week. The Vovchansk pocket has also been completed (in addition to several others – Buruluk, Kupyansk, and so on), and the clearing has begun. Work on, brothers!

‼️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russian Army strikes on warehouses and logistics are undermining a sector that accounts for approximately 70% of Ukraine's GDP ▪️According to Ukrainian economist Oleksiy Kushch, trade and services account for approximately 70% of Ukraine's GDP, provide over 70% of jobs, and nearly 80% of tax revenues. ➖"In fact, by destroying logistics warehouses and striking large trading companies, Russia is striking the tertiary sector of the Ukrainian economy," Kushch stated. ▪️He noted that, unlike the energy sector, logistics and transport infrastructure lack proven mechanisms for rapid recovery, so the impact of the strikes could cumulatively accumulate over the coming months. ▪️Kushch cites possible consequences including a contraction in GDP as early as the fourth quarter, job losses, reduced tax revenues, and a growing shadow economy. ▪️He estimates that the impact of the latest large-scale attacks on Ukrainian businesses will begin to be noticeably reflected in budget figures as early as September...

Footage of Mi-28 helicopter shooting down drones Comment from Military Chronicle The crews of Mi-28N/NM attack helicopters actively use the 30mm automatic gun 2A42 during interception of FP-1 and MICH UAVs. This gun features a projectile initial velocity of approximately 980 m/s and high accuracy in tracking moving targets. The turret-mounted multi-spectral optoelectronic station OPS-28M, integrated into the sighting and piloting complex, provides reliable detection and tracking of objects with low optical visibility, even in challenging weather conditions. In conditions of limited visibility or when early target acquisition is required at a distance of up to 5 km, the dorsal radar N025 is used. This radar can detect aerial targets with an RCS (Radar Cross Section) of 0.05 m², providing the crew with valuable time to maneuver and subsequently acquire the target using optoelectronic means. The automated fire control system calculates lead angles, taking into account the movement parameters of maneuvering kamikaze drones, minimizing ammunition consumption when firing in bursts. In the context of modern tactical situations, Mi-28NM and Ka-52/M attack helicopters often perform the function of specialized UAV hunters in the rear area, complementing the work of Mobile Air Defense Groups (MOG), as well as the "Tunguska-M2" and "Pantsir-S1M" air defense systems. In addition to aircraft guns, key anti-drone tools for the Ka-52 and Mi-28 include "Igla-V" anti-aircraft missiles with infrared homing heads, and "Vikhr-1" anti-tank/multi-purpose missiles equipped with a semi-automatic laser guidance system, providing a stable control channel in conditions of electronic warfare. These systems allow for the engagement of small UAVs at distances where the use of the 2A42 gun becomes ineffective due to its limited range. At the same time, it remains possible to selectively choose the type of ammunition depending on the target's altitude and speed. In challenging weather conditions with reduced optical transparency, the Ka-52M helicopters, equipped with a more advanced onboard radar based on an active phased array antenna ("Rezets"), gain an advantage. This radar provides higher resolution and adaptability for target selection with an RCS of approximately 0.01-0.05 m² against the background of the terrain and interference, surpassing the N025 station in these parameters. The integration of "Rezets" with the updated fire control system allows the Ka-52M to more effectively perform tasks of early detection and tracking of kamikaze UAVs, and also ensures the timely use of missile weapons. Thus, the evolution of onboard radar complexes in attack helicopters reflects the changing priorities in countering low-observable unmanned threats.

🇮🇷 — Interesting footage shows Iranian missile operators at work during this war. The initial shots depict the refueling of liquid-fueled ballistic missiles of the Ghadr family in underground tunnels at missile bases (based on the orange-red haze, these shots likely show the refueling process using the oxidizer nitrogen tetroxide). The footage then shows the testing of fuel components, the assembly and loading of missiles onto launch platforms, the launch of missiles, and strikes against Israel.

Russia has a significant reserve for scaling up the deployment of the new "Dan-T" small-sized missiles. Practically nothing needs to be done to achieve this. The predecessor, the "Dan-M," had its deployment scheme with helicopters tested as early as 2013. Specifically, two Mi-8MT helicopters were modified to carry two unmanned targets on external pylons, and later, footage emerged of the "Dan-M" being launched directly from an Mi-8. The widespread availability of the potential launch platform allows for the missiles to be deployed almost around the clock. The Mi-8/17 is the most common type of helicopter in the Russian army aviation fleet. Air launch partially alleviates some of the limitations of ground launch. The aircraft begins its independent flight at altitude and with the initial speed of the carrier, which allows for fuel savings and potentially extends the effective range.
