To anyone who follows this channel (feds too), go and check out @TheWessexNomad's new video and give his channel some support (on Telegram, but also his videos are on YouTube and Odysee). He's a long time friend of mine and is now making some excellent videos about local, national and occasionally international sights of interest, whether that be historical locations, or natural sights. The intention is to encourage people to discover their own local history, and become actively engaged in embracing their local culture. For every one of our people who upholds and preserves their local culture, the more nodes there are to maintain it. Rather than asking why no one is preserving their cultural heritage, the real question is why aren't you taking part in preserving yours? The Wessex Nomad shouldn't be seen as yet another travel vlogger documenting local sites for entertainment, but should encourage you to go outside, touch grass and do the same. https://t.me/TheWessexNomad/223

The much neglected topic of the Frisian variant of Germanic paganism is fascinating https://youtu.be/V4c4g7BanSo

At the drug store for $3 I love these little guys. They have such cheery vibes. Makes you wanna drink wine and feel fine. Loaf out on a toadstool by an old creek and puff on some good leaf. Gnomes are the spirit of the simplest and most natural of life's pleasure. So I collect little Gnome statues to remind me not to be such a jerkoff.

The Spirit of War by C.N.J. Cornwell In days of old, in age of wealth, When men would boast to other’s health. Where maids would sing, and children play, The elders reigned the folk-affray. The sacred-flame was kept ablaze, The Gothar spoke through fogged haze: Sal sĆ” hon standa sólu fjarri; a hall from the Sun, in rooms of Sindri… The Folk will rest, at cycle’s end, When Gods are gone and men must fend; Their own to keep, by flight or kill, All laws to write by Woden’s will. An ancient time, will see no more, The halls of gold now huts of straw. The children scream, our women cry, The men fall to their knees and die. An age of swords, an age we share, The axe will hew all foeman fair. The storms will rage and tear the skies, The chains will break, the wolves will fly. Yet sun-wheel spins, each time in turn, All evil will combust and burn. The flaming sword of wrath none mourn, For battle bleeds a beauteous dawn. The Gothar's torches fell aside, The fire flicked, then ebbed and died. The Folk were taken, stripped of self, No more their men would toast to health. Fear not the time the Gods demise, Nor pine for eons left behind. Our nations, tribes and holy lands, Were birthed from ash by Heathen hands. The sacred-flame eternal burns, A thousand years for evil; spurn. Our men have rose, Gothar decry: Our time has come– at cycle’s nigh! May spear be cast, and war-runes read, May prayer be made to heroes dead. May priest be priest, and thane be thane; May noble men forge caste again. A house divided, shall not stand, A holy place to build by hand. By flesh and brick, by steel and flame, A space for Gods to come again. Invoke their names, each day you must; Gods of battle - Tiw the Just, Wotan Frenzied, Mighty Thor; Return to us the Spirit of War!

Last night I had it revealed in a dream to me by the Holy Lawd Jesus (pbuh) that the Oera Linda book is indeed the only true history of Europe. This channel will henceforth be known as Frya's Hall and we will preach to you the Holy Sacred Frisian truth of the Oera Linda šŸ™

Say hello to Cees, the Stone-Age Man of Mienakker. He was found in 1990 in a field located between the villages Aartswoud and Hoogwoud, in the region of West-Frisia. A special find: his remains are one of the oldest finds from the late neolithic period in the Netherlands, and they are remarkably well preserved. Cees belonged to the Single Grave culture. After he was found, it took another 23 years before a more thorough investigation was conducted into the details of the grave, and the reconstruction shown above was made. Cees was around 170 cms tall, robustly built and between 26 and 35 years old when he died. He was buried in a sort of structure, indicated by a patter of postholes around his grave (see image above). This construction was likely a barrow of sorts with a possible open entrance, since his lower legs and right arm were missing and traces of wolf bites were found. He was buried on his left side, facing southward, which is odd because as far as I know men from the Single Grave culture were buried on their right side, facing westward (correct me if I’m wrong on this, perhaps local variations were common?). Interestingly enough, they also found traces of a small (older) settlement in the same place. This settlement consisted of a sturdily built longhouse with several hearths, ploughed fields and fenced off cattle fields. The diet of the inhabitants was very diverse: they ate lots of fish and other sea-critters, but also lots of beef, grains, wild plants and fruits such as apples and hazelnuts. They also used boats made of wooden frames and seal-skin. This is evidenced by found remains of said frames, seal bones and lots of haddock remains, which is a fish caught in deeper, colder waters. At a Corded Ware settlement in KalvĆø in Denmark, traces of haddock fishing were also found. It’s likely that the settlement was abandoned after a nearby creek dried up. The grave was then built over the remains of the house and part of the creek. Was this done by the old inhabitants, who wanted to bury Cees where he lived? Were they descendants of the inhabitants, who wanted to honour their forefathers with the burial? We will probably never know, but it certainly sparks the imagination and makes the distant past a bit more tangible. As far as I know, they never extracted genetic material from Cees. His remains and reconstruction can be viewed in the archeology museum Huis van Hilde in Castricum.

We also find the Donderbezem in the form a broom, as pictured here. As Malcolm points out in the post above, the broom was used to protect the hearth and home. This was because the broom would sweep away bad luck and evil spirits. The term bezem comes from the same root as our English word besom.

The Donderbezem (thunder broom) is a protective stave, likely based on the Hagal rune, used in the Netherlands and northern Germany. A likely holdover from pagan Saxon times. It’s either built into brick walls, or occasionally on the ridge of a roof, to protect from lightning strikes and evil spirits. In the Icelandic Rune Poem, ā€œįš¼ is cold grain and shower of sleet and sickness of serpents.ā€ With the recurring theme of serpents as an embodiment of chaos in Indo European religions, it make perfect sense that Hagal rune could serve as a protective stave-and a symbol of Thor himself. As for the ā€œbroomā€ part of it, in continental Germanic religion, the broom was connected with the hearth. For centuries, it was believed that placing a broom by your door would keep evil spirits from entering your home. The Donderbezem is also similar to the Slavic Perunika/thunder flower stave, associated with Perun, which is also carved on buildings in Eastern Europe to prevent lightning strikes. ᚼ

Bell beaker stemmed from a Corded Ware ā€œtribeā€, who in circa 2500 BC expanded across a vast area. This area covers more than 1,600 kilometers from north to south and 1,600 kilometers from east to west. 😱😱😱😱😱 Think about that. Bell Beaker was one ā€œtribeā€ who took over an area that vast. WOW. 😱😱 We don’t yet know which specific ā€œtribeā€ gave rise to Bell Beaker but many, based on archaeology, think this proto-Beaker ancestor lived in the Netherlands. We don’t have any ancient DNA from Corded Ware Netherlands yet so this hasn’t been able to be proven. But ancient DNA has proven Bell beaker derives from Corded Ware. We just don’t know for sure yet which specific Corded Ware ā€œtribeā€ was their ancestor.

According to Vedic beliefs, one inherits three debts with birth. The first is repaid to the gods with sacrifices. The second is repaid to the Rishis (sages) through religious study. The third is repaid to the forefathers by having children of your own. I believe the same applies to Germanic pagans, of course. When we study the Eddas we are repaying our debt not merely to Snorri but to all the ancient goưar who passed on the sacred knowledge so that it could be written down by Christians and then rediscovered at a time decreed by Wyrd, for the pioneers of the spiritual revolution. Some people focus too much on one, but a man must repay all three.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Don't forget to go outside as much as you can. šŸŒ²šŸ—暟„šŸ—暟Œ²

Nothing against haplogroup science. It's a useful tool for archaeo-genetics researchers, and crucial for fighting back against those who want to claim ancient Europeans were "black". But the point Dave makes is about rejecting the materialist/reductionist mindset. We are not a sum of parts, but parts of a whole, etc etc.

The folkish worldview is far more than just a prioritization of ethnos. In fact boiling it down to that is more of the same profane mundanity of defining our forms into bits from the periodic table. The folk weltanschauung is an imaginal one. It is when your mind speaks in poetics instead of analytics. It is hearing the songs sung by the immanent world and knowing that its life is not separate from your own. That you and your reality were painted by divine architects. Every expression of it speaks both beauty and horror that intertwines with the totality of your immortal ancestral saga. That you can look at a mere sunrise and immediately conjure the vibrant palette a thousand tales. Not blood and soil but blood and cosmos. That's what gives your race meaning. Not some fucking tube full of spit that tells you your haplogroup.

Winter Masquerades in the Low Countries 2/2 The Dead Who Serve Don’t forget to read the first part for important context! At the heart of winter, when the days are shortest and the nights longest; when the sun is seemingly swallowed by the darkness, a peculiar holiday is observed. A holiday older than we can recall, one of renewal and rebirth. A holiday which is, although masked, still celebrated today…… We read the following in a dictate from the Anglo-Saxon church in the 7th century: ā€œIn the days of January, the heathens clothe themselves with the turning of things in unfathomable deformities. And what is even worse, some baptised folk take on false appearances and monstrous faces, for which one should be ashamed, but even more saddened. If therefore thou wilt have no part in their sins, make sure no deer or cow or any other vermin enters your home.ā€ Familiar elements present themselves: the ā€œturning of thingsā€ refers to the winter solstice; the period wherein winter dies and spring is born. The other element is the people disguising themselves; they wear animal skins and put on masks. Sounds familiar? Our heathen forefathers celebrated Yule during the twelve darkest nights of the year, when the world is seemingly on the edge of collapsing into darkness and chaos: the sun must return! Everyone must help the turning of the cosmic wheel; the Gods, the living and the dead. The Gods fulfill their mythical role, for example in the Wild Hunt, the living perform their sacred rituals, but what of the dead? The dead come knocking on the doors, in the form of the Old Servant! When the men cover themselves in animal hides and wear masks, they take on a different form. They are no longer themselves, but now represent the dead. I write men here, because traditionally this practice was reserved for men, and to be specific only those men who had been initiated into the sacred MƤnnerbund. Through their initiation they were placed outside of common society, somewhere between the living and the dead. They were closer to the dead than common folk and could disguise themselves, by which they become posessed and really become the dead. These figures also serve in the Wild Host of the Host-father/Woden. This is clearly represented in aspects of the servant’s appearance, such as the spear and the horn. Thus, they represent the everyday ancestors as well as the ancestors who serve the Allfather as fallen warriors. Now it becomes clear who this Master and his Old Servant are: the master is Woden, and the servants are the dead who serve him: the fallen warrior, the initiated young man, perhaps even all of the dead collectively. After the christening the heathen master was replaced by Saint Nicholas, and after the reformation the servant became (in protestant areas) both his master and himself. The dead visit during the holy tide that beckons the sun’s return and winter’s banishment. Summer must prevail over winter, and equally so must order prevail over the anti-social, cold chaos. The ā€˜Klozums’, the servants that visit, they propagate this. According to Jan Kooistra, the servants have a ā€˜right to reprimand’ and a ā€˜right to steal’. They criticize the living if they don’t adhere to the social order, and punish the children if they don’t act according to their parent’s order. And when the living don’t present an offering to the undead visitors, they’ll rightly take an offering. Just like the Wild Hunt in the heavens, which chases away the darkness, the servants visit earth to aid the banishment of chaos. The darkness retreats, the fertility of the earth returns: the new year begins.

Apologies for the lack of activity here lately. Expect part 2 of this very soon. https://t.me/redbadshall/123
