Thankful to have been there, a truly powerful time. Cheers to new friends and old, hail until we meet again!
Repost from Survive the Jive: All-feed
15 of us gathered last night to worship at Thunor's oak. Many of the usual faces were absent but there were seven new faces, all of whom were very welcome. The rite to the champion of the gods was observed with pious sincerity and was followed by a boisterous evening of frithful drinking and singing. Thanks to all who attended the blot!
Some more pictures from the sacred site. At least there were lots of cool birds (Eurasian oystercatchers, some harrier or hawk and lots of small ones I didn't recognize), but I'm afraid they will also lose this place as construction progresses.
UPDATE: I went to the location of the sacred site near Tiel, took some video and photos. On the map I clarified what you see on the footage, in relation to an estimated location of the historic sacred site provided by Zonnevlam. As you can see construction has already started. We are in contact with the municipality and waiting to hear from them concerning further options or actions. Stay tuned.
Looks like I finally made it to the big boy leagues! Needless to say, this is some scammer and should be ignored or trolled.
This weekend we celebrated a most glorious Midsummer! We raised the Maypole with the rooster on top, knocked down the rooster, gathered nine sacred trees and nine sacred herbs to burn, started the fire by way of Need-fire, and finally burned our offerings in that sacred fire!
A great weekend with wonderful people, very rejuvenating. Soon I will bring some updates on the Tiel "Stonehenge" situation.
Also: look closely at the smoke in the last picture. If that's not a good omen, I don't know what is! Thanks Edward for pointing that out to me. Hail!
Yesterday, on Midsummer, archeologists announced a monumental find in the Netherlands. A large sacred site with burial mounds and grave fields arranged as a solar calendar, for which it's been called the Dutch Stonehenge. They have found over a million items, which show the site was in use for at least 800 years starting from the early Bronze Age, but probably for much longer afterwards.
Because of the way this lovely country works, the site will NOT be preserved. There is an industrial development planned, and the municipality deems it isn't worth protecting since a large scale touristic attraction (like at Stonehenge) can't be realized.
This is of course outrageous, and together with Zonnevlam and Swesaz we are organizing action to try and save this sacred site. Please sign the petition so we can put pressure on the municipality! The website is in Dutch but it's very easy, enter your name/initials and email address, then don't forget to confirm your signature through the email they send you!
Please share this far and wide!

I'll probably post more nature/ecology related stuff in the future. Might be worthwhile to talk about environmentalist topics from a folkish perspective, since it's a folkish thing in essence. The popular idea that environmentalism is only for soya drinkers and leftist mutants is outright wrong.
Of course my focus here is still on Heathen topics. Currently still working on the article about Heathen Law, but it's quite a lot of work so please be patient. When it's all done I'll post the full document, which is now 16 pages, as well as short outtakes for easy reading.
Regardless of whether the actions he took were right or wrong, it is impossible to deny the impact Ted Kaczynski has had on the world and on Luddite/ecological thought. Now that his passing has been confirmed, let us remember his ideas and heed his warnings. We must carry on his struggle, in honour of him, and those who came before him, who always fought for Nature, against the chaotic forces that constantly try to destroy it. Hail Nature! Hail the Glorious Dead!
I don't normally post this sort of thing, but this is an exceptional occasion. Without the influence of Ted K and other ecological thinkers I probably would not be where I am now. I truly believe that as folkish Heathens we must always choose Nature's side, and defend Nature until Death takes us.

In another period of time, he'd be seen as the greatest of revolutionaries. His works had an undeniable effect on me early on.
If he truly has passed (or a few months back) then it's clear that his works become more potent with each passing day.
To those who disagree, I'll be honest, I've had numerous messages about your views before, they don't interest me.

Still working on this, have to translate it all from my Dutch version. Please be patient but ready your reading glasses, it will be at least twelve pages.
Check out this wonderful song by my friend Nils 🙌

A good video! This Sunday or early next week I will have a longer article ready which also covers the topic of oaths, particularly in a legal context, their application, punishments for breaking oaths & mythological origins. Watch this space 🙌

An impressive Frisian pendant with a fylfot, found in Wiuwert, Netherlands, 7th Century. It was buried along with several other gold pendants and objects in a small vessel around 630AD.
DISCLAIMER: this is a purely speculative fictional story, and I am not claiming anything in it is authentic to what our ancestors believed. Probably doesn't need to be said but you never know.
Something a bit different, my submission for April's Monthly White Art Challenge, around the theme of Rebirth. Have a look at the channel and all the wonderful artists participating. Support your folk, support those creating art and culture!
