ᛃ Veg plots are cleared (other than winter/early spring crops), fruit & veg that can be are stored, everything is pruned, mulched, any animals dealt with, certain tools cleaned & stored, & I have one last house to visit. Today is my last working day, then I have a little over 3 weeks off to be with kith & kin, & I can't wait. I've decided to do a form of mini hibernation this year ;) Hope you all have a fruitful Yule with those dearest to you! ❄️ ᛖ

ᛗ Can anyone recommend their favourite/best read book(s) on megaliths? I'm always on the hunt for them, I thought someone may know one I've missed ;) ᛇ

ᛗ Hive harvested, home made goodness! One down, one more to go, I'm making one traditional style mead & one 'experimental' batch. My honey has been particularly nice (we had no nearby Rapeseed growing this year, so the bees had a more diverse range of plant collection) so we're looking forward to the result. ᛃ

ᛚ Every meal, I believe, should be held as sacred & honoured. In today's rapacious daily lifestyle, food to most is simply 'fuel' just to consume for the sake of 'getting through the day'. This is an injurious view towards food & an appalling habit which should be broken. Even the apparent 'gym going health nut' people I know of, still eat on the hoof, guzzling down low nutritious foods within poor environments. The emotional mood, environment & time one takes to eat also has a deep effect on how well one will digest their foods & gain the best nutritional benefits from it. On a daily basis, I take time away from work, activity, any people around (unless they want to join) & wander off to quietly eat. This all accumulates towards nutrients for the body, mind & spirit. Many I've worked with make digs about my lunchtime being self indulgent, but then they're happy being crammed in a van, with the news on the radio, scoffing food out of plastic packaging, this is noxious for the body, mind & spirit. Have a week of purposeful, intentional healthy breaking & foods & you'll wholeheartedly feel a difference. ᛒ

Right now, whilst most children are in school learning how to masturbate, transition or despise themselves for destroying the planet... mine are roaming the countryside around my home with CB radios imagining that they're on an adventure where monsters and spirits reside. Later they'll go to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class, do some crocheting, put the chickens away for the night and settle down whilst I read them a few more pages of Lord of the Rings before bed.

ᛉ I've been honoured by receiving numerous messages as of late giving praise for my poetic work. Especially as someone with minimal written language skill/knowledge (I don't even hold an English GCSE) so it is deeply humbling. I've also been asked why I write & the inspiration. Personally, I believe the 'inspiration' for poetry is fairly clear from the topics which are written about. On the 'why', it is genuinely an urge, a passion, a fervent need to simply create something in the hope that others read them, take a breath/moment & also feel inspired by their own history, kin, land, nature & deities. Some poems for me hold more potency than entire books, they make one think, dream, wonder & instill a fire within. They have the ability to create a solemn honour towards those that have fallen, read like fleeting memories, create a thirst to live like one's ancestors or carve an awe for all the unknown & that we worship. Our oral traditions have kept our cultures & traditions alive throughout history, being passed like embers to catch & become future fires. Perhaps it's self indulgent, but if all the poems I ever write accumulate to a single one of those embers, I'll be more than content. By this point, I have quite literally hundreds of poems, many (if not more than those that still exist) mortal eyes will never see, as over the years they have been written for deities I follow & have been read aloud once, offered, to then become floating ashes into the Night's sky. This practice has become an integral part of my spiritual path, so my poems shall continue to be cast out, like scattered seeds they may rot from weather & passing time, or germinate to a single shoot, either way I will continue to do so. ᛖᛚᚢᚱᚲᚨ ᛣ
