| 2 | Following the opening session, parallel external review sessions were conducted across five faculties of the Institute. During these sessions, the revised curricula of the respective academic programs were presented and critically reviewed by external reviewers, including university academicians and industry experts.
The reviewers provided constructive comments, professional observations, and recommendations aimed at strengthening the relevance, quality, coherence, and responsiveness of the curricula to the needs of industry, society, and the labor market.
Conversely, Dr. Abreham Birlane, the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Coordinator, highlighted that the university will always ensure the quality of all its programs in all respects by setting up different strategies pertinent to the program.
Following the presentation, a fruitful discussion was conducted. The participants appreciated the efforts of the organizers to make the workshop successful.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Fentahun Modes, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Faculty Deans, Department Heads, all the external reviewers and industry experts for their valuable time, constructive comments, and thoughtful recommendations. | 833 |

Hawassa University Institute of Technology organized an external review workshop on the outcome-based curriculum of BSC engineering programs from August 31-September 02, 2026 at HU-IOT Hall.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Mihret Dananto, Scientific Director of HU-OT, highlighted the rapid transformations in higher education and industry driven by technological advancements, digital transformation, and evolving labor-market demands. He argued for a shift from traditional theoretical knowledge to an outcome-based education model that prepares graduates to apply their knowledge, solve real-world problems, and adapt to new technologies. | 724 |

የሀዋሳ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የቀድሞ ተማሪዎች "አንለያይም!" በሚል መሪ ቃል ከነሐሴ 22 -24/2018 ዓ/ም የሚካሄደው የአብሮነት፣ የትብብርና የትውስታ መርሃግብር ትላንት ነሐሴ 22 ቀን 2018 ዓ/ም በድምቀት ተጀምሯል፡፡
ስሟ ሲጠራ በፍቅር የሚነዝረው ብዙ ወዳጅ ያፈራችው የውቢቷ ሐዋሳ ከተማ አስተዳደር ከፍተኛ የስራ ኃላፊዎች በወጣትነት ዘመናቸው ሀዋሳ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ገብተው ሶስትም፣ አራትም፣ አምስትም፣ ሰባትም ዓመታትን ተምረው፣ ከ20 ዓመታት በፊት ተመርቀው ለወግ ማዕረግ የበቁትን ልጆቿን ዳኤ ቡሹ ብለው በክብር ተቀብለዋል፡፡
ከሃዋሳ መግቢያው ከሳውዝስፕሪንግ የጀመረው የምሽት የኮሪደር ልማት ጉብኝት በብርሃን የተሞላችውና በልማት ትራንስፎርሜሽን ላይ የምትገኘው ሐዋሳ መልክ በናፍቆት ሊያዩዋት ለመጡት ልጆቿ የደስታና ኩራት እንዲሁም የዕድገትና ብልጽግና ተስፋ መሆኗን አስመስክረዋል፡፡
