TEENS OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL
DATE: MONDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH 2026
TOPIC: WEEP NO MORE
MEMORISE: Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13
BIBLE READING : ISAIAH 30:19
19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
MESSAGE:
Weeping is a natural response tp sorrow, sadness, troubles, and pain, which abound in the world today because of the existence of the devil. In the name above all names, | pray that any work of the devil that may exist in your life or family will be destroyed today. The Lord will keep you from sorrow, in Jesus' name.
In John 5:1-9, there was a man who had lived in grief and pain for 38 years because he had no one to help him. After he encountered Jesus, his problem was solved completely. God is able to solve long-standing problems, regardless of how many years they have existed.
My dear child, if perhaps you have been considering giving up on a particular situation or goal, I want you to know that your moment of rejoicing is here. Please, don't give up; help is around the corner. God will bring restoration and sort you out regardless of how difficult the situation may be. God's word for you today is, "Weep not!" I decree that the rain of God's grace, favour, and mercy will fall on you today and resolve any long-standing problem that might be in your life, in Jesus' name.
KEY POINT:
Weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

TOPIC: THE ULTIMATE PROMOTER
MEMORISE
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - (Psalm 3:3)
READING: 1 SAMUEL 2:7-9 (KJV)
7 The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.
9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
MESSAGE
When I was studying for my Master's degree, there was a young man who was working in a professor's office as a messenger. In those days, there were no mobile phones, so whenever someone called the office phone to speak with the professor, the boy would answer the phone first before taking it to the professor. Most times, however, whenever he answered the phone, the people on the other end of the call would say, "Prof," thinking it was the professor who had answered. After some time, the boy began to call himself 'Prof,' and people joined in, jokingly calling him the same. One day, he said to himself, "Hey, I know that people jokingly call me 'Prof, but I can really become a professor." By the time I left the University of Lagos as a lecturer, he was already studying for his PhD.
Today's Bible reading says that God can lift beggars from the dunghill and sit them among princes. I can relate to this because I had no shoes for the first 18 years of my life, yet by God's special grace, I have met many heads of state and engaged in lengthy conversations with them. The same God who promoted me can also promote you, if you surrender all to Him.
Some people experience what can be called 'normal' promotions in life. A good example of this is when people make steady progress in their careers. They might get salary increases once every year, and as they work hard, they get promoted once every five years. While this is good, I know that God has greater plans for His children. In John 10:10, Jesus said that He came to the earth that we might have life and have it more abundantly. God wants you to enjoy promotion that is beyond normal; He wants you to enjoy supernatural promotion. David was someone who experienced supernatural promotion. One day, he was on the field tending his father's sheep, and the next day, the Ultimate Promoter arranged for him to be anointed as a king (1 Samuel 16:11-13).
Beloved, the key to experiencing supernatural promotion is to humble yourself before God and live in total obedience to Him. When you do this, He will exalt you in due time and crown your life with His glory (1 Peter 5:6). I pray that the Ultimate Promoter will give you a supernatural promotion before the end of this year, in Jesus' name.
PRAYER POINT
Father, I ask for supernatural promotion in every area of my life, in Jesus' name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR EZEKIEL 41 - 43
HYMN 27: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
1. What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refugeā
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms Heāll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
Hello. Good day Beloved.
Today, we receive the Grace to be humble and to walk in obedience to God. As we do so, we declare that we step into greater levels of Divine promotions in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: VICTORY OVER ADVERSITY
MEMORISE:
But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.
Mark 10:27
READ: PSALM 34:17-19 KJV
[17] The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
[18] The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
[19] Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
MESSAGE:
Adversities are challenges and obstacles that obstruct the progress of an individual or group of people. ;In the Bible, the Israelites faced various adversities, including Pharaoh and his army, the wall of Jericho, Goliath, and the Philistines. In today's world, adversities in the life of believers may include poverty, sickness, slavery, captivity, siege, and barrenness. These adversities keep people in a spot and make it difficult for them to make progress in life. They may seem insurmountable by human efforts, but with God, nothing is impossible. Any situation in your life that is against God's purpose is an abnormality brought about by the devil and, sometimes, by sin.
My dear child, I want you to know that with Jesus in your life, you can have victory over every adversity or unpleasant situation that may come your way. However, you need to know the source of the adversity first. If you are facing adversity in your life and the cause is sin, the first thing you need to do is confess your sins and surrender your life totally to Jesus Christ. Then, you can command the adversity to leave. If the adversity has been brought about by the devil, remember that you have been given authority over him (Luke 10:19). Therefore, stand on your authority and command the devil to flee in the name of Jesus. He will heed your command, and the adversity will be a thing of the past.
QUIZ:
Name two adversities the Israelites faced on their way to the promised land.
CONFESSION:
I command every adversity in my life and family to disappear now in the name of Jesus.

HYMN 14: HO, MY COMRADES
1. Ho, my comrades, see the signal,
Waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing,
Victory is nigh.
CHORUS
Refrain:
āHold the fort, for I am coming,ā
Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to heaven,
āBy Thy grace we will.ā
2. See the mighty host advancing,
Satan leading on,
Mighty ones around us falling,
Courage almost gone!
3. See the glorious banner waving,
Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leaderās Name we triumph
Over every foe.
4. Fierce and long the battle rages,
But our help is near,
Onward comes our great Commander,
Cheer, my comrades, cheer!
God has a Word for you every morning...

MEMORISE
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. - (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
BIBLE READING: HEBREWS 6:11-12 (KJV)
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
MESSAGE
Today's memory verse says that there is nothing new under the sun. This means that if you are trying to achieve something, someone else has achieved the same thing or something similar before. Therefore, if you study that person and follow the principles the fellow lived by and the steps he or she took, you should also achieve the same result. This is why you must make it a habit to learn from the people you admire and seek to emulate. When you study their lifestyles and actions and add your knowledge and experience to that, you will be positioned to achieve even greater things than they did.
I always tell my children who want to be like me, "While everyone is focusing on the glory, pay attention to the story." God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34); whatever He has done for me, He is ready to do for anyone if they follow the principles I follow. When I became a Christian, I devoted quality time to studying the lives of the people who inspired me in the Bible, as I wanted to emulate them. For example, I spent three years studying Elijah. I loved Elijah because he was a man who could say a short prayer, and fire would fall. I loved his audacity and saw that the principles that powered his life were a devoted prayer altar and an unwavering focus on his God-given assignment. After studying Elijah for three years, I discovered Elisha, a man who possessed a double portion of Elijah's spirit, and I shifted my focus to studying him for several years as well. I have also studied Paul because he was a scholar (Acts 22:3), and he was mightily anointed. Studying the lives of these men has shown me what I must do to remain eternally relevant in God's plan.
Beloved, God has put numerous men and women in His word for you to study and emulate. Additionally, there are also people you can learn from in the present and in recent history. Don't deprive yourself of the wealth of knowledge and wisdom you can glean from studying others. Learn from their successes and even their failures and mistakes so you can know how to avoid the same or similar errors. I pray that the Almighty God will point you towards great men and women you can learn from who will help you to fulfil your glorious destiny in Him, in Jesus' name.
KEY POINT
When you study others, you will glean and gather wisdom for living.

HYMN 28: GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH
1. Guide me, O thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but thou art mighty;
Hold me with thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven! Bread of heaven!
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.
2. Open thou the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire, cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through:
Strong Deliverer! Strong Deliverer!
Be thou still my strength and shield,
Be thou still my strength and shield.
3. If I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Bear me through the swelling Torrent,
Land me safe on Canaanās side:
Songs of praises! Songs of praises!
I will ever give to thee,
I will ever give to thee.
4. Saviour, come! we long to see Thee,
Long to dwell with Thee above,
And to know in full communion
All the sweetness of Thy love.
Come, Lord Jesus, come, Lord Jesus!
Take Thy waiting people home,
Take Thy waiting people home.
Hello. Good day Beloved.
