Top Students Honored with College Dean May 21/2024 ++++++++++++ Last week, students who achieved a perfect 4.00 GPA were honored with the prestigious Presidential Award, celebrating their exceptional academic performance. Similarly, the College of Applied and Natural Sciences recognized students with GPAs of 3.75 to 3.84 for males and 3.5 to 3.74 for females with the College Dean's Award. This accolade highlights their dedication and hard work throughout the semesters. During the award ceremony, students received certificates of appreciation from Professor Teketel Yohannes, the Executive Director of the Ethiopian Science Academy, and Dr. Siraye Esubalew, the Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences. በ’’STII,2024’’ የምርምር ጉባዔ ላይ ለኢንዱስትሪው እድገት ወሳኝ እና ችግር ፈቺ የሆኑ 85 የምርምር ውጤቶች ቀርበዋል:: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ አዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በ2024 ዓ.ም አመታዊ የምርምር ጉባዔ ላይ ምርምሮቻቸውን እንዲያቀርቡ በሃገር አቀፍ እና አለም አቀፍ ደረጃ በአወጣው ጥሪ ከቀረቡ 140 ወረቀቶች እና ፖስተሮች መካከል 85 የጥናት ወረቀቶች በአምስት ተከፍለው ለተከታታይ ሁለት ቀናት ቀርበዋል፡፡ ለሁለት ቀናት በቀጠለው የምርምር ጉባዔ ላይ በሃገር ውስጥ ከሚገኙ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የመጡ ተመራማሪዎች የምርምር ውጤታቸውን አቅርበዋል፡፡ በአውደ ጥናቱ ላይ ከሃገር ውስጥ በተጨማሪ የካበተ የውጭ ሃገር ልምድ ያላቸው (ከሩሲያ፤ቻይና፤ደቡብ ኮሪያ፤ቤልጀም፤ደቡብ አፍሪካ) የመጡ ተመራማሪዎችም የምርምር ውጤታቸውን ከማቅረብ በዘለለ የጥናት እና ምርምር ልምዶቻቸውን ለተሳታፊዎች እና ለተመራማሪዎች አጋርተዋል፡፡ የቀረቡት የምርምር ውጤቶች የዩኒቨርሲቲው የትኩረት ማዕከላት በሆኑት 8 የልህቀት ማዕከላት ጋር ግንኙነት ያላቸው የምርምር ውጤቶች ናቸው፡፡ ከዚህ ጋር ተያይዞ የቀረቡት የምርምር ውጤቶች የኢንዱስትሪውን ዘርፍ በማሳደግ ወደ ተግባር ገብተው የማህበረሰቡን ችግሮች በትክክል ሊፈቱ የሚችሉ የምርምር ውጤቶች መሆናቸውን በስፋት ተገልጿል፡፡ ከቀረቡት የምርምር ውጤቶች በተጨማሪ 33 የሚሆኑ ተመራማሪዎች በተለያዩ የምርምር ዘርፎች ላይ ፖስተሮችን አቅርበዋል ፡፡ በማጠቃለያ መርሃ-ግብር ላይ የዩኒቨርሲቲው የምርምር እና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ም/ፕሬዝዳንት ዶ/ር አብረሃም ደበበ ተገኝተው የ2016 ዓ.ም የምርምር ጉባኤ ምርምር ወረቀት፤በምርምር ፖስተር ፤በተጋባዥ እና በቁልፍ ንግግር ላይ ለተሳተፉ ተሳታፊዎች የምስክር ወረቀት ሰጥተዋል፡፡ ዶ/ር አብረሃም በዘንድሮ አመት የምርምር ጉባኤ ብዙ የምርምር ስራዎች የቀረቡ ከመሆኑ በዘለለ የምርምር ስራዎች በተለያዩ ዘርፎች የራሳቸውን አስተዋጽኦ የሚያበረክቱ መሆናቸውን ገልጸዋል፡፡ በመሆኑም ይህ የምርምር ጉባኤ እውቀት ፤ልምድ እና ትስስር ለመፍጠር መልካም አጋጣሚ በመሆኑ ተሳታፊዎች በዚህ ጉባኤ ያገኙትን ልምድ እና እውቀት ለሃገር በሚጠቅም መልኩ እንዲጠቀሙበት አሳስበዋል፡፡ ከዚህ በተጨማሪ ዶ/ር ጌታቸው አዳም የዩኒቨርሲቲው የምርምር እና የልህቀት ማዕከላት ዳይሬክ ቶሬት ዳይሬክተር ይህን የምርምር ጉባኤ በተሳካ ሁኔታ እንዲካሄድ ስፖንሰር በመሆን እና በማስተባበር የተሳተፉ ድርጅቶች እና ተቋማትን አመስግነው ይህ ባህል እንዲዳብር እና የምርምር ስራዎች ዘላቂ በሆነ መልኩ ተግባራዊ እንዲሆኑ ባለድርሻ አካላት በጋራ በትብብር መስራት እንደሚገባቸው ገልጸዋል፡ ፡ ከዚህ በተጨማሪ ተመራማሪዎች ፤የኢንዱስትሪ እና የምርምር ማዕከላት በሚቀጥለው አመት ዩኒቨርሲቲው በሚያካሂደው የምርምር ጉባዔ (STII,2025) ላይ ከዘንድሮው በተሻለ መጠን እና ጥራት ለመሳተፍ ከአሁኑ ዝግጅት እንዲያደርጉ አሳስበዋል፡ ፡ At the STII 2024 research conference, 85 significant studies with implications for industry development and solutions to problems were presented. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Addis Ababa Science and Technology University invites all researchers with potentially significant breakthroughs to share their findings at the 2024 annual research conference. From the 140 papers and posters submitted, 85 research papers were chosen and presented in five sessions over two days. Universities from all throughout the country and abroad presented their profound research findings during the two-day research conference. In addition to Ethiopian researchers, professionals with substantial international experience from Russia, China, South Korea, Belgium, and South Africa offered views and presented their study findings for the participants. The papers presented in the conference are directly aligned with the research thematic areas of the university's eight centers of excellence. Furthermore, it is mentioned that the studies’ findings are highly valuable for the development of the industrial sector and can be applied to alleviate societal problems.

In addition to the scientific outcomes of the papers, 33 researchers displayed posters on various topics. Dr. Abraham Debebe, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, presided over the closing program of the STII 2024 research conference. He awarded certificates to the participants, including keynote speakers, research paper presenters, and poster presenters. He emphasized the significant contribution of research works to the development of various sectors. He highlighted the conference as an excellent opportunity for knowledge creation, experience sharing, and networking. Dr. Abraham urged participants to utilize the experience and knowledge gained during the conference for the benefit of the country. Additionally, Dr. Getachew Adam, Director for Research and Centers of Excellence, acknowledged the organizations and institutions that sponsored and coordinated the research conference. He expressed the importance of stakeholders collaborating to develop and sustain the culture of research. Dr. Getachew further urged researchers from institutions, industry experts, and research centers worldwide to prepare for next year's research conference (STII 2025) with higher quantity and quality contributions than this year.
