Did my trench run through the forest today. Had no choice because of the way the path is eroded along the edge of the drill pad, and I didn't want to take down 20 hardwoods to back the path up. Because of where it's located against the fence, it'd be a nightmare to get dirt in there to backfill it. The roots, man... what a total pain to dig this last stretch. But I'm gonna run a water line out into the forest from here and put a faucet on it to start irrigating my Live Oaks. I'll finish this up on Sunday, get the lines in, and cover it all up. I think it'll be close to 1400' when done.

Attempting something.... I've aquired two 21' 3" pipes and a 6ft 3" pipe. I've made them into an A frame and put a snatch block at the top. I'll mount an electric winch on the bottom with cable up thru the snatch block. The idea is to make a crane of sorts that I can hold up with the tractor loader and use the winch to hoist up the trusses for the pole barn. It's gunna work or we're gunna rent a towable manlift.

Met a local prepper today. He didn't say he was a hoarder... he said he is an "accumulator".

AI video really crap. One does not get the texture of a log by sliding the log across one has to roll the log across it so everything you see in this video is bullshit.

I swear the sun looked bigger when I took this picture. Thinking of starting a new religion. We will be the weslatarians. Sun worshippers. House becomes a church for tax write off, enough food growing for our community. Even a cemetery on site.

Augered 6 holes in the ground today for the pole shed. The very first corner post hole shot off crooked. It means I may have ot move all posts over 1/2 a post width.... If I'm careful I can move the string lines over 2-3/4"and maintain the square layout we did the other day. Dug the holes for one side and poured a bag of concrete in the bottom to make a footer pad. Tomorrow I'll mock up a 6x6 post in that boogered up corner and see if I need to change where we auger the 6 holes on the other side of the building. Nothing goes to plan.

Adventure today.... Pump on a 5acre parcel we have tripped out the other day. I turned breaker back on and pump pulled 10amps, all normal. Today found it tripped again. This time it really tripped every time I turned it on. Isolated the 240v line at the pressure switch and it still tripped. So must be a problem with wire under ground. Fortunately we also had a 2nd set of wires run out there for 120v outlet in pump house. Switched that wire over to pump duty and we're off and running.

This guy added some sensors to it like baro pressure which you likely don't need. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hampton-Bay-120-Lumen-Black-LED-Weather-Resistant-Outdoor-Landscape-Solar-Spotlight-with-Color-Changing-and-Adjustable-Head-72302-003-New/334187536

I was petting the german shepherd today and our other outdoor dog got jealous. He tried several times to insert himself between me and the other dog, but I just kept petting the shepherd. The malinois did his thing where he forced his way between my legs and sat down. he put his head up and started scooching backwards, making me walk backwards away from the other dog. Such a smart boy.
