One more thought.... we've turned this world upside down. We've convinced a few generations of girls that they can be better / stronger / faster at the things men do best and forsaken the ONE thing they can actually do that men cant.... Girls today want a cell phone instead of a toy baby doll. Take the cartoon above.... we measure a fish's abilty to climb a tree. Same for women today... we tell them the race is about competing with men when they could be excelling at being... gasp... mothers.

Random thoughts for the day.... you have time to think when mowing. 1)How important is family? So important that you have two names... you have your own identity and you have your family name. You are both an individual AND a part of your tribe. My father in law used to insist that my wife tell people "who she belonged to" when she was a girl. Proud dads make sure kids don't ruin the name of their family. 2)When a woman gives birth ya know who the mother is.... but do we know who the father is? Do you expect him to invest his effort, love and teaching into a child that he has no attachment to? Then give the child his last name. Make the child belong to him and him to the child. How's that "I don't need no man" working out for the single moms? Are they raising moral and good young men? Are they raising daughters worthy of the commitment of a man to be a provider and parent? Children need both parents: they need mom for nurturing and they need dad for tough love. Society fails without both. 3)This will be an odd question but here goes anyway.... Black youth are out of control (and white youth are lazy and not far behind). WRT the black family.... did the KKK keep feral blacks in line or did LBJ's great society eviscerate the black family by incentivizing black dads being pushed out of the house? Many think we need lynchings to solve the plague of black crime but that's just treating the symptom. Is the root cause the lack of fathers in the house?

https://a.co/d/07PxYi9S I got this on sale for $42 a week ago... this morning I'm on the 7th day since a full charge and battery is at 51%.... this one is great for portable use.

All plants are edible. Some only once.

Ginger Billy is settling in nice... hes trotting up and down the common fence between the paddocks with his tail wagging. And while I was collecting eggs, he pushed his head against the back of my leg and just stood there... he wanted the top of his head scratched. he's a sweet boy.

We just received another 200 meat birds for customers in NC. One brooder wasnt enough, so we split the chicks across two. I really like these ceramic heaters vs using heat lamps. They pull a lot less current and dont pose fire dangers. We should be processing another batch soon thats reached maturity. Let me know if you want to know what kind of brooder heaters we use.

"Your great-grandmother was not trying to manifest a beach vacation. She was not curating an aesthetic. She was not optimizing...anything. She had a list, and the list was short, and the list was sacred. A full pantry. Healthy children. A roof that did not leak. A husband who came home. A garden that produced. A few good dresses. A reliable stove. Sunday dinner with people she loved. Enough flour for the week and enough kindness for the neighbors. That was the whole dream. That was the whole life. And by the standards of most of human history, achieving that list was a roaring success. Then the twentieth century happened, and somebody figured out that a woman who is content is terrible for business. A woman with a full pantry is not running to the store. A woman who is satisfied with her kitchen is not redoing it every four years. A woman who knows what enough looks like cannot be sold the next thing. So they got to work. They made the small house embarrassing. They made the old car embarrassing. They made the home-cooked meal embarrassing, and then when nobody knew how to cook anymore they sold it back as a meal kit with a celebrity chef on the box. They raised the cost of living until both parents had to work, and then they sold daycare and convenience food and weekend therapy to fix the exhaustion that working both jobs created in the first place. They took your great-grandmother's list and called it poverty. They took her life and called it limited. They took her contentment and called it a lack of ambition. And then they sold you ambition. They sold you a bigger house you cannot clean, a car you cannot pay off, a wardrobe you do not wear, a calendar you cannot survive, and a vague constant feeling that you are still falling behind. You are not falling behind. You are running a race that was designed to have no finish line. The race itself is the product.

I just recorded this traffic on the nashville network. This is a healthy and active network. My understanding is there are a few areas of the US similar to this such as around Washington State and into BC Canada.
