Are America and some third world countries really the only places where traditionalist-oriented mainline Protestantism is still holding on? Absolutely cooked. | 8 | I love these old classic games, so much so that I have my Amazon Fire Stick set up to use emulators, and that's all I use it for. I've never once watched TV or movies on there, I only ever have used it for Retroarch. Definitely a good investment, it has worked very well so far for it.
I'm running a Bluetooth controller with it, in the past I've had problems with other devices where the Bluetooth controller is not quite up to the task of playing those old platformers since they're too slow or not precise enough, too much latency over the Bluetooth connection, etc but it's been flawless so far. Just look at this. Pretty cool actually, looks and plays just like a real 16 bit era Sonic game, they even did a very good job capturing the vibe of the Genesis Sonic games with the remastering of the 8 bit Sonic game music with the clapstack sounds in the music. I never would have guessed in a million years this was made with Gamemaker, which is a trash poorfag engine. Get your network of guys, learn drone maneuvers and stuff, learn how to defend against drones, and even better, you should have at least one guy if possible with explosives licenses or whatever and do actual stuff with dropping bombs from drones in a controlled practice environment if you can.

Think about it, for the longest time, if you were a conscript peasant fighting in battle as a footman infantry, and you found yourself up against a knight or even a wealthier man at arms, you were probably fucked. There was probably not much you could do in that situation that could even put a scratch on him, your best bet would have been to try to get away from him and hope he isn't locked onto you. Even if you were an archer in all but a few edge cases like a super lucky shot that landed in an armor gap, your arrow probably would harmlessly bounce off his armor.
We know all power ultimately drives from force, back then there was a clear gap in who was capable of wielding force.
Fast forward to probably the early 1600s (y'know around the time the "enlightenment" started). Firearms are both cheap enough and easy enough to use to equip peasants with, and now powerful enough to reliably penetrate a Knight's armor and shoot him dead on the spot. This was absolutely unthinkable before. Whether you're a powerful wealthy knight or a peasant, you're now sort of on equal footing, since a bullet that can be fired by any retard with a gun can kill both of you just as dead. Is it surprising given this that the "enlightenment" that emphasized equality and stuff like that happened?
Now here's the catch though, fast forward to today and this is now no longer the case again. It's now way easier for an infantry guy to get killed from miles or even hundreds of miles away with drones or artillery than it is for that same infantry guy to kill the person controlling that drone or that howitzer cannon, so the "enlightenment" paradigm is likely to break down again at some point just from this factor alone if my theory is right. | 278 |
