This right here is exactly what is wrong with modern Christian thinking. These worldly-minded people have this false modernist idea in their head that human nature changes over time, and that the traditional teachings of the church are just arbitrary rules set by a bunch of old white men who are all dead now. When you look at the denominations that think like this, can you really fault them?
No, human nature does not change over time, and if you really spend any amount of time exploring how society was then when those early church teachings were established and how it is today, you'll realize they really weren't that different from each other. Just looking around at how things are in the modern west it's really not hard to see that we need ancient wisdom more now than ever. | 392 |
