JUNE 18: HE CONVERTED THE BELIEVERS OF KRONOS Saint Calogero of Sicily Hermit Died: 486 --- He was an Italian hermit. The people fondly called him “the venerable old man.” He had an angelic vision or a celestial inspiration, which told him to evangelize Sicily. When he returned to the pope, he obtained the authorization to go to the island. He went there to free that people from demons and from the adoration of the pagan gods. He challenged the believers of the Greek god, Kronos and converted many of them to Christianity.

They were friends who loved biking. For their Catholic faith, the communists placed them in prison where they suffered greatly. Finger clamps were used to torture Drbola until his swollen fingers broke. Bula’s torture was severe, that he lost all his front teeth. Bula was hanged a year after Drbola’s hanging.
