Let's be reminded; Hydration is in how much water you retain, not how much you drink. Most of us drink 2 litres daily only to flash it out in the toilet. You drink water, after 30 minutes you are in the toilet. After an hour you are thirsty and the cycle repeats itself. Some have been forced to force their bodies to drink 8 glasses even when the body says NO! USE SALT. Add a pinch in every glass of water and see if you will wake up to urinate 4 times a night. You won't. Thank me later.

Who funds the FDA? Who funds medical research? Who is acknowledged in diabetes and hypertension guidelines in your country?

It is sad to think that the medical system is broken. It is not. When you start waking up, you realize that the system is perfect. It is intelligently designed to drain you gradually in ways you will not suspect. Scammers are sharp people. For someone to steal from you, he/she must make you dumb. Keep waking up. #HAWStotheworld

0% Cholesterol. Cholesterol free. Whenever you see these labels, RUN. As you cross the nearest river, wash your face and you will see revelations; + Why did I end up with a stroke when I have been using oils that have those labels? + Where did I get high cholesterol from when the things the doctor is telling you to avoid, you haven't been doing them ? You haven't been eating 8 eggs daily. You simply eat 2 per week. You haven't been eating fatty meats. You have been telling the butcher man to remove the fats. You haven't used any animal fats for cooking. You've been using the most clear and expensive one on the supermarket shelves. Where did the cholesterol come from daktari? Why did I end up with a stroke without eating foods rich in cholesterol? Why are you writing a statin to lower cholesterol when you told me to avoid cholesterol rich foods 4 months ago? I thought if I stop eating those foods, cholesterol levels will drop. Why are they still rising? It is at this moment that you will know you........ The I's have it.

Another cash cow; the old people. The less older people move, the more they can end up draining their pockets on prescriptions. You have to MOVE. + Leave the couch. + Leave the bed. + If you use a wheelchair, find safe ways to keep your body moving. Movement is part of maintaining strength, mobility, independence, and quality of life as you age. And if it hurts to move, don't simply accept the pain as part of getting older. Talk to us. We can help you understand the pain and work with you on safe ways to move, strengthen your body, and improve your mobility. Don't let age become an excuse to stop moving. Move what you can. If you don't use it, you lose it.

When you take a walk into a dialysis clinic, you will get the feeling of how the system takes advantage of people. People are served with the same foods that brought them there.SUGARS! These are people who have had the same doctor(s), attending to them for years. Prescribing medications and supplements for decades but still ended up on the machines. People with chronic conditions are a cash cow. When you are finally sent to India for the transplant, you have done it all. What you don't know is, some of the doctors will still get a 10 or 20 % commission on your cost of treatment in India for simply writing a referral letter. Let's just say, your health is not in the hospital. It is right there with you.

Go and ground today. Go and discharge that energy build-up to the earth. Most of us are so disconnected with the universe. Those shoes, sandals, slippers, socks, carpets and tiles block you from electron discharge. Take an hour or two to walk barefoot on grass, soil or sand. ....but.....but...doc... I am diabetic, I will be pricked...."I have sensitive feet, I will get hurt"..... Go and ground.

A lesson I picked from "The Lean Startup by Eric Ries". Don't spend a lot of money building something before you know whether people actually want it. When you are new in to the field, you will get many ideas. Y will become excited, rent an expensive space, buy lots of stock, print thousands of flyers and spend your savings only to discover later that the market wasn't interested. Business is not about proving that your idea is good; it is about finding out whether customers are willing to pay for it. It's about solving human problems and earning from that. + Start small. +Test the idea. + Listen to customers. + Make mistakes cheaply and learn quickly. If it works, improve and grow. If it doesn't, change direction, you are doing it for you not for validation. Test before you invest heavily. #BusinessMonday

Again, to those on a salary; Many of us make a budget based on the salary we earn: “I earn KSh 100,000, so my budget must fit within KSh 100,000.” But sometimes, your vision, your business, your investments, or your family's needs require a budget that is bigger than your current salary. There is nothing wrong with having a budget that exceeds your salary. The question becomes; how will you fund the budget? That may mean; + Increasing your income, possibly a pay rise. + Starting a business. But don't start one with the hope to eat the profit. + Taking on extra work, maybe overtime or another job. + Bringing in a partner or collaborating. + Working tirelessly to attract investors + Borrowing. Our parents often taught us to fear debt, as if all debt is bad. It isn't. Even governments borrow. The real question is not “Did you borrow?” but “What did you borrow for, and how will it help you generate or preserve value?” Borrowing to finance consumption you cannot afford is dangerous. But borrowing to fund a productive opportunity can be part of a sound financial strategy. Think about your bank account. You may have money sitting there, but if you need a loan, the bank doesn't simply hand you your money immediately. Your deposits are being used to finance other people's success stories as you get excited over figures in an account. Your money can be working for the bank while you are paying the bank to access money. That should make you think differently about money, debt, and financial planning. Ask yourself; + What is my budget? + What is it meant to accomplish, and + What are the different ways I can responsibly fund it? Your salary is one source of funding your budget. Don't shrink your vision to fit your salary. Write a budget and find more ways to fund it. Stop budgeting your salary. #BusinessMonday

As you "plan" to invest in a business, if at all you will, remember preparation should not be confused with procrastination. You keep telling yourself, “I need more information first.” So you keep reading, researching, watching videos and analyzing options until you feel completely ready. But most of the time, that is simply fear of wearing the gown of preparation. You will never have 100% certainty before you invest because risk will always exist. The smarter approach is; + Identify the risks + Understand how you can avoid or minimize them, and then, + Make a calculated decision. And when you are learning, make your learning directed. If you want to invest in shares, don't try to become a scholar of the entire stock market. Learn what you actually need to know: + What are the risks? + How do I manage them? + How much should I start with? + Should I invest all at once or gradually? Sometimes, starting small is wiser because you gain experience and confidence as you go. The goal isn't to know everything before you start. The goal is to know enough to start wisely, learn from experience, and keep improving. Preparation should reduce risk not become an excuse to avoid action. #BusinessMonday

I did recommend some books to read in our previous posts. Have you read any? Anyway, one powerful lesson from "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel is that doing well with money is more about how you behave than what you know about money. Two people can earn the same amount, but one builds wealth while the other remains broke because of their decisions. Have you heard the old saying, let your money ferment before you use it? How quick are you with decision making the moment you get the notification that your salary is here? In business, the above simply means you must learn to separate emotion from financial decisions. Don't spend money simply because the business is making money. Don't hire someone because they are your friend. Don't keep a failing investment because you are emotionally attached to it. Numbers don't have feelings. As a business owner, you have to learn to ask uncomfortable questions: Can we afford it? What is the return? What happens if things go wrong? Discipline is knowing when to say no, even when you can afford to say yes. Don't let your emotions make financial decisions that your numbers should make. #BusinessMonday

One of the biggest lessons from The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber is this: “If your business depends on you, you don't own a business, you have a job.” That people start businesses because they are good at what they do. But being a good engineer, mechanic, baker, doctor, or designer doesn't automatically mean you know how to run a business. If everything depends on you, from serving customers to buying stock, handling money and making every decision; you haven't really built a business; you've simply created another job for yourself. The goal is therefore to build systems, not dependence. Your business should eventually be able to function even when you are not there. + Train people + Document processes + Delegate responsibilities and + Create structures that allow the business to operate without your constant presence. Most people will not train others because of the fear of their ideas being stolen and their business too. But in this game, competition is healthy. Collaborations are even better. This is why business is not for everyone. #BusinessMonday

For those on a monthly salary, here are some nuggets. Let's say your salary is 100,000. 1. 100,000 ×300=30,000,000 This is the amount of money you need invested to replace your income. 2. 100,000×0.2= 20,000 The amount of money you should be investing monthly. This will be a cushion for later. 3. 100,000×6=600,000 This should be your emergency fund. You remember sometimes back I asked you, if you lost your job today, how long can you survive on your savings living and maintaining the same lifestyle? This is what is used to cushion you for at least 6 months if anything goes wrong. 4. 100,000×0.5=50,000. Basically half of your salary should go to necessities. Rent, water, electricity, WiFi, food, transport and daily livelihoods. How many of us have embraced this already?🖐️ #BusinessMonday
