In the practice of Celibacy, what is wanted is the elimination of lust, but not suppression. Suppression of sexual desire is not eradication. You can never be free of that which is suppressed. Suppressed sexual desire will attack you again and again and may produce sexual dreams, irritability, and restlessness of mind. Sexual energy must be transmuted into higher energy through the practice of mantra repetition, prayer, meditation, the study of sacred books, breathing exercises, and yoga postures. You must develop devotion and a burning desire for liberation. You must constantly meditate on the pure, immortal, sexless, bodiless, desireless True Self. Then only will sexual desire be annihilated.

Spiritual reading: Read uplifting books daily to keep your mind strong. 11. No addictions: Cut all harmful habits completely. 12. Fix digestion: Keep bowels clear. Constipation can increase urges. 13. Genital hygiene: Stay clean, especially after urination and bathing. 14. Breath control: Practice pranayama for mental control and energy. 15.
