one of the more interesting things i saw on the internet today was vrilliam’s vexation over beardson’s use of the word “we.” yes, “we.” human beings operate in tribes. you, on the other hand, are just a free agent, a rootless uncommitted mercenary willing to say anything for a crumb of clout. and that’s very off-putting for people. there is a natural instinct humans have when evaluating people: “can i count on this guy when im down or will he be looking for some utilitarian transaction in return?” that’s why frats have value. that’s why sports teams have value. that’s why neighborhoods, churches, racial groups and even nations have value. we refer to ourselves as “we.” we aren’t a hive mind. we constantly fight like cats, but the loyal ones of us who have got each other’s backs no matter what are a “we.” that’s something vrilliam will never understand because he’s like the dylan mullvaney of politics. a spectacle for sure, but after the stream he cries into a bowl of cold cereal and milk because he doesn’t belong anywhere.

one thing that drives me nuts about streaming apps now is when you reopen the app, it should immediately pick up where you stopped…or say “continue where you left off!” very clearly at the top of the screen. instead it’s like some huge promotional hero bilboard about a bullshit show no gaf about then like 3 additional rails of “personalized content” and another “picked for you” and another today’s movies!” then FINALLY you get to the “continue watching if you must…” section. YES ACTUALLY YOU MORMONS THATS WHY IM HERE
