| 15 | [LAW GAZETTE STUDENT FEATURE ARTICLES]
Lexicon is pleased to share that the Singapore Law Gazette is (still) calling for student contributions.
Your piece will be published as a feature article on the Law Gazette website (see below). Publishing in the Law Gazette is an especially great opportunity for those who want to be featured in a prominent legal publication and to engage with current legal issues, but do not wish to write a full length journal article.
What You Need to Know:
Topics: Open to any substantive legal issues. You may refer to past articles for inspiration here: Law Gazette Feature Articles. Articles should offer analytical and practical insights rather than purely academic discussions.
Word Limit: Up to 3,000 words.
Timeline: The Law Gazette publishes 2-3 features per month, usually at the end of the month. When exactly your piece will be published depends how quickly your piece makes it through the editorial process, as well as whether there are articles queued for publication before yours.
Review Process: Articles will be reviewed by Lexicon, SMU faculty and/or the Law Gazette editorial team.
How to Get Involved:
If you are interested in contributing, please send an email to lexicon@sa.smu.edu.sg, providing your name, year of study, and any topic ideas you wish to explore. We will ask for a brief one-page outline of your article, which will be reviewed by Lexicon and/or the Law Gazette team before you proceed with the full submission.
We look forward to your contributions and are happy to address any queries you may have. You may contact our Editors-in-Chief if you have any questions:
