Withers is inviting first-year law students based in Singapore to apply for its WithUs Mentorship Programme 2027!
The programme pairs mentees with experienced lawyers from Withers and includes:
• Monthly one-on-one mentoring sessions
• Workshops on career guidance, skill-building and professional development
• Potential priority consideration for interviews for Withers' Summer Internship Programme

| 4 | [THE BAR 20TH MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ELECTIONS - VOTING RESULTS]
The results for the 20th Management Committee Elections are in!
A total of 333 students took part in the voting process, accounting for a total of 1,659 votes cast for the 12 election candidates.
Each student could cast votes for a maximum of 9 out of the 12 candidates.
Pursuant to Art 10.3(i) of The Bar’s Constitution, each candidate had to meet a threshold requirement of 35% of the total votes casted in order to be successfully elected into office.
As 10 candidates successfully reached this Minimum threshold, pursuant to article 10.3(j) of The Bar's Constitution, only the top 9 candidates will be successfully elected into office.
The vote-counting process took place on Friday (25 September).
The Bar is pleased to announce that 9 candidates are successfully elected into the 20th Management Committee. The breakdown of votes per candidate are as follows:
Vera Ang Jer Han - 185 (56%)
Jarryl Tay Li Herng - 162 (49%)
Anthea Heng Yun Ting - 155 (47%)
Mohamed Fazlur Rahman - 152 (46%)
Law Ming Yuan - 152 (46%)
Sriram Palaniappan - 151 (45%)
Ang Jia Jun Josiah - 145 (44%)
Jayden Fong Yi Sheng - 132 (40%)
Sim Le Jia - 129 (39%)
The candidates will proceed to Internal Elections by Saturday, 3rd October 2026, where they will determine their respective positions in the 20th Management Committee of The Bar, SMU Law Society.

The walls have routes for everyone, from absolute beginners to seasoned climbers. It’s all about having fun and trying something new :-))
