#bluesrockmix Vol. 136 A new edition of the Blues Rock Mix was released today. It features the standard 50 tracks, but the mix turned out to be quite long due to the inclusion of several extended tracks. More than half of the tracks clock in at over five and a half minutes each, mostly thanks to psychedelic and soulful blues-rock. This is the final installment in a series of 10 mixes. Starting this August, we’re launching a new batch of mixes, from issues 127 through 136. Fifty tracks totaling five hours of your precious time. It’s already available on the 50 Shades of Blues Rock website. Sixteen handpicked tracks will show up in awhile on the Blues Rock Charts telegram media channel. Let’s go, folks! You can never have too much blues.

@bluezrock (Blues Rock) is a Telegram channel dedicated to contemporary and classic blues-rock music. It serves as a community hub for fans, striving to create an atmosphere reminiscent of a "smoky bar with good sound." It has been around since early 2020, although it was created a year earlier.
What we do: We regularly share new music, including playlists (e.g., #bluesrockmix), which often contain 50 songs spanning several hours.
We publish carefully curated "top 100" charts based on or related to listening trends on our website (bluesrock.top). We also highlight new albums, often focusing on monthly releases or special "5-star" collections.
The channel features photos, videos, and links to audio recordings. We also feature themed posts, such as "Female Rockstars" or reviews of specific artists (#outstanding).
The Blues Rock Charts channel (added in November 2024) operates as the official media subchannel for the main @bluezrock community. We use it for short music reviews, primarily for Eastern European countries. While the main @bluezrock channel and our website, 50 Shades of Blues Rock, feature massive playlists (often 50 to 100 tracks or more), we use the Blues Rock Charts channel to publish smaller, curated selections. For example, we publish the top 10 or 16 tracks as a short overview. The Charts channel is also used to host thematic subseries, such as our weekly audio broadcasts. If you want to quickly find specific songs without scrolling through hours of audio on the main channel, the Charts subchannel is where we curate the very best tracks.
While the exact internal analytics tables for the @bluezrock Telegram channel and the bluesrock.top website are confidential, our audience demographics reflect standard data for the broader blues rock genre and the global Telegram user base.
The typical target consumer is broken down by several key demographic characteristics:
Age (Adults and Mature Listeners): The audience primarily consists of people aged 35 to 55 years and older. While classic blues rock naturally appeals to an older, nostalgic audience (40+), Telegram's choice of a primary platform appeals to tech-savvy young people (25-35) who actively seek out contemporary guitar-driven music.
Gender Ratio: The demographic makeup is predominantly male, averaging approximately 60% male and 40% female. This ratio aligns with traditional rock music fanbases, as well as the target topics of our channels, such as our themed collections.
Countries and Geography (Telegram Channels): Significant presence in Europe.
Eastern Europe and the CIS region. Since Telegram is the primary app for daily messaging and media content in countries like Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, a large portion of the @bluezrock channel's audience comes from these countries.
Western Europe. The bluesrock.top website receives significant organic traffic from regions with large blues rock fan bases, particularly France, Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands.
North America: (bluesrock.top) The primary traffic comes from the United States and Canada, the historical birthplace and largest market for this genre. Asia: Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. There are also many visitors from Australia.
In terms of time spent on our publications since their inception, Ukraine has undoubtedly led the way. The average time spent on the site is over one and a half hours. The US follows far behind with around 53 minutes and the UK with around 42 minutes. In Russia, the average hang time is 21 minutes.

#50shadesofbluesrock 50 Shades of Blues Rock has been around since November 2017. Our project peaked in 2021, when 12 channels were streaming on our website. Thereafter, we consolidated through mergers. The Heavy Blues Rock channel joined forces with the Guitar Blues Rock channel, though their playlists remained separate. The Soulful Blues Rock channel merged with the Slow Blues Rock one, likewise with two independent playlists. The Neo-Blues-Rock channel was phased out in 2021 as part of the “50 Shades of Blues-Rock” project, as the neo-blues-rock era (essentially avant-garde) had run its cycle and neo-blues-rock had come to be perceived as the standard blues-rock of our time. But there’s a catch. And that’s the ’90s.
By the 21st year, due to our specific focus on contemporary blues-rock only, we stopped playing ’90s blues-rock, shifting the definition of contemporary blues-rock to the 2000s–2020s. In 2023, there was a massive influx of English-speaking audiences from Generation X (1965–1978) and a hybrid mix of Generations Y and Z, 1994–2006. The demand was strong, and starting in 2023, we launched two new projects as part of our Archive Blues Rock and Slow Blues Rock series: Blues Rock 90's (10 episodes released, each with 50 tracks, plus 2 episodes of 90s slow blues), and starting in 2025, 90s slow blues has become a permanent fixture on the Slow Blues Rock channel.
Today we are launching a new channel - Blues Rock 1980–1999. We’re not entirely sure if we’ll be posting tracks from the ’80s there. Ninety percent of the material will likely be from the ’90s. At the same time, we’ve relieved the load on the “Blues Rock 2000–2025” and the “Slow Blues Rock” channels, which are now fully focused on hits from the last quarter of our century. Welcome to the ’90s! After all, this is our era, too!

#albumbluesrock Vol.22/2026 Today we continue reviewing anniversary editions from 30 years ago. We'll reminisce about the youthful '80s and listen to newly minted releases. We'll look back at the COVID-19 2020 and recall the now distant guitar year of 2014. A very busy agenda is expected.
Foreigner - 4 (1981) This is the iconic fourth studio album by the British-American hard rock band Foreigner, released on July 3, 1981, by Atlantic Records. The album became the band's most commercially successful release, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart and holding the top spot for 10 weeks. In the US, the album has been certified six-times platinum. More fact and music on our website. Best Cuts on Blues Rock Charts tg app soon.

#bluesrock 2002. Funk and blues-rock were closely linked in 2002, thanks to their shared roots in African-American music and the major "retro" movement. Early rock pioneers directly borrowed the blues scale and syncopated rhythms. By 2002, bands were naturally blending these percussive funk rhythms with the hard, guitar-driven blues. More reading and listening on our website. Top 10 will be available soon on our Blues Rock Charts telegram app.

#bluesrock 2016 Vol.5 (WBR). Today we have our fifth review of blues rock from the past decade, and it's dedicated to the women of blues rock. 2016 was a pivotal and significant period for women in blues rock, marked by a powerful combination of rising young virtuoso guitarists and genre veterans pushing the boundaries.
What made 2016 unique for women in blues-rock was the fundamental shift in power, sound, and visibility. It was the year when female artists ceased to be treated as a "subgenre" or a curiosity, and instead became dominant innovators, driving the entire blues-rock movement forward. The sound of female-fronted blues-rock in 2016 became significantly heavier. Influenced by 1970s stadium rock, female artists infused traditional blues structures with a powerful dose of distortion, aggressive riffs, and dark rhythm sections. In 2016, women abandoned the traditional 12-bar blues formula to create incredibly ambitious, boundary-pushing records.
