🇹🇩 The story of Akhmat Mahamat Abderaman, a student of the Faculty of General Medicine from the Republic of Chad, is proof of how a childhood dream can take you to the other side of the world. From an early age, Akhmat was familiar with the medical field: at first he was afraid of hospital corridors, smells, and others’ pain, but watching healthcare workers, the boy firmly decided: “I will also become a doctor and help people.” 🤔After finishing school, Akhmat faced a difficult choice: where to continue his studies? And he chose Russia. His mother did not want to let her son go to a country where, in her imagination, it is freezing cold all year round. But the future doctor was determined.

Even before moving, Akhmat started taking online Russian language lessons. But it was in Ufa, thanks to the teachers of BSMU, that the young man not only started speaking but mastered Russian at a very high level!

In addition to studying at BSMU, Akhmat actively participates in public life: 📹He is a member of the international student media center

Internal Olympiad “Pathophysiologist‑2026” for international students 🩺🧠 The second (main) round of the student Olympiad in Pathological Physiology was held for international students, conducted in English. 📌 Round I (qualifying) – June 3, 2026 at the BSMU Federal Accreditation Center. 👥 120 third‑year General Medicine students took part. ✅ 19 advanced to the next round. 🔬 Round II (main) – two stages: 1️⃣ Clinical cases – 11 situational tasks. Top 10 finalists showed brilliant knowledge of disease mechanisms and clinical thinking. 2️⃣ Quiz – deep questions on immunopathology, oncology, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine systems, and more.

On May 29, 2026, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Prospects for the Development of Medical and Social Science and Education in Tajikistan” was held in Dushanbe. The scientific-culinary program “Living Food” featured a new Russian test system for identifying the “slimness bacteria.” 🤩The research is conducted at the Human Microbiome Laboratory of BSMU as part of the Priority 2030 development program. Russia's New Digital Entry Rules for Visa‑Free Travelers

Starting June 30, 2025, Russia launched the experimental digital entry system for visa‑free foreign nationals. Travelers must register in the ruID app, upload a facial photo, passport image, and voice recording. The entry application must be submitted 72 hours to 90 days before travel. Each trip requires a new facial photo linked to existing biometrics.

Those with valid Russian biometrics can apply via Gosuslugi using video/audio verification. Exemptions: children under 6, diplomats, and some international staff. The digital profile will be fully established by June 30, 2026.

📚 Pushkin, Science, and the Dialogue of Cultures June 6 is a special date. On Russian Language Day and the birthday of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication held a student research competition titled "Language, Culture and Professional Communication." International students proved that the great poet’s legacy knows no boundaries – neither in time nor in space.

The students presented a wide range of research: ✔️ Pushkin and medicine: the poet’s legacy as a source for studying 19th‑century clinical cases. ✔️ A view from India: Pushkin’s fairy tales and their significance for Russian culture, as well as Indian motifs in Pushkin’s works. ✔️ Pushkin’s verses in Arabic: the nuances of translating poetry. ✔️ As well as research on professional language.

On June 1, 2026, the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication, in collaboration with the Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology, organized the student conference “At the Intersection of Sciences: Linguistic Support of Urological Practice.” The conference brought together students and academic staff to explore the interaction between medical science and linguistics. Presentations covered a wide range of topics, including “Implementation of Urological Terminology in Russian and French,” “Urological Terminology in the Context of Russian–Arabic Bilingualism: Semantics and Adaptation,” “The Urological Thesaurus: A Comparative Analysis of Russian and Uzbek Terminological Systems,” and “Russian–Turkmen Parallels in Dental Vocabulary: A Structural and Semantic Approach.”

The delegation included Associate Professor Guzel Maratovna Abdullina, Said Chegini Mohamed (Iran), Om Kumar Sahu (India), Mangklukeni Robert Ndatyoole (Namibia), and Rossain Asmaa (Morocco). The forum began with a warm welcome address by Sechenov University’s Rector, Prof. Pyotr Vitalievich Glybochko.

Later, Mangklukeni Robert Ndatyoole presented at the Young Scientists Competition, while Prof. Abdullina served as an expert judge on the competition panel.
