Refusing everyday bribery — even in small situations — and being ready to report violations helps build trust and fairness 🤝. Honest choices may seem minor, but they create a culture where corruption has less room to grow. "Food is a language everyone understands."

International students at BSMU are sure: to make friends, you don’t have to speak the same language. It’s enough to gather everyone around one table. Our students became part of the culinary project “National Dishes,” where international students from universities of Bashkortostan shared recipes from their home countries.

We’re sharing the main “tasty” moments: 🇮🇳 Indian dessert “Kheer”

BSMU students Fauzia and Vipashyana treated everyone to a national Indian dish. The secret of this dessert is simple but requires patience: rice is slowly simmered in milk with sugar, turning into a delicate cream, and topped with nuts and spices. In India, kheer is a must-have at weddings and major holidays.

Four days of a powerful start to a long journey!

The off-site intensive course for student activists and university staff as part of the "Personal Code – Country Code: From Motivation to Action" project has concluded.

We were especially proud to have Oyatullo Ismoilov, Deputy Dean for International Students at BSMU, participate in the intensive course. A total of 40 student activists and 16 youth policy specialists from universities in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Under the guidance of professional psychologists, the teams accomplished a tremendous amount of work:

- Delving into diagnostics and exploring their motivation through the lens of "10 Facets of Patriotism"; - Identifying personal barriers that prevent students from being proactive; - Undertaken a foresight session and productive focus group work; - Formulating initial hypotheses and compiling a list of preliminary hypotheses for field research.

🌍A major event is currently taking place in Moscow — the "Russia — Africa" summit, which has brought together representatives from 48 countries across the continent. The delegation from #БГМУМинздраваРоссии is working at the forum venue, and there are already significant initial results.

Key points ✅ On the sidelines of the summit, the University's delegation held talks with the Minister of Health of Zanzibar, Nassor Ahmed Mazrui. The Minister highly praised BSMU's potential and expressed interest in supporting joint educational and scientific initiatives. This is an important step in strengthening our university's standing on the international stage!

Why is this important? 📍BSMU is consistently expanding its presence in Africa. Today, our university is home to 245 students from 25 African countries. 📍Previously, we signed an agreement with a Nigerian university and continue to build long-term partnerships.

We are following the events and continuing our work! #ВокругСветасБГМУ

A memorial plaque has been unveiled at BSMU in honor of Nikolai Illarionovich Churbanov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and the first head of the Department of Histology.

The grand unveiling ceremony was attended by the University's leadership, invited guests, and Nikolai Illarionovich's family: his granddaughter and great-granddaughter.

✨ More than three years ago, during renovation work in one of the University's buildings, a memorial plaque dedicated to Nikolai Illarionovich Churbanov was discovered. For our students, it became more than just an artifact — it marked the start of a real investigation. The students delved into the archives and found the professor's granddaughter — Vera Yuryevna Pervushina.

"It has always been our dream to see our grandfather's memorial plaque. So today is an emotional day — our dream has finally come true. We have revived the memory of our grandfather, a professor and a scientist. Our enormous gratitude and deepest respect go to everyone involved and to all those who cared," shared Vera Yuryevna.

In gratitude, the family of Nikolai Illarionovich Churbanov donated the professor's working microscope, which is over 100 years old, to the Museum of the Department of Histology at BSMU 🔬
