🇺🇸 71-year-old woman dies after police shootout outside #Florida Police Department.
Linda Jean Croteau entered the lobby of the Port Orange Police Department at 4545 Clyde Morris Blvd. holding a handgun. She spoke with civilian staff in the records section, pointed the weapon at employees, and fired one round toward an area where staff were present. No employees or officers were injured.
Responding officers issued repeated commands to drop the weapon. Three officers fired several rounds. They immediately provided aid. Croteau was transported to a hospital, where she died Sept. 4. The circumstances are being clarified.

Mickey Johnson was tracked down while attempting to leave the city and later pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Police said he attributed his actions to frustration over noise in the library and referred to his mental health. He is due to be sentenced on October 21.
The key detail is that the two men had no previous interaction, meaning the victim was targeted despite having no apparent involvement in the situation.

Except it wasn't a bat, it was a large stick, snapped off at one end, leaving a thick, sharp point and jagged edges. She was going after the workers with it.
Witnesses say the woman was furious that they didn't make her burger fast enough.

The man, who has not been named, was lured to a house in Market Rasen, #Lincolnshire, on 4 July 2025 over “personal matters linked to a past relationship breakdown”. Once he was inside, five people made sure he could not leave. They assaulted him repeatedly, humiliated him and recorded the abuse on their phones while laughing.

Five people involved in the kidnapping have now been sentenced, with two receiving nine-year prison terms. All five were given indefinite restraining orders keeping them away from the victim and his family.
