What if being a missionary doesn’t mean going far, but learning to love the people God has already placed in our lives? When we hear the word missionary, we might picture someone travelling to a faraway country to share the Gospel. But mission can begin right where we are, in the patience we show our families, the kindness we offer strangers, and the time we give to someone who feels alone. Through these everyday moments, we can help others encounter Christ’s love.
This World Mission Sunday, let us remember that we don’t have to do something extraordinary to make a difference. God can work through even the smallest acts of love when we offer them with an open heart. Through our prayers, generosity and the way we live each day, we can bring hope to others and make His love known. We are all called to be missionaries, right where God has placed us. 🙏

Sometimes, we may find ourselves praying the Rosary while our minds wander, wondering if we’re simply repeating the same words over and over. But the Rosary is more than a series of prayers. It’s an invitation to walk with Jesus through His life, death and Resurrection, with Mary gently leading us closer to her Son. In each mystery, we may even find pieces of our own stories: our joys, our struggles, our waiting and our longing for God.
As we pray the Rosary, let us bring everything to Jesus: the worries we carry, the people we love and the prayers we’re still waiting to see answered. May we also remember Pope Leo XIV and all those who are unwell in our prayers, asking Our Lady to intercede for them and bring them comfort, strength and healing. 🙏

The Catholic Hub is taking shape! 🏗️✨
Following the Topping Out Ceremony in 2025, construction has continued steadily, with work progressing on the façade and spaces such as the multi-purpose hall, Marian grotto and rosary courtyard.
We give thanks to God for His providence and for all who have supported the project through their prayers, generosity and encouragement.

For those of you preparing for your O-Level exams, deadlines can pile up and late nights can turn into endless cramming. It’s easy to put prayer on hold or skip Mass because there’s just too much to do. But perhaps these are the very moments we need Him most. Even a few minutes of quiet prayer can remind us that we don’t have to figure everything out on our own.
Study hard, give it your best and remember to rest, too. But don’t let your grades define your worth. You are loved by God, not because of what you achieve, but simply because you are His. So take a breath, keep going and let Him walk with you through this season. You don’t have to carry it all alone. 🙏

Pope Leo XIV reminds us that the mission of the Church is "a mission born of love, lived in love, and leading to love".
We are called not only to speak about God’s love, but to let that love shape the way we live - in our homes, our workplaces, our friendships and our encounters with people who may be very different from us.
Sometimes, this means finding the courage, time or space to speak about Jesus. Sometimes, this means listening, serving, or simply being present to someone who needs us. Sometimes, this means offering love and forgiveness even when we don't feel like it.
And our mission extends beyond the people we meet personally. Through our prayers and practical support, we also stand with missionaries who bring the Gospel to communities around the world, especially those most in need.
Wherever we are, and whatever our circumstances, we can help make Christ’s love known.

St Joseph never says a word in Scripture.
Yet through the way he listened, acted, protected, worked and gave himself, he shows us something powerful about what it means to be a man.

Have you ever worried so much about doing something wrong that you find yourself questioning every little thing? What if I’ve offended God without realising it? What if my intentions weren’t pure enough? This can be a form of 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 — when our desire to avoid sin becomes so intense that we begin to see sin where there may be none, leaving us caught in a cycle of fear, doubt and overthinking.
But 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠. He invites us into a relationship rooted in love, trust and freedom. Love is easy when things go our way. But what happens when loving someone asks us to put our own wants aside? Sometimes, sacrificial love looks like giving up our time, choosing patience when we feel frustrated, or putting aside our pride to make peace. These small moments reveal something beautiful about the way we love.
Jesus showed us the true meaning of sacrificial love when He gave His life for us on the Cross. His example reminds us that love is not simply about how we feel or what we receive, but how we choose to give of ourselves for the good of another.
Perhaps we can pause and ask ourselves: “𝐀𝐦 𝐈 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬?” Loving someone sacrificially doesn't mean neglecting ourselves. As we begin a new week, may these words of St Teresa of Ávila remind us to remain anchored in the Lord, no matter what the days ahead may bring. There may be moments when we feel overwhelmed, uncertain or afraid, but we do not have to face them alone.
When life feels difficult, take a moment to turn to God in prayer. Call upon Him in the moments when you feel challenged, weary or alone, and trust that even when everything around us changes, God remains constant.
May we learn to be patient in the waiting, courageous in the uncertainty and peaceful in the knowledge that He is always with us. 🙏🏼

Sometimes, we don’t intentionally turn away from God. We simply get busy. Work needs our attention, responsibilities pile up, our phones keep us occupied, and there is always something else to do. Before we realise it, our days become so full that there is little room left for God.
In the Parable of the Wedding Feast, the invited guests had their own farms and businesses to attend to. Their lives were full, but somewhere along the way, they became too occupied to accept the king’s invitation. Perhaps it invites us to ask ourselves: 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞?
Work, family, friendships and our daily responsibilities are all good things. But even good things can take up so much space that we forget what matters most. May we learn to make room for God again, not only in our prayers and Sundays, but in the ordinary rhythm of our everyday lives.
