ሴት ልጅ ማሳደግ የቸገረበት ኮሬ ዞን
በደቡብ ኢትዮጵያ ክልል ኮሬ ዞን እጅግ በተባባሰው ለአቅመ ሄዋን ያልደረሱ ልጆች ጠለፋ ምክንያት ቤተሰብ ልጆቹን ትምህርት ቤት እንዳይሄዱ እየከለከለ ነው።
በዞኑ በ2015 ብቻ ከአንድ ቀበሌ 15 በዚህ አመት 7 ወራት ደግሞ ከሦስት ቀበሌዎች 10 ህፃናት እና ልጃገረዶች ከትምህርት ቤታቸው ደጃፍ፣ ከመንገድ ላይ፣ ባስ ሲልም ከመኖሪያ ቤታቸው ተጠልፈው ተወስደዋል።
ነገሩን የከፋ ሚያረገው ደግሞ አንድ ግዜ ጠለፋው ከተከናወነ በዃላ"ሽምግሌ" የሚባሉ የወንጀለኛ ተባባሪዎችን በመላክ ቤተሰቦች ነገሩን እንዲቀበሉ ማግባባት እየተለምደ መምጣቱ ነው።
"ሽምግልናውን" እምቢ ብለው ወደ ክስ ያመሩ ቤተሰቦችም በእርግጥ የሚጠብቃቸው "በሽማግሌ ጨርሱ" አይነት ምክር፣ሲብስም "እራሳችሁ ፈልጓት " የሚል መልስ እንጂ ወንጀለኞቹንም ለህግ የሚያቀርብም ሆነ ተባባሪ ሽማግሌዎችንም ይዞ የሚመረምርም የፍትህ አካል የለም።
ጉዳዩን ሪፖርት ለማድረግ በሚሞክሩ ዜጎች ላይም የዞኑ ገፅታ እንዳይበላሽ በሚል ተፅእኖ ስለሚደረግባቸው ችግሩ ካምናው ዘንድሮ እጅግ ተባብሷል።

We are thrilled to announce the formalization of our partnerships with Mizan Young Lawyers Center (MYLC) and Talita Rise Up, through the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). The MoUs formalize our joint commitment to addressing prevalent issues of gender-based violence (GBV) and women's rights violations in the Sidama Region. These collaborations mark a milestones in our collective efforts to combat GBV and uphold women's rights in the Sidama Region.
We're excited to announce our Project Kickoff in the Sidama Region that started with Key Stakeholders Consultative Dialogue event, 'Uniting for Respect, Empowerment, Equality, and GBV-Free Communities, at Lewi Piassa Hotel, Hawassa, on Thursday, April 18th, 2024. Representatives from various sectors, including governmental institutions, one-stop center, youth group, disability organization, media women’s group, and student group gathered to address the root causes of challenges facing women, as well as preventive and responsive measures. Discussions focused on systemic factors contributing to gender-based violence (GBV) and inequality, with a shared commitment to fostering inclusive and safe communities. The event showcased promising collaborations, emphasizing inclusiveness and collective action. We are grateful for AFD (Agence Française de Développement’s) financial support, we look forward to implementing this crucial project.
