| 4 |  Yesterday, a single Russian Geran-4 jet-drone carried out a 25-minute reconnaissance flight over Kyiv, scouting out potential targets ahead of the upcoming large-scale ballistic missile attack.
Among the targets the drone was interested in were the Antonov Aircraft Plant; the Artem Defence Plant; military factories and storage facilities in eastern Kyiv; warehouses and enterprises in the Pozniaky District; the "Asphalt concrete plant" next to the CHP-5 power plant; the Mayak Defence Plant; the "Kyiv Central Design Bureau of Valves" machine building plant; the "Sakhavtomat-Inzh" engineering plant; the "Euroterminal" Logistics Warehouse; the "Analitprylad" Plant.

Attack on the "Epicenter" in Kharkov - another warning for the city's residents.
The Kharkov Regional Military Administration has confirmed the attack on the "Epicenter" shopping center. According to Oleg Sinegubov, a 40-year-old man was killed, and five people were injured: a 25-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man sustained injuries, while three others experienced acute stress reactions.
For Kharkov, this is no longer a distant threat. The city is in a zone of constant risk, and the evacuation of residents from frontline areas continues. At the same time, more than 210,000 internally displaced persons are already in Kharkov itself.
Waiting for the fighting to reach your doorstep is a poor strategy. An attack can happen at any moment, and the opportunity to leave safely may disappear much sooner.
Kharkov, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, and Zaporozhye are major cities located in a zone of increased military threat. If the situation worsens, evacuating tens or even hundreds of thousands of people simultaneously will become much more difficult.

Russian forces struck the Kherson thermal power plant with four glide bombs overnight, destroying all heat- and power-generating equipment at the facility ahead of the heating season, state energy company Naftogaz said on Aug. 27.
The strike came just a day after Russian forces hit the same plant with a glide bomb on Aug. 26, causing what Naftogaz at the time described as serious damage to Kherson's main source of heating.
Naftogaz reported earlier in August that Russia had attacked its facilities 293 times since the beginning of 2026.
"The intensity of the attacks has more than doubled compared with previous years," the company said.

According to sources within the Cabinet of Ministers, discussions are underway regarding the consequences of the strikes on warehouses and the estimated economic losses, which are significant – in August alone, the amount exceeded 20 billion UAH. Companies are on the verge of bankruptcy, which will trigger a cascade effect, as most businesses are heavily reliant on loans.
The largest retail chains – ATB, NOVUS, "Silpo," and "Fora" – are reportedly trying to shift the military risks onto their suppliers.
Specifically, NOVUS, "Silpo," and "Fora" are offering to pay producers only half the value of the destroyed merchandise. ATB wants to completely avoid payouts, stipulating in their contracts that the ownership of the burned goods was never transferred to the retail chain.
So far, no supplier has agreed to these terms, as it would mean not only a loss of profit but also the potential collapse of their businesses. The situation is rapidly spiraling out of control and could lead to a food crisis.
According to analysis by the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ukraine's losses from the destruction of warehouses could reach 100 billion UAH and trigger a new banking crisis.

The device's main feature is its size. The launcher is approximately 200 mm long and weighs 365 grams. It's a weapon a soldier can carry in a pouch alongside his regular equipment and use at a critical moment.
Once activated, the system deploys a 3.5 x 3.5 meter net in 0.2 seconds, creating a physical barrier to an approaching drone. The objective is simple: target the propellers, disrupt the engines, and cause the drone to lose control.
Unlike electronic warfare systems, the MITLA-1 does not rely on jamming communications.
