There are so many AMCs, it's hard for new investors to choose one.
Thumb Rule - If you're going for an actively managed mutual fund, choose either A or B.
A) Founder-led AMC like PPFAS, quant etc.
B) Established big AMCs like HDFC, Nippon etc. with long track record.

| 7 |  I have a feeling that jobs (money) are shifting from software to hardware, AI is accelerating it.
Peter Thiel would say from 'bits' to 'atoms'.
Hardware-related jobs will increase in future. Knowledge of wiring, circuits, chemicals etc. will be much more valued than it is today.
Passing out with a BTech degree & knowing basics of Java or Python may earn you what plumbers were earning a few years ago.

| 9 |  At this point, personally I feel Nifty 500 is a better representation of India than Nifty 50.
🇮🇳 India's market performance can't really be judged by only 50 giant cap companies, there are many exciting startup listing & new companies coming up too.
Even if Nifty 50 & 500 had similar performance, still 500 would be a better representation.

| 13 |  WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund has filed papers with SEBI for a Dividend Yield Fund. Benchmark is BSE 500.
Last dividend yield fund was filed a year ago on July 29, 2025 by Kotak.
Will be interesting to see how WhiteOak runs this scheme, as we have seen these funds from other AMCs deviate away from dividend stocks to generate more returns as dividend stocks aren't generally good at capital gains.
