⚡️ Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation: Following an application by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, Baltic nationalists have been recognised by a court as accomplices of Nazi Germany in war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War – a finding of legal significance. Recognition of this fact is not only an evident conclusion stemming from the principal legal findings of the Nuremberg Trials, but also a historical duty that society and the state owe to those who fought in the war, its veterans and its victims. ⚖️ It has been established that the Nazi invaders committed atrocities with the direct involvement of their accomplices – Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian nationalists (13 individuals and five organisations). According to records from the archives of Russia’s Federal Security Service, Foreign Ministry and Defence Ministry, as well as the State Archive of the Russian Federation, following Germany’s attack on the USSR, the Nazis recruited Baltic nationalists from among local residents to do their “dirty work” in the occupied territories. They carried out punitive operations against civilians and Soviet POWs. Through their actions, the territories of the Baltic countries – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia – became killing grounds during the Great Patriotic War for POWs, Soviet officials and their families, and people suspected of sympathising with the Red Army. ▪️ In total, Baltic collaborators killed more than 1.5 million people during the war and the post-war years. *** Since the early 1990s, the authorities of today’s Baltic countries have pursued a deliberate state policy of distorting the USSR’s role in the Great Patriotic War and its Victory over Nazism. Collaborators associated with Nazi criminals, along with their organisations, are being glorified. This contradicts the Verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal regarding responsibility for the Second World War, its causes and its outcomes, as well as the provisions of the UN General Assembly resolution “Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance”. In effect, it serves to justify Nazi crimes. ❗️ Countering these destructive trends is fundamental to preserving historical memory, preventing the falsification of history and protecting the national interests of the Russian Federation.

☢️ Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (#ZNPP): ⚡️ On October 5, Laboratory and amenity building No. 2 at the Zaporozhskaya NPP was attacked by two Ukrainian UAVs. The building is located approximately 200 metres from reactor units 4 and 5. Two further Ukrainian UAV attacks targeted the radioactive waste processing building. There were no casualties. The roof was damaged. These attacks have posed no threat to nuclear safety. ❗️ Strikes on such facilities are potentially dangerous. The proximity of the laboratory and amenity building to the reactor units creates a risk of damage to nearby infrastructure and puts personnel at risk. Attacks on the radioactive waste processing building could damage equipment and disrupt the safe handling of radioactive materials. Plant personnel remain in control of the situation. Safety parameters are monitored around the clock. Radiation levels at the plant site and within the sanitary protection zone remain within prescribed limits. The absence of a threat to nuclear safety following these attacks does not diminish the danger posed by strikes on the ZNPP territory.

🎙 News conference by Russia’s G20 Sherpa Denis Agafonov following the third Sherpa meeting on preparations for the G20 Summit (Washington, D.C., October 2, 2026) Key points: • A series of events, expert meetings and ministerial industry dialogues were held ahead of the G20 Summit in Miami scheduled for December 2026. • Largely based on the agreements reached during the industry dialogue by the United States, a draft declaration has been developed that will likely be called the Doral Declaration, as custom has it. • Our meeting focused mainly on the work on this declaration. The discussion helped identify both converging views and areas of disagreement. • Before the summit convenes, both the presiding party and the sherpas are to find ways to reach consensus and agree on the matters that the country leaders could approve in December in Miami. • We support the United States’ ambition to produce a finalised and approved document. • I believe that right now, we are moving in the right direction towards a final declaration that will reflect the actual key economic problems and potential solutions. #Agenda • We share the United States’ view that the Group of Twenty shall return to its origins and focus on macroeconomic issues. Our positions are close on many industry-specific topics as well as on energy. However, there are certain matters that should certainly be considered in a slightly different light. #Geopolitics • Of course, the geopolitical context occasionally arises in the discussion and it currently has a broad geography, but overall, the dialogue is well-balanced and non-confrontational. #RussiaG20 • On Russia’s Side, the heads of federal executive bodies at the ministerial level participated in almost all the events concerning the four priorities, which reaffirms our attention and our understanding of the importance of the G20 format. • The business aspect of Russia-US cooperation within the Group of Twenty can be described as currently being on pause. • The decision on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s participation in this year’s G20 Summit in Miami will be made closer to the event. • Russia intends to participate in the G20 events in Britain in 2027. #SouthAfrica • The decision [not to invite South Africa to the G20 Summit] is without authority. We insist on South Africa’s immediate reinstatement. • During the recent BRICS summit, participants adopted the New Delhi Declaration, which contains a specific paragraph <...> on interaction within the Group of Twenty and clearly articulates the stance of all #BRICS countries on solidarity with South Africa. • We hope that common sense will prevail and South Africa will participate in further events. #Poland • US officials have spoken of Poland’s potential participation in the G20. <...> This matter requires the consensus of all G20 countries. #AI • The G20, being a framework that consolidates various points of view, could be an appropriate platform for discussing artificial intelligence.

🚀 On October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union opened humanity’s path to the stars! #OTD, the Space Age officially began: the world’s first artificial satellite – Sputnik 1 – entered Earth’s orbit. At 10:28 pm Moscow time, an R-7 launch vehicle, developed under the leadership of the outstanding Soviet rocket engineer Sergey Korolev, lifted off from the Tyuratam launch site (later named Baikonur). Just over five minutes later, the satellite separated from the rocket and transmitted its world-famous signals: “Beep! Beep!” 📰 On October 5, 1957, Soviet newspaper Pravda reported:
On October 4, 1957, the USSR successfully launched the first satellite. The satellite is currently following an elliptical orbit around Earth, and its flight can be observed in the light of the rising and setting Sun using the simplest optical instruments. Updates on the movement of the first artificial satellite, launched in the USSR on October 4, will be broadcast regularly by radio stations.
🛰 An aluminium sphere 58 centimetres (~23 inches) in diameter, weighing 83.6 kilograms (~184 pounds), with four antennas and two radio transmitters – this was humanity’s first envoy in orbit. Behind its simple exterior lay the immense efforts of Soviet scientists, engineers and workers. Sputnik completed an orbit around Earth roughly every 96 minutes, and radio enthusiasts worldwide picked up its famous signals. Its radio transmitters operated for about three weeks, while the satellite itself remained in orbit for 92 days. During that time, it completed 1,440 orbits around Earth, travelling some 60 million kilometres (~ 37.3 million miles). Its flight ended on January 4, 1958, when it entered the dense layers of the atmosphere and burned up. The historic launch validated the calculations and technical solutions needed to reach space. Observations of the satellite gave scientists new data on the density of the upper atmosphere and the propagation of radio waves through the ionosphere. 🌐 Sputnik 1 was a triumph of Soviet science and engineering – an achievement for all humanity. It proved that the path beyond Earth was open – paving the way for Yuri Gagarin’s flight, the exploration of the Moon and other planets, and the construction of orbital stations. For 6️⃣9️⃣ years, satellites have served humanity. Today, they are essential to everyday life: they provide communications and television broadcasting, help us navigate, forecast the weather and monitor climate change. ☝️ But the first was ours. Forever. #Sputnik1

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On 3 October 2000, #RussiaIndia Declaration on Strategic Partnership was signed, marking the beginning of a new era in Moscow–New Delhi relations and setting out the key areas for their further development. The Document was signed during President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin’s state visit to India, which took place on 2–5 October 2000. Since then, Russian-Indian cooperation has reached an even higher level — that of a Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. 🤝 #India is a long-standing and reliable partner of Russia. For decades, our nations have maintained friendly and trusting relations, grounded in the equal consideration of each other’s interests, mutual respect and a shared commitment to advancing an inclusive and non-confrontational international agenda. 🌐 We are committed to shaping a #MultipolarWorld order and advocate the democratisation of international relations. Russia and India are enhancing their cooperation in multilateral formats, first and foremost within the #G20, #UN, #BRICS and #SCO. Political dialogue between Moscow and New Delhi at the highest and high levels, as well as through foreign ministries and other government agencies, remains dynamic. 💬 President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in his statement to the media following Russian-Indian talks (New Delhi, 5 December 2025):
Russia and India pursue an independent and sovereign foreign policy. Together with our BRICS partners and other countries of the Global Majority, we are promoting the emergence of a fairer and more democratic multipolar world order and upholding the fundamental principles of international law enshrined in the #UNCharter. These include the right of every country to pursue its own path of development and preserve its cultural and civilisational identity, respect for sovereignty, and a carefully calibrated balance of interests of all members of the international community.
🎉 We extend our warmest congratulations to our Indian colleagues and friends on this shared milestone!

⚡️ Foreign Ministry statement reiterating warnings to foreign nationals and diplomatic personnel against remaining in Kiev or near military facilities in Ukraine (October 3 , 2026) The Russian Foreign Ministry reiterates that, in response to terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against Russia’s civilian population and infrastructure, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to carry out systematic and sustained strikes against military targets in Kiev and other Ukrainian cities. The Russian side has previously called on foreign nationals and diplomatic personnel located in Kiev to leave the city and refrain from travelling to Ukraine. Russian authorities have also urged Ukrainian residents to stay away from military and administrative facilities. These warnings were conveyed in the statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on May 25, 2026, as well as through diplomatic notes addressed to foreign partners. They were also reiterated by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin during a briefing for members of the diplomatic corps on May 27, 2026. The authorities of a number of countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, European Union member states, Norway, and Switzerland, have repeatedly advised their citizens against travelling to Ukraine, most recently in August of this year. We note with concern that not everyone has taken these warnings into account and that some individuals are knowingly placing themselves in mortal danger. A number of foreign embassies continue to operate in Kiev, and foreign officials continue to visit Ukraine. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will continue to carry out large-scale retaliatory strikes. ❗️ The Russian Foreign Ministry once again urges foreign nationals, including personnel of diplomatic missions, to refrain from remaining in or travelling to Ukraine. Responsibility for any possible adverse consequences lies entirely with those who choose to disregard this warning.

⚡️ Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation: Corruption in Ukraine stands in the way of negotiations The Press
⚡️ Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation: Corruption in Ukraine stands in the way of negotiations The Press Bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (#SVR) reports that, according to information received by the SVR, the new leadership of Ukraine’s security service (SBU) has devised yet another scheme to steal European taxpayers’ money, this time through purchases of pistols from EU countries for the agency. The scheme involves procuring weapons through a network of intermediaries in Eastern Europe, with the price per pistol tripling along the way – from €250 to €750. A central role is played by the Polish company Wytwornia Broni Jacek Popinski, registered in Rogow, Lodz Province. It purchases pistols, including from the Panamanian branch of Austrian firearms manufacturer Glock, and resells them to Ukraine. ☝️ For every shipment of 5,000 pistols, €625,000 is transferred to accounts held by trusted associates of the SBU leadership. The Belgian and German defence ministries foot the entire bill. One can only imagine the scale of theft and corruption involved in Kiev’s purchases of more expensive weapons, particularly scarce ammunition for surface-to-air missile systems. Zelensky’s remarks about the sudden emergence of an unplanned $27 billion “hole” in Ukraine’s military budget may offer 🔎 a clue. As usual, Kiev and its European sponsors will make up the shortfall with money taken from ordinary citizens across Europe. ❗️ This information explains why Ukraine’s gauleiter and his entourage so stubbornly refuse to pursue a peaceful end to the conflict. Blinded by easy money, they simply cannot stop lining their pockets from a war that is devastating for Ukrainians.

🎙 Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s answer to a media question regarding the withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq (October 2, 2026) ❓ Question: On September 30, the US-led Anti-ISIS Coalition announced the completion of its troop withdrawal from Iraq. How does Russia view this event? 💬 Maria Zakharova: Indeed, on September 30, the twelve-year presence in Iraq of the so-called International Anti-ISIS Coalition came to an end. All remaining bases of the US Armed Forces and their allies in the country – mainly within Iraqi Kurdistan – have been fully transferred to the control of the Iraqi military. The decision by the Iraqi Parliament, adopted in January 2020 and fully reflecting the aspiration of its people to restore and consolidate state sovereignty after the prolonged presence of foreign forces, has thus been implemented. That presence had effectively continued since 2003 – from the moment of the American invasion under a completely contrived pretext, which triggered decades of instability across the wider region. The withdrawal of troops from Iraq, which we certainly welcome, demonstrates that the Iraqi army and security forces are capable of independently addressing the task of strengthening the state’s defence capability and ensuring national security. They are capable, among other things, of countering the terrorist threat emanating from ISIS and other such organisations. We are convinced that the Iraqi people will be able to successfully withstand any internal and external challenges that confront them. The guarantee of this lies in neighbourly relations and coordination with neighbouring countries; in this regard, we would like once again to draw attention to the Collective Security Concept for the Gulf Region proposed by Russia. ☝️ It proceeds from the understanding that it is precisely the states located there, such as Iraq, that play the leading role in maintaining stability in this strategically important region through close interaction among themselves.

⚡️ Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian MFA Rodion Miroshnik in an interview with Russia Today on the humanitarian disaster in #Alyoshki caused by Ukrainian militants (Geneva, October 1, 2026) Key points: • Around 1,000-1,100 people remain in Alyoshki, out of a population of 24,000. Most are people with limited mobility and close relatives who cannot leave them behind. • The city has been without electricity and a centralised water supply for about three years. Communication is sporadic, making it difficult to contact residents and verify exact figures. • Ukrainian forces plant mines every day along the main roads used to deliver food and essential supplies and to evacuate residents. The city can now be reached or left only on foot, while avoiding areas riddled with anti-personnel mines. • Ukraine claims it is dropping humanitarian aid from drones. But how are residents of Alyoshki supposed to distinguish them from the drones that bomb them? After three years of hourly Ukrainian drone attacks, how can anyone seriously expect people to trust such an approach? • On May 1, 2025, Ukrainian drones attacked the local market for several hours. Anyone who emerged from cover came under fire. Seven people were killed on the spot, and more than 20 were evacuated with extremely serious injuries. ❗️ If Ukraine stopped carrying out strikes, the severe humanitarian situation in the city could be resolved within hours. Russian troops are clearing roads mined by Ukrainian militants. • Some residents have left along footpaths in recent days, finding refuge elsewhere in the Kherson Region or beyond. Regional authorities and federal agencies are providing assistance to them. • Ukraine's propaganda campaign is deeply cynical. Kiev is trying to blame Moscow for its own actions while claiming to care about the people of Alyoshki. • Zelensky's Western handlers readily embrace slogans such as “Save Alyoshki”. But save Alyoshki from whom? 👉 From Ukrainian militants, Ukrainian drone strikes and Ukrainian mines that prevent residents from leaving. • These are attempts to divert attention from Ukraine’s losses and its inability to achieve results on the battlefield. With the help of Western specialists, the crisis is being used for propaganda and psychological operations. • Support for the Kiev regime goes beyond funding and weapons supplies. It also includes justifying its actions and blocking attempts to investigate its crimes or hold those responsible accountable. • The same Western countries keep parroting recycled talking points: they want to blame Russia for everything while preventing any investigation into Ukrainian crimes. It is hardly surprising that they are unwilling to scrutinise their own complicity. #KievRegimeCrimes

🎙Statement by Ms. Iulia Zhdanova, Head of the Delegation of the Russian Federation to the Vienna Negotiations on Military Se
🎙Statement by Ms. Iulia Zhdanova, Head of the Delegation of the Russian Federation to the Vienna Negotiations on Military Security and Arms Control, at the 1147th meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation Vienna, September 30, 2026 Agenda item: Special Military operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine • The reckless actions of the Kiev regime's Western sponsors continue to pose a threat to peace and security. Right now, Europe is doing everything it can to hinder a peaceful settlement and disrupt the prospects for negotiations: they are pumping the Ukrainian regime with money and weapons, and helping to aim UAVs and missiles at civilians and civilian infrastructure. • European countries are deliberately escalating the situation. They continue to convince their citizens of a mythical "Russian threat" and the need to prepare for hostilities, for a war against Russia. Their goal is the routinization and normalization of a critical scenario in the public consciousness. The course toward fueling the conflict is evident. • It has long been clear that the territory of Ukraine is being used by #NATO member states as a testing ground for trying out new weapons systems and disposing of old ones under real combat conditions. However, it is also a convenient way for Western pseudo-peacemakers to fight Russia by proxy for the time being, while remaining "above the main fray." To this end, the process of "merging" the military-industrial complexes of Ukraine and European countries is underway at full speed. • The current course of European governments is clearly aimed at preparing their military-industrial complex, state apparatus, economy, and civilian infrastructure for aggressive actions against Russia. Under these conditions, the recent statements made in New York by #NATO Secretary General M. Rutte—that #NATO countries are ready to provide Ukraine with certain security guarantees after the conflict—prove once again that neither the Kiev regime nor its Western handlers are aimed at de-escalation and a settlement. • Within the framework of the special military operation, we note numerous instances of the Kiev regime violating the norms and principles of international humanitarian law (IHL). Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) units are mining territories of the Russian Federation to inflict damage on civilian infrastructure and the peaceful population. To this end, Kiev deliberately uses mines, booby traps, and improvised explosive devices, which are deployed to mine roadsides between settlements, bridges, dams, residential buildings, medical institutions, schools, and kindergartens. • In the European Union, where they boast of "European values," they have remained completely silent: not a single word of condemnation. They only say that Ukraine is helping to defend "European values." In the West, humanitarian norms are being transformed from universal obligations into a tool for selective polemics, while the interests of the victims recede into the background, if not the third plan. • The West also covers up widespread human rights violations during mobilization in Ukraine. This refers to the forced delivery of citizens to territorial recruitment centers (TRCs), unlawful imprisonment, physical violence, and the obstruction of access to legal assistance. • Having started the special military operation in 2022 to protect the people of Donbas and Novorossiya from extermination by the Kiev regime, Russia continues to fight for their security and rights in full accordance with the letter and spirit of the UN Charter. Our struggle for truth and justice will be carried through to the end: the goals of the SMO will be achieved, threats to Russia's security eliminated, and peaceful life restored.
