"If we die, always remember us. Don't let us become numbers": The last post of Abdulrahman (Abed) Tanani: journalist, father, husband, brother, comrade, son of Jabalia, in love with the Strip, the cause, and Palestine—all of Palestine. He was the resilient martyr, a storyteller who shared with us all struggles of the prisoners and the oppressed. His heart overflowed with love—for his people, the downtrodden, the working class, the prisoners, the wounded. He was their voice, the voice of the martyrs and of truth. Thus, from Gaza, Abed founded an independent media network, Taqadomy ("Progressive"), a true inspiration for Resistance News Network and one of the most influential, well-known pages among youth in Palestine and Arab world. It spread the popular voice, the voice of resistance. It shared news joyful and sorrowful, reminding us why we resist. It was taken down once, twice, ten times; that never stopped Abed. His determination grew. From Gaza, he shared the operations of the West Bank, as if he was there, celebrating with us and bringing them to life. He mourned the martyrs across Palestine. He criticized normalization and "coexistence," resisting with every word in the face of imperialism's fangs, manifesting Basil's saying: "Palestine is the moral standard for any human." Abed was the voice of the prisoners, understanding that the prisoners are the core, the crux, and the heart of the liberation struggle. He would rush to national and Palestinian events to raise his voice loud. A student activist, he graduated with honors from Al-Quds Open University, never forgetting the students, especially prisoners. In fact, Abed founded Taqadomy because of attacks on fellow students in West Bank universities in 2019, affirming unity of the fields. He once said: "So many stories behind every arrest...It’s sad that we report the news of an arrest in such a superficial, ordinary way." On prisoner Kamal Abu Waer, he said: "In a small margin in one corner of the page, unnoticed amidst the noise of the headlines and condolences flooding the page, the news of a prisoner’s martyrdom is written. Is this the loyalty to their sacrifices? Is this the value of honorable fighters?" Today, the Government Media Office recognizes Abed as the 182nd martyr journalist in Gaza, a year after his martyrdom on October 17th, 2023. Without doubt, Abed smiles knowing his martyrdom was on this iconic day for the Front. Notably, he made the list because of his affiliation with Sawt Al-Shaab radio; many martyred independent or online journalists are not found in the "official" list. Abed turned 24 a month before his martyrdom and was married two years before, having his son Mohammed, beloved by Abed's parents. Dutiful, compassionate, affectionate: this is how Abed was known. Abed ascended alongside his brother Abdelfattah—a fighter in the Abu Ali Brigades and graphic designer, and his brother's wife and son. Abed was the fighting journalist, the clashing intellectual, the voice and light of truth and justice in the heart of Gaza, his pen his sword, as Ghassan and Basil before him. Abed banged on the walls of the tank, as did Gaza's resistance on October 7th. He saw no direction but up, his soul leaping without hesitation, earning his right to martyrdom. Here, we recall Basil's words:
"It is difficult to write your will. For years, I have pondered over the wills of the martyrs that they wrote. Those wills have always spoken to me—brief, concise, lacking eloquence, failing to quench our thirst for understanding the questions of martyrdom. Now, as I walk toward my fate, satisfied and convinced, I have found my answers. Woe to me, how foolish I am! Is there anything more eloquent and expressive than the act of the martyr? I should have written this long ago, but what kept me from doing so was the realization that this is your question, you who are still alive. So why should I answer on your behalf? You should be the ones searching. As for us, the people of the graves, we seek nothing but God's mercy."
Abed found his answers. Have we found ours?

By Mujamma Haraket: "Al-Majd (مجد) is an acronym for منظمة الجهاد والدعوة (Munaẓẓamat al-Jihād wa-l-Daʿwa), literally “The Jihad and Daʿwa Organization,” the intelligence organization inaugurated by the facet of the Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood associated with Sheikh Yassin. Today, al-Majd—which, as a component of the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades’ broader formation, continues its intelligence and counterintelligence gathering efforts—is perhaps best known for having been honed by the late Hamas political bureau leader Yahya al-Sinwar, who, during his nascent military career, spearheaded the organization, identifying and extinguishing agents within the Gaza Strip who were collaborating with the occupation ...This study ... illuminates al-Majd’s presence within the occupation’s prisons, which has hitherto neither received scholarly consideration nor been documented in any secondary sources." https://mujammaharaket.substack.com/p/hamass-al-majd-a-comprehensive-history

After 13 years of separation, the family of Ashraf al-Wawi, a liberated Palestinian prisoner from the city of Tulkarem who was sentenced to life imprisonment, reunited with him in Turkey. This reunion took place after he was deported to Turkey following his release as part of the Toufan al-Ahrar prisoner exchange. He was previously liberated 15 years ago, as part of the Wafa al-Ahrar exchange, and was one of the dozens of liberated Palestinians targeted for re-arrest and the reimposition of their original sentence. The liberation of the Wafa al-Ahrar prisoners was then a high priority in the following exchanges.

The people’s ruling is executed. The month of October is a testimony that the Palestinian resistance against the zionist occupation is a continuous endeavor, from October 7th, the launch of the blessed Al-Aqsa Flood of 2023, to today, the 17th of October, marking the 2001 assassination of zionist minister Rehavam Ze’evi. Our prisoners are at the heart of "Glorious October," as it is known, marking the anniversary of the Loyalty to the Free exchange deal. The operation was executed by Majdi Al-Rimawi, Hamdi Qu’ran, Basil Al-Asmar, Ahed Abu Ghalama and led by Secretary-General Ahmed Sa’adat as a rapid response to the assassination of Abu Ali Mustafa. In honor of the 23rd anniversary of the 17th, the day which demonstrated “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a head for a head,” RNN has translated and published a short story written by the martyr Basil Al-Araj, published on Al-Hadath, which follows the four comrades of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, painting the story of the operation from their point of view from start to finish, titled The Panorama of Ze’evi’s Assassination. You may read the translated story on our Medium page here: https://medium.com/@resistancenewsnetwork/panorama-of-zeevi-s-assassination-0a940d5c2d12

We stand together with Palestine and all those taking action in solidarity. Together we can defeat the war machine and imagine a world built on justice not on violence and profiteering. People must always come before profit. Crow, Daniel, Leandra, Vi and Zo entered Elbit Systems in Ulm on Sept 8, 2025. What happens to them will shape what solidarity is allowed to look like in Germany. Germany protects its arms industry while those who tried to stop it face years behind bars.
