The Trump administration on Thursday finalized new double digit tariffs on dozens of US trading partners as it seeks to reconstitute sweeping duties struck down by the Supreme Court in February.
The new duties, which range from 10 to 12.5 percent, follow a five month investigation into trading partners' efforts to root out products made with forced labor from their supply chains and are set to take effect just as a temporary global 10 percent tariff expires.
Starting Friday, 17 trading partners - including Canada, the European Union, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Mexico - will face a 10 percent duty, along with another 10 countries that agreed to address forced labor through signed trade agreements with the US.

Just like the US invasion and occupation of Iraq (which continues to this day), the US lied to start a war with Iran and is now using the growing number of dead US service members as justification for continuing the war.
The growing number of dead US service members in Iraq became in and of itself a pretext to continue the war/occupation - and the retroactive justification was used by all US presidential administrations once in office no matter what they promised during campaigns.
As warned, the US has no intention of ending its war with Iran nor does it seek to stop regional destruction - it all serves the wider objective of burning the multipolar world down in place of being able to match or contain it.

The war in Ukraine is directed by neither of these men, nor Ukraine's government or military - all of which are tools used by the US in its proxy war on Russia;
These same publications, like the NYT, have admitted the US runs the war from a command center in Germany while Ukraine's military and intelligence agencies have been built from the bottom up as extensions of US military and intelligence capabilities;
This political drama, instead, is meant to manage public perception inside Ukraine and across the West as Ukraine is fully pushed deep inside the woodchipper of proxy war - creating the illusion of responsibility among proxies and harmless pathways for public anger to take that never recognize let alone address the true interests driving the war.

"If these are assessments shared by the Americans, then what can we do? ...Lawyers representing YouTube filed a notice of appeal Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, less than a week after Meta, which was also a defendant in the case, filed its own notice of appeal. The lawyers are expected to provide their arguments related to the appeal in later court filings.
The case centered on a 20 year old woman who said she became addicted to social media as a child and that it worsened her mental health struggles. The jury found that negligence by both Google owned YouTube and Meta was a substantial factor in causing harm to the young woman, identified in court only by her initials, KGM, and her first name, Kaley...
I bet AI did it. All on its own! All these social media companies are very well aware of exploiting human psychology and getting people addicted. It was done on purpose. Literally dozens of people from the industry came out to admit it.
