Some 4.5 million people are estimated to have died due to US wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere as part of the so called "War on Terror."
...The poll was commissioned ahead of the 25th anniversary of the attacks, which the US government used as a pretext to launch the so-called "War on Terror" that led to the deaths of nearly 5 million people. Respondents were asked if fighting "against the threat of terrorism through military operations abroad" and introducing "increased security and surveillance inside of the United States ... have been worth the cost." Forty eight percent responded yes, while another 27 percent said they weren't sure. The remaining 25 percent said no...

President Donald Trump bashed "treasonous" reporting of purported dwindling stockpiles of American munitions, stating that the United States has "virtually unlimited" supplies. In a Thursday Truth Social post, Trump denied that the country was facing an ammunition shortage as the US Iran conflict persists into the seventh month.
"The people and Media Outlets that keep harping on the fact that we have no ammunition (And they are 100% wrong!), are actually treasonous. They do it because they would rather see the United States LOSE a War that we're easily WINNING, than see me WIN!" Trump wrote.
No, they're not "treasonous." He probably doesn't know what the word means. And no, we don't have "virtually unlimited" supplies of anything other than retards.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on 1 September that the Strait of Hormuz will become a "worthless piece of water," bypassed entirely by overland oil pipelines, as part of a broader effort to "asphyxiate" Iran's economy.

Oh no, hahaha, he said the thing! The Strait of Hormuz lost its strategic significance all of a sudden. But I thought we controlled it! Anyway, jokes aside, I suspect he's probably right, as unfortunate as that is. The reason I think that is I don't see Iran bombing the new projects. Just like they're actively avoiding causing serious casualties among US soldiers. Can't upset the CIA too much. Is-la-ma-bad!

European benchmark natural gas futures climbed to their highest level since January 2023 as the US launches renewed waves of strikes against Iran, resparking concerns about liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply from West Asia, Bloomberg reported on 1 September.
The price of gas in Europe, measured by Dutch front month futures, rose 5.9 percent to €73.95 ($85.62) per megawatt hour.

The US overtook Russia as Turkiye's largest crude oil supplier in June, as western sanctions on Russian energy firms and Ukrainian attacks in the Black Sea pushed Turkish refiners toward Washington.
According to Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) figures reported by Turkish daily Sozcu on 29 August, US crude made up 21 percent of Turkiye's crude oil imports for the month, or 570,676 tons, up from 13 percent in May and nothing at all through April.
Russia still holds the overall lead in combined imports of crude oil and refined petroleum products, supplying 1.52 million tons in June against 570,676 tons from the US and 464,022 tons from Kazakhstan.
Turkiye sharply increased diesel imports from India and the US in August, with flows reaching more than 120,000 barrels per day (bpd) from India and about 90,000 bpd from the US, according to Kpler data cited by Middle East Eye (MEE) on 2 September...

Ukraine has no agency. Plans to disrupt Russians civilian aviation is part of a wider "Extending Russia" strategy the US has pursued for years, placing pressure across all domains - militarily, politically, financially, & economically - including all subcategories there in, including civilian aviation;
Since Russia cannot/will not impose costs on the US, its only course of action is to retaliate against Ukraine, an entirely disposable proxy from Washington & Wall Street's perspective;
Russia's strategy might focus on neutralizing US proxies & weathering US proxy war through its many means, all while avoiding overextention, and in this way, defeating the US strategy;
Failure for Russia to do so means, no matter how badly Ukraine is destroyed, the US still advances its objectives.
