Multiple locations across Iran were struck during the five hour mission, mainly along the country's coast and in the Strait of Hormuz, targeting "Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities," CENTCOM said in a Monday statement.
The attack began at 4:45 p.m. ET on Monday and ended at 10:15 p.m. ET, the command said.
The strikes represent the latest wave of US hostilities after the conflict reignited in the region last week. According to CENTCOM, Iran targeted four commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz last week, with American forces launching a slew of attacks in response over multiple nights.

Gov. Kathy Hochul is enacting the nation's first state level moratorium on large scale data center construction amid concerns over the impact of the facilities meant to support artificial intelligence.
The move, being implemented through an executive order Hochul will sign Tuesday, pauses construction permits for up to one year so that state officials can create a regulatory plan addressing energy and environmental issues.
"As data center development threatens to hike up utility bills, deplete our natural resources, and create uncertainty for New Yorkers, it's my responsibility to take action and lead," Hochul said. "New York will lead the way in creating the strongest standards in the nation for data center development, ensuring that when companies succeed because of New York, New Yorkers succeed too."

The White House has launched a sweeping campaign to dismantle the International Criminal Court (ICC) in a drive to shield officials and soldiers from any prosecution over war crimes committed abroad, US State Secretary Marco Rubio announced on 13 July.
Rubio cast the campaign against the ICC as a "defense of US sovereignty," dismissing the ICC as "a global tribunal staffed by unelected globalist bureaucrats" waging "a war against our country... with statutes and compacts and the force of so called international law."

Measures will include a new specialist team of 300 Metropolitan Police officers dedicated to protecting Jewish communities in London, following incidents including the stabbing of two Jewish men in Golders Green in April and a series of firebomb and arson attacks on synagogues.
The money will also enable the continuation of Project Servator, which deploys specialist and plain-clothes officers who are trained to identify suspicious behaviour and prevent serious crime.
